That is very true! This was actually his performance for something called a gala which occurs after the competition (this was at the 2019 world championship) so he didn’t compete with this program! Moreover, the galas are usually my favorite part of the event because it’s more expressive and theatrical! They’re allowed to have props, more diverse concepts, backflips!(Which are prohibited in the competition) and of course spotlights that makes it oh so much more dramatic and fun ;D
