The stepped sea wall with the fun fair behind it in your opening scene is normally very reliable for purple sandpipers. But you do have the wall as an immediate background of course.
Extremely early I am! so early in fact I have to comment before finishing the video. anyways, keep up the great work Paul we love the videos more than you'll ever know!!
Simple mathematics at play here Paul 🙂, Dogs = No waders. Turnstone one of the few wader species that will tolerate them Nice video as always Paul, showing the 'reality' of bird photography in Britain.
Hello Paul. Very good video as always. Is canon ef 300mm f4 good lens as my second wildlife photography lens? My first lens is canon ef 75-300mm its really not sharp...
Thank you for another great video Paul. The challenges of photography are real 😂
super stuff Paul
I draw the line at crawling around in wet sand, soooooo I come here to watch you!! You're a jolly good sport, Paul! CHEERS!
No problem! As long as people enjoy it. I enjoy it too.. although it is hard work.
Magnifique vidéo ..👍

Thanks for the tip, appreciate it. I have photographed them on the other side of the harbour. The main problem here are the dogs!

Thanks so much. That means a lot. Enjoy!
I've booked a week in Bridlington in September, hopefully the birds will cooperate!
Awesome. Might not be many waders then as it's mostly winter, but some hirds will be around. @@grahamhopkinson8932
Great stuff Paul. Some beautiful images.those turnstones came so close. Changing the subject, do you do camera trapping?
I'm HOPING for a day at Bempton if I'm fit enough
Great stuff as always, Paul! Thanks for sharing!
Many thanks.
Great video!
Much appreciated.
I felt your pain ! Cracking little bird a Turnstone. Thanks for sharing Paul.
Cheers Steve. Yeah, I love the Turnstones!
Great video Paul, I need to get myself down to a coast !!!
It can be a lot of fun! Just make sure you check the tides.
Awesome video as always 🤗
Many thanks!
Another brilliant video paul .like how you persevered and ended with some great pictures. Maybe you could do a video on how to photograph dogs😂😂
Haha! Well I've probably had enough experience with them.

Thank you. Yes, it's not easy for sure. Just the reality in Britain.
Great video Paul, hope the camera cleans down OK. Do you have a hot shoe cover?
The camera seems fine. Good point.. no I don't, but might be a good idea in this environment.

I would say yes. I used that 300mm for years, and if you get the best extender it is very reasonable with that too, e.g. a 1.4x.
Or 400mm f/5.6? Because I know you used these lenses.
I would prefer the 400mm f 5.6. I think you'd be happy with it. Very old lens but still great value. Around £500 used.
Thanks
All that sand and not just on the beach
It gets everywhere..
