Good afternoon from the sizzling SF Bay Area. Thanks for another thoughtful conversation helping me better understand how Christians are viewing the world. As an old liberal from an Evangelical Republican clan, my father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncles were pastors, I still struggle to grasp what has happened to Christians including many of my family members. Those men would be shocked speechless to see what is going on. I think the lure of wealthy secular life is just too overwhelming for the average American "Christian," so Jesus and his teachings are simply too unAmerican, too demanding, too not fun. I commend how you are using this platform. Blessings.

Of the 3 topics, the Christian universities closing was the most interesting. I appreciated hearing Alan, Russell, and Clarissa discussing it. Unfortunately, I don’t have anything enlightening to add. Thank you CT for this episode.

seems to be a weird and intense preoccupation with complaining about the existence or Amber Rose, who apparently must remain nameless, and I can't figure out what it's about. Especially strange to see someone trying to dehumanize her while banging a drum about the personhood of unborn children.
    Seems noteworthy

I didn't watch the RNC. I knew I couldn't stomach it. I did know about Hulk Hogan's appearance, I didn't know about the porn star. I just wonder what my Dad a conservative WWIi veteran would think about his beloved Republican party now. He has been gone since 1975, so he has missed a whole lot of crazy.

The fall of Kabul, seen as a great failure? One more time, a less than A+ perfect brings condemnation and animated revulsion (and no real concern for those who did suffer loss). Maybe this is part of that narcissist behavior that sees all others as lacking, failing while his own behavior? Out of his mouth, “I think if I do something wrong, I think, I just try and make it right. I don’t bring God into that picture.” Does he and his following offer that grace to another? No. Another's "something wrong" brings total rejection, comparing Biden's (et al) actions to trump's imagined success.

Agreed, its easy to poke holes when comparing to an imagined "could have been". The Afghanistan pull out was messy for sure, but was also initiated by Trump. It's unfortunately a delicate situation that got caught between a contentious (to out it mildly) presidential transition, with one party trying to rush thru their (bad imho) policy before leaving office, and the other trying to make lemons out of it.

Quit sounding frustrated by Trump's latest anti Christian antics. Support the Democrats now.
