Hey Austin. I am a Grandma who retired and played BTOW as my first video game. I fell in love with everything Zelda. I found Skyward Sword to be a real challenge. I got frustrated a few times - Especially the Battle Rush. It took me about 20 tries before I won 8 battles and got the Hylian Shield. I was determined not to give up. I found fighting Demise to be a breeze after the Battle Rush. Thank you for your videos!!!! I could not have finished this game without your help.
Am I the only one that never actually played this game but watched all of Austin’s walkthrough videos just to see what happened??? Thanks Austin for making these, I saw 30 hrs of game time on your save file, I’m sure that was quite a lot of editing!
Funny story for when i recognized Impa, it was literally the first time you meet her in the temple because my only past experiences with Impa before this had been with botw Impa, so im like, "old lady sitting down? Yeah thats Impa" lol
To answer your question Austin: if they make contact that is breaking the rules of time travel. The same person can exist at the same time, but cannot come in contact.
Who really knows about what are the real rules of time travel? Maybe it is just me, but no time traveler wants to be my best friend! I will just need to be like Ventus777777 and get myself a friend who is a time traveler! 🙃
thats if ur using old time travel logic. but if ur using avengers endgame time travel logic then none of that matter and u can do whatever u want in the past cause it does not affect ur current future. weird
Right because isnt it if both Zelda's came into contact would then cause a time paradox or something like that. I'm just guessing. I'm not a time travel expert or anything. As long as both Zelda's do not see each other they should be fine. As an event hasnt occured to trigger the paradox.
if there was a alternate universe of skyward sword Legend of bokoblinet: Downward sword The demon sword - unmastered sword Fi is now ghirahim and ghirahim bosses are now Fi the final boss is Hylia
I’m 2 years late to playing this game but your guides have been an amazing help! Thank you for putting your time and effort into creating these videos to help everyone playing!

Austin can i just say, i always look so forward to when new nintendo titles come out because your tips and walkthroughs save me hours of frustration and honestly i'm still not done with eldin volcano the first time you get there but i watched the whole series because I just love your videos and commentary so much. Such an amazing game that leaves you feeling bittersweet after you finish it. Thank you for these vids they have been so helpful and it was awesome getting to experience this masterpiece of a game again
You know, I've never been huge into the Zelda series it just has never done it for me. But this series was really enjoyable and you can tell it brought Austin new life instead of raid den updates every month
i am saving this for tomorrow but i just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to do such a thorough, and fun walkthrough. i never beat this in the original version and im excited to try since u make it easier to do.
For the Demise fight, if you’re really good at timing and stuff like that, you can deflect his blows with a shield perry. Getting up to 5 blows before he hits you again, in which you can parry him again. You can get Demise into his 2nd phase in about 15 seconds with that tactic
It's a bitter sweet victory. It's been a blast, Austin. These videos made the playthrough extremely more enjoyable for me. Thanks to those in the comments that answered some questions that I left in previous videos. I hope to see another game that you do this with that I'm interested interested in playing.
I thought the same thing Edit: The original Hyrule Warriors game released on the Wii U in 2014 a few years after Skyward Sword on Wii in 2011. It is possible that sequence inspired Hyrule Warriors.

Thank you Austin for great walkthrough! I never played skyward sword but playing for the past month with your helpful guide to complete it 100% has been a blast! First Zelda game I ever 100% completed! Got me into the Zelda lore a bit and now going to try Breath of the wild!! Looking forward to more walkthroughs on your channel! I’ve really enjoyed this series, I never finished the original & unfortunately am not in a position to buy this one so this play through has been awesome. Appreciate it!
A Note about Girahim Third Fight: First Phase - Aggressive attacks are the name of the game until the edges. Watch out for him winding up for a kick or punch attack while attacking as you either need to parry with your shield bash or get out of the way to avoid damage. Be careful of his dimensional orbs on his hands (on the second and third platforms) which allow him to switch places with you and then he winds up another kick to kick you off the platform if you don't maneuver away from him. Second Phase - There is a way to stay up close to him and still defeat him. He is more aggressive, but not that bad, especially with the problem of the dead man's volley mostly solved. He still does that attack, but it is actually better to avoid it or shield bash the beam; especially if you aren't good at matching the sword strikes. I like to shield bash his stabs or slashes and then aggressively attack three to four times in the same direction to his sword quickly; shield bashing if he counters to avoid damage. Eventually Girahim's sabre falls out of his hand allowing you to get at least 2-3 hits into the exposed jewel for faster and more reliable damage in shorter time than waiting for his dead man's volley to give you 4 hits in one go. Third Phase - If you shield bash the attack he winds up first, you can get him on the defensive faster. If you attack immediately, Girahim pretty much has a lot of what dark souls players like to call high poise so he can possibly hit you before you force him into the defensive unless you shield bash him when he attacks to disrupt his big sword before he follows up. As you have seen in the third phase his sword only is chipped away if you strike at the edges, not the pommel and definitely not the tip. Both are parry points which will allow Girahim to get away and repair if his broadsword needs repair or to counter attack before you have a chance to put him back in the defensive which means you need to shield bash after he winds up his broadsword to force him to the defensive again. He changes sword angles frequently, but if you attack the broadsword in a diagonal slashing pattern as much as possible, you will not have Girahim parry you and counter at all because he only parries against horizontal and vertical strikes. This also allows you to quickly break his broadsword and get damage into him. A Note about the Demise fight: First Phase - He has a punch attack that is meant for defeating turtle-type players of Link that don't know how to parry. In order to stay in front of him and get your attacks through, I recommend you shield bash when he attacks to create an opening and try to spin attack to get two hits in for every opening. This allows Demise to be knocked down much earlier. If you stay closer, he will eventually do two attacks in succession that you will need to parry in order to get a spin attack in. Do not spin attack if you attack his sword to find an opening. If you do that he will damage you despite you doing twice as much normal damage. This is great for the lightning round and also for hero mode if you are stuck. Also, if he staggers at any point and falls to his knees that is your time to go to town on him to get him on his back. Second Phase - This is much harder, especially in hero mode to prevent getting hit. It is better to try and stay close as before and use the shield parry strategy as long as you have the Goddess Shield or Hylian Shield. Do not hit the sword while its charged with lightning unless you want a nasty shock to your hearts (especially on hero mode). If you want to use the lightning as a skyward strike, watch out for his charge attacks. The charge attacks are prevalent in his first phase as well if you get too far away from him. They are hard to parry so hopefully you time your dodge right (right before his swipe at the end of the charge). You can also wait until he gets rid of the lightning on his sword to get it for yourself, but it can land you into trouble once you dodge the lightning if you are too far away because he will try to charge you just as the lightning bolt bathes your blade and if he hits you, you will lose the lightning on your sword and he can steal it while you recover from his blows. Also, be extra careful about hitting him while he is calling down lightning, you can get a few hits in, but he will get lightning eventually and that will make you hurt badly if you don't dodge away from the AOE when a lightning bolt bathes his blade. Also, If you call down lightning at the same time as him you will most likely get it and can stun him at the same time as he charges at you after you get it instead of him. If you want to be canon accurate, you can fatal blow the first time, but if you are going for a no-damage run, don't bother; it is a trap and if you time your dodge incorrectly once you pull your sword out from the ground he can hit you and it will most likely hurt. Wait until he goes on his back a second time to finish him off. P.S. I know many people do not care about my wall of text, it is just my 2 cents as a veteran of this game when it was on the Wii. I've played the original version along with Twilight Princess for the Wii about 8 times each and I've figured out a lot of ways to defeat enemies and thought I would share for the newcomers.
Thanks for the videos, they helped a ton! I actually went forward in time after defeating Ghirahim 3 and back to Skyloft to fill my potions again before taking on Demise.
Thank you Austin, I just beat the game while following your guides and had a great time! This is the second game I’ve followed you on, with the first being Link’s Awakening. I look forward to your next 100% walkthrough on whatever game that happens to be!
Thank you for such a wonderful series! All the videos were so helpful and I tried to remember to leave a like on each one to help out the channel. Your videos have helped me through countless Zelda and Pokémon pickles and this walkthrough was a wonderful way to experience and complete Skyward Sword!
Thank you so much for making a 100% skyward sword guide. You are such a great content creator and I can't wait for what comes next. I have been subbed since 2017 and I am really happy that you are still creating content.
OMG this game made so emotional ! Really loved your walk through, Austin! Good job, as always...the only problem is that i'm becoming a bit addicted to your videos (bad Austin for having great videos!). God so many feels after this game...and more questions than answers too ( like why don't we just give gratitude crystals to Demise until he becomes a fairy or something, and are Fi and Ghirahim twins? because they look suspiciously similar with Lord G in his final form..are like all of these super beings having AI swords? and so many more) . Anyway, once again, thank you ! I had a fab time
This game is epic. Don't understand the negativity from some jaded gamers. Other than the controls being a pain on the Pro controller it's awesome. Great vids man!!
You made it look so easy. I almost rage quit few times because the control scheme (and to eager to finish him) made it hard for to deliver the fatal blow. Only succeeded after the 5th try...
Just wanna say thanks for your amazing walkthroughs, and also thanks for keepin em light and witty. To say you’ve saved me a lot of frustration would be an understatement lol.
Thanks for the help! This game can be pretty annoying at time, so guides can be invaluable. I left a comment on one of the first videos you did on this game saying that I’ll use these guides if I buy the game, and here we are now! Thanks again. *EDIT:* I decided to replay the game and these videos are still super useful. Thanks!
I know I'm 2 years late, and you probably won't see this, but I just want to say thank you, I was watching a random video, and they had music from Skyward Sword as their outro. When I heard it, it was hit with the memories of when I completed it on the Wii several times, I found your channel on part 1 and binge-watched the entire play through. I've been able to experience the game all over again without the hassle of sourcing consoles, games and accessories. It also looks better this time around since it's HD. I remember when it first released it quickly became stated as the absolute worst Zelda game, I think It's just as good as the others, back then and now. At very least not the worst. 😃
Thank you so much for every seconds of your videos. I play trough alongside with you and it was an amazing journey. Thanks again so much for amazing work. 🥰
To be fair, the definition of an 'eon' is a "period of time often exaggerated for humorous or rhetorical effect". He could've only been sealed for a few years and wanted to return so much that it felt like eons. It's not really an official measurement.
Great videos/playlist. They were an extreme help in finding Goddess Cubes and Pieces of Hearts I missed, as well as tips for one nasty mini-game (well, it was in the Wii version at least).
Austin J. The space time continuum has definitely been altered. That’s why Zelda kept calling Link Calvin Klein and link learned a new harp song...Johnny B. Goode. Thanks for this series mate. Looking forward to your next play through. Great Scot.
To be fair we don't have any established rules for time travel in the Zelda universe. And the same person existing in the same place at the same time is a consequence of time travel into the past existing. It's not a paradox unless you do paradox things like killing yourself in the past or something.
Thanks for helping me through the game i didn't want to use guides and learn it all myself but it ended up taking me 5 hours just to get to the temple so i watched starting from the forest temple so now i;m off to play and 100% hero mode by myself.

Thank You, Austin for helping me beating Skyward Sword HD 100%
A Note about Girahim Third Fight:
First Phase - Aggressive attacks are the name of the game until the edges.
A Note about the Demise fight:
First Phase - He has a punch attack that is meant for defeating turtle-type players of Link that don't know how to parry.
Thanks for making these videos. They helped me a lot during my first playthrough.
Thank you Austin, I just beat the game while following your guides and had a great time! This is the second game I’ve followed you on, with the first being Link’s Awakening. I look forward to your next 100% walkthrough on whatever game that happens to be!
Hey austin just finished the game for every part i used your walkthroughs. Wouldn't have done it without u
Thank you for the walkthrough! I watched everything in its entirety to help me get through my play through! Much appreciated and fantastic job!
Thank you for such a wonderful series! All the videos were so helpful and I tried to remember to leave a like on each one to help out the channel. Your videos have helped me through countless Zelda and Pokémon pickles and this walkthrough was a wonderful way to experience and complete Skyward Sword!
I figured out it was Impa when you called her Impa in a previous episode :-) #payingattention
Awesome walkthrough Austin! Bummed that its over. Really fun to watch
Thanks for the excellent walk through Austin John! Couldn't have done it without you.
Girahims dance is 10/10
Thank you so much for making a 100% skyward sword guide. You are such a great content creator and I can't wait for what comes next. I have been subbed since 2017 and I am really happy that you are still creating content.
Best walk-through yet! Austin has earned a nap!
His Breath of the Wild Walkthroughs were also quite impressive.
Thank You Austin John Plays! You helped me 100% The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword HD!
Your videos are genuinely so good. Whenever you make a walk through on a game I can't not watch it. Keep up the amazing content
Omg Austin congrats on 100% walkthrough complete!
During my fight with Ghirahim I kept hearing Austin's voice reminding me to take my time. It worked.
You made it look so easy. I almost rage quit few times because the control scheme (and to eager to finish him) made it hard for to deliver the fatal blow. Only succeeded after the 5th try...
What a banger series my guy, thank u Austin 👑👑👑
Just wanna say thanks for your amazing walkthroughs, and also thanks for keepin em light and witty. To say you’ve saved me a lot of frustration would be an understatement lol.
Thanks for the help! This game can be pretty annoying at time, so guides can be invaluable. I left a comment on one of the first videos you did on this game saying that I’ll use these guides if I buy the game, and here we are now! Thanks again.
*EDIT:* I decided to replay the game and these videos are still super useful. Thanks!
This walkthrough really helped me out. Thanks! :)
I'm not even halfway through the game and I just had to see Austin John finish the game. Thanks, man!
20:07 yeah NoA fucked up the script, the war did just barely end between Him & Hylia.
To be fair, the definition of an 'eon' is a "period of time often exaggerated for humorous or rhetorical effect". He could've only been sealed for a few years and wanted to return so much that it felt like eons. It's not really an official measurement.
Blah blah blah time flows differently for devine beings and demons, or something.
@@toddbod94 wouldn't even a very long time seem short to them?
I haven’t even got the game and you already finished it, I love this guy
Austin talking to the little sapling is the best part of this video... I guess the final boss fight was cool too... I guess😆
Great videos/playlist. They were an extreme help in finding Goddess Cubes and Pieces of Hearts I missed, as well as tips for one nasty mini-game (well, it was in the Wii version at least).
This series has been awsome, thank you for doing this.
I just finish this game today following this videos and what a amazing game. Thanks for this videos Austin send you big hugs
I wanna say thanks for this, I would have never been able to get through half of the dungeons in this game. Thanks Austin!
Austin J. The space time continuum has definitely been altered. That’s why Zelda kept calling Link Calvin Klein and link learned a new harp song...Johnny B. Goode. Thanks for this series mate. Looking forward to your next play through. Great Scot.
I actually just finished watching the last one, and here’s the final
You pfp lol. 😂
Seriously, THANK YOU!! Without this walkthrough I would have lost my sanity.
you also had young Impa running around with zelda at the beginning of the game while old Impa was with Link
