    Love the rekluse clutch! I have the core EXP in my KTM350 XCF, it's a life saver! Great video!

    KTM loaned me a brand new 250XC-W TPI for the last few weeks so I've been getting as much seat time and footage as I can while I have it. I agree it's a great bike but as far as the slow starting comment, well I did a shootout vs. my 17 250XC and people may be surprised when they see the results. I'll have several videos coming out in the next few weeks about this bike.

    Nicely done! I appreciated the coverage on the Rekluse, I've been using these clutches for years and they have kept me riding since I'm over 70 yrs. old and have moderate to severe arthritis.

    I put on, skid plate, hand guards, foot pegs and brake pedal, cooling fan, radiator guards, rear disc protection and minor graphics! I am a relatively new rider and want to protect my investment! My bike is a 2019 KTM XWC 250 TPI

    • @bodiesillem1041
      @bodiesillem1041 6 лет назад

      Ya true. I would just get a better water pump. But I was asking because there’s one on the bike and he didn’t mention it. Do they come stock with one?

      I have had great luck with the Trail tech fan. Testing another one right now ;) - Justin

      I use the KTM power parts auxiliary fan. (basically the exact same thing as the trail tech one) Its essential on these 105 degree days in the desert 😭. It was boil-over city with out it.

    • @ratcliff3320
      @ratcliff3320 6 лет назад

      I Always install Evans Coolant as soon as I get the a new KTM, it does Not boil. I also install a high flow 12 volt computer fan, which has low amp draw. The Trail Tech draws 2.2 amps.

    Great video! I love the Rekluse clutches, been using them since 2011. I still play on the trials bikes and get my clutch exercise lol but the rekluse clutches work so good and help a ton on the technical terrain. Nice bike build but you should have bought a beta and been done with it :) lol

    I like it. Wished you had more parts for the older ones. Currently have a 1998 wanting to do the tusk brake and shifter. But they make the rear brake pedal. Anyway looks good.

    Keeping my carb'd 2018 250xcw forever, such a good, light 2str. I'd have been ok with TPI too, both are great. No regrets w/ carb version though (I added Lectron since I ride CO mntns)

    Curious what you may have to say after a full year on the bike. I just finished a pretty sweet build on my new 2019 300 TPI. I have a rekluse on my 1090R and after less than 5000 miles, I'm having lots of problems with it. It will stick closed after shutting off the bike and sometimes when slowing down it won't disengage. I've replaced the teflon slider pads, but still having issues. It's was a very expensive addition and I'm not impressed with how it's fared after less than a season of riding. Wondered how your did on the 250 this past year.

    whats service intervals for ktm TPI 250 / 300? trying to find a bike that meets my need. I ride about 7 - 10 hours a day 3x a week

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  6 лет назад

      The depends on the part being serviced. What are you referring to exactly?

    • @RWWRENTAL
      @RWWRENTAL 6 лет назад

      @@rmatvmcHi! like the usual, oil, valves I think one of the KTMs (from what ive heard) has a service of every 5 hour oil changes. im like no way!

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  6 лет назад

      @@RWWRENTAL Yeah, manufacturers tend to have pretty short windows for their service intervals. This bike won't really be any different than other KTM or Husqvarna as far as maintenance and I'm not sure what other bikes are known for manufacturers having longer service intervals. I'm sure there are some forums to could look into on that subject.Sorry I couldn't help out more.

    Did you upgrade the stator for the Squadron Pro LED headlight? I have a 17 300XC and am wondering if I need the 100watt dc vs my stock 30watt dc stator.

    • @Yrocmoto
      @Yrocmoto 5 лет назад

      You will have to upgrade your 17 300XC's stator. The TPI puts out 195W DC stock.

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  6 лет назад +1

      Spark arresters play a critical role in the prevention of wildland fires. If you are riding public trails or forest certified trails you need to be spark arrested.

    justin - i just got my ktm digital fan kit from RM ATV for my 2018 KTM 250 XCW TPI. Question for you, do I need to use any of the two wiring harnesses that came with it? I see the factory fan harness under the tank and it is sort of a fit (slightly different shape, pointy vs smooth) to the harness from the fan. I ran the direct line to the battery, but I wonder if I should have just plugged it into the existing plug??? thanks. Jonny

    • @2wheelsoffroad730
      @2wheelsoffroad730 6 лет назад

      The ECU can control it. There is an unused Aux Fan connector on the stock wiring harness that the ECU controls. However I skipped that and used the two wiring harnesses anyway so that I could control it manually if I needed to. I mounted the supplied switch harness on one of the turn signal holes on the headlight body.

    Hi there, nice video. That Tusk shifter you have on, is it coming loose on you at all? I've purchased it from RM ATV MC but after reading some reviews, that said it will get rounded after 2-3 rides, I decided not to install it. What's your opinion please.

    Man, you gotta come over the hill from peyson, to midas, NV and rip around over here. Bring the whole creew! Do a Northern Nevada/Northern Utah ride with fans/customers video etc. Riding VERY similar to what ya'all have in utah...but less people to tell ya what you can and cant do, or where you can and cant ride. Cattle ranches and gold mines only around here. I made a similar comment on one of your battle born videos, and you replied, saying that sounded fun or whatever. Bring your guns, your fishing rods, your friends and family with sxs, quads and dirtbikes. This little town is nirvana for our type of people. BRAAAAAP! My channle has alot of video examples and things. :)

    If you are getting headshake your suspension is not setup correctly. My 17 250 XC-W has never ever showed a hint of headshake. One spring rate up front and rear with 35mm static sag and 115mm race sag

    Ya bolting on mainly cheep China crap is not a bike build. When a customer brings me a bike we build it for him full springs and valving for his weight and ridding ability and Terrain. Than I use real guards like Hyde. Re wind stators for real Baja led s, set the port knife and compression, sometimes ignition for the riders elevation and ridding style.
