I had this deck for a while. It made my ecoanxiety stronger, so I gave it away. But I remember I loved the art style. A little bit later I got the Celtic Lenormand, which still features WIll Worthington's illustrations but is a little bit easier on my soul with its messages.
Wow I’ve been re-organizing my decks and found this deck again. Great idea to trim it. Love the trimming music 😂. Felt like Prodigy!! Green edge compliments it well ❤ Looking forward to the throwback video
I've just got the wildwood tarot and are modding it! I don't have many decks, and have never modded before, but you have inspired me that it is something I am able to do ✨️🍄💚 so thank you
Really nice job with that Fiskars guillotine 😊 I trimmed my original Wildwood and didn’t like it, it wasn’t as nice and neat as yours. I ended up binning it and re purchasing another copy. If you want a dark green Winsor and Newton the Holly colour is a good one 😍❤️
I have both the Greenwood and the Wildwood. I adore them both and can't choose a favorite. That said, I do tend to use Wildwood more because there's more material for it - the expanded companion book (compared to the original Greenwood book), the "workbook", the Year in the Wildwood book and the Facebook group.
These turned out very well. I think modding decks can sometimes save them. Unfortunately for me, although the modding experience itself wasn't bad, I found I had attached some sort of psychological scarring to the decks I modded by doing so, that kept me from reaching for them. If I had modded this deck, that line at the bottom of the backs would be a constant nagging reminder. I'd probably want to find a way to reback them, but end up screwing everything up by trying to go that far. I took the borders off my Maria Celia in a tin but ended up falling in love with the deck all over again after buying a replacement copy that remained uncut. Our perceptions of things do mature and change over time. I wouldn't be surprised if at some point you buy a replacement copy, but I think it's important to have gone through this process.
I wasn't using The Crow Tarot even tho I liked it. I trimmed off the sides, and now I use it a lot. Even just got Urban Crow Oracle to pair with it. It's amazing the difference borders make.
@@the_hermits_cave The Fiskar guillotine is now on my wishlist 😊👍 I was just wondering how a trimmed Alchemical Tarot (Robert Place) might look 🤔 Might get an older edition to trim though.
I have been looking for a wildwood tarot video from you last week and I was so confused why there weren't any! I have recently purchased the mobile application and I enjoy it so much. I love this synchronicity.
I loved this deck but sadly had to rehome them because I couldn’t read the guidebook. The green print was very straining for my eyes. If there would ever come out a version with black print I’d buy it again in a heartbeat!
I second that the app is great. It has the full text of the book and allows you to adjust the font size, everything is highly accessible in that app. I have the deck and couldn’t live without the app.
I started collecting decks in 2020 (in winter) - even though I had my first majors only when I was 13 or so - and I found tarot-tube (mindblowing) and this was the deck I got. (I decided against The Wild Unknown Tarot by Kim Krans). Now I love both of these decks: The Wildwood and The Wild Unknown (and I even have more than one versions from them) and my whole home is crowded now in all sorts of decks ^^ you know how it goes ^^°
Literally yesterday, I pulled out the Wildwood Tarot from my shelf and was once again (I mean this happens every single time, as I turn to it rarely) pleasantly surprised by the accuracy of the reading and the insane energy coming from this deck! The artwork is stunning!
I used this deck last week and paired it with the old ways magick oracle by Naomi Cornock they are stunning together. I love mine with boarders but your mod is stunning. Thanks for sharing Simon 💜
I’ve just purchased Druid Animal Oracle also drawn by Will Worthington and I’m considering trimming it as the card size is very big. I love this artist’s work ❤
I just got a secondhand Wild Wood! I've been resisting it, but IDK why because I also connect with the Druidcraft too 😂 I've been thinking about printing out my own Greenwood, but I honestly have no idea how to go about it. I would dearly love to know how the WW and GW guidebooks compare.
I have both decks and guidebooks. Most of the Greenwood companion guidebook is contained in the Wildwood companion guidebook. There are differences between the decks so not everything made it into the Wildwood companion guidebook. Overall, the Wildwood guidebook is more comprehensive and, IMO, better. You can view the complete Greenwood Tarot companion guidebook on the internet archive. There's also another guidebook/PDF made by Chesca Potter that is different from the one that came with the deck - it can also be found online. It's a great supplement to the Greenwood companion guidebook.
@@sacredsortilege thank you very much for your reply! I've seen the notes from Chesca, but I didn't know the full GW guidebook was available online. I really appreciate it 🙏
I used to want The Greenwood Tarot, until I watched a video put out by Patrick comparing the Greenwood Tarot to the Wildwood Tarot. I prefer the images on the Wildwood Tarot.
I love this deck. It’s was a deck that I used for daily draws for a good five years. The book is fantastic as well. The messages are powerful without being mean-spirited or aggressive. Thank you for calling attention to this deck.
Excellent work, congrats! i didn't even know a guillotine existed and i trimmed the druid craft deck with my scissors, i didn't do a good job unfortunately.. i wish they had a better quality of paper in this deck , it is really huge and glossy and the box is not good to keep the cards too
You actually reminded me I have this wonderful deck, I think as a collector sometimes decks get lost in there somewhere, I’m sorted this afternoon, I’m going to trim and edge my wildwood, thanks for vid 😊
This was lovely video, and for a day, when I needed it most. When I first left a dangerous relationship, and was trying to calm myself, this deck, and your channel were the things that carried me through. I still remember it was my first attempt ever to modify a deck, and what that felt like to try to claim something for myself again. I still think a kind of super deck, with the Druid Craft tarot, would be so interesting. I was trying to achieve that, melding the two together. My mod at the time less successful, at least for my too perfectionist spirit back then. Old voices die hard. Maybe I will try again, inspired by your video today. I can't wait for your deeper dive. I am so happy to see this deck get the love it deserves. Thank you for what you do. It means a great deal. I am very grateful for your help then, and now, to light the dark. Blessings to you.
@@marinakay7141 What a very kind message for me to wake up to this morning. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this. I am so pleased to hear that you have gone from a dark time and are now safely on the other side . Much love to you now, and peace for all that you do moving forward 🙏🏼❤️
Do you have links to the tools used? Or the names? What is the round corner thingy called? And I need to find a small paper cutter. Or is it a card cutter? Idk…but want to try a deck.
