The free online concerts have been happening since 2021 as they were looking for a way to have them even with lockdowns and travel restrictions. I think they will be less common now that SMTown Live is back in a big way. They sell live streaming tickets to those. (Every one active and available performed at SMTown Live in Tokyo this year, back in Feb I think)
