    The best tutorial I've seen for the Olympus Wall so far. I used to go through it, but after they changed the surface I've been struggling to keep my grip and haven't been able to finish. Can't wait to try it again. Thank you!

      I was mad about the surface change. Why make an obstacle that 95% cannot do, including you and I who could do it before. Now all the asswipe Spartan are going to say overcome and adapt without recognition of my earlier comment so stuff your comments. The slippery surface is so slick there is almost no possibility of keeping your feet on the surface.

      @@obstacleactivist9741 YES!! And they had to put the Olympus Wall right after a long walk in wet mud, of course! OCR is all about technique and adaptation. If I had to chose between strength or technique, I would pick technique all day long.

    I did it on my knees on my first OCR. It gave me better traction but I wouldn’t do it without knee sleeves. My knees ended up getting skinned up and infected.

      @@obstacleactivist9741 Is that during your shift? You just made a rant about how spartan marshals suck, but you seem pretty proud to make self-promotional content wearing that shirt.

    • @obstacleactivist9741
      @obstacleactivist9741  5 лет назад

      I course marshaled for that exact reason...I wanted to see the entire process of how everything is handled for elite and age group. I can also say for a fact that more than half of the marshals themselves were terrible seeing that none of them had ever run elite and/or did not even know how to properly complete the obstacles. This is the problem, officials that are just in it to get the volunteer code and have a shorter shift

    • @JG-hj9og
      @JG-hj9og 5 лет назад

      @@obstacleactivist9741 There are plenty of good marshals who are not elite athletes, understand the rules, care a great deal about the integrity of the competitive waves, and do an overall fantastic job. While you may run in the competitive waves, that does not mean you understand actual officiating. Many of your statements are simply opinions dressed up as facts. Read - fake news. But we all know stirring the pot gets views and likes and clicks.

    • @obstacleactivist9741
      @obstacleactivist9741  5 лет назад

      I'm not saying there aren't good marshals, there certainly are. There are most definitely poor marshals though too, many of which whom do not care enough to do the job property or correctly. Marshals themselves aside, the officiating process as a whole can be much improved, that much is fact given the officiating woes that has lingered in many key races this year when it's still early this season. The officiating in the elite and age group waves has been a very hot topic this season, I'm simply bringing more of it to the forefront for discussion. I'm sorry if you see this as negative, but it's something that needs to be discussed if the sport wants to grow and progress in the right direction

    That plastic surface they're using now is bullshit! I did burpees afterwards and I didn't see a single person complete the obstacle in 5ish minutes. Wtf Spartan, why make a near impossible obstacle, it ruins the fun for everybody and stops people from coming back! Just use wood, cheaper and actually doable.

    • @ellpoyohlokoh
