Haley had every right to be upset with Nathan because for multiple months before this he was being neglectful towards her and her child she was practically a single mother and he treated her horribly and then this happens and most likely tipped her over the edge it was a different situation where they were good for months I’m pretty sure she should be able to trust him completely because nothing recently happened for the trust to be broken. So I think her reaction was valid. And an episode before this Haley hears Nathan out and tells him there better be nothing else and he left out the fact that he watched Carrie swim naked and that Carrie kissed him which doesn’t help Haley trust him.
No she didn't what Nathan should of done is tell Haley if she accuse of Nathan of cheating which he didn't Nathan should of put his ring on the table and left Haley and never come back
I love how Skills took up for Jamie in this episode! Didn’t try to start any fights with Haley or anything; just genuinely told her what Jamie had wanted because no one was listening to Jamie, himself, and left it at that. Didn’t try to steer her in one direction or the other, but definitely made sure that his little buddy wasn’t affected by it ❤️ Also, Haley’s always been my favorite female character, but her basically insinuating that Nathan was the same guy he was when they started was such complete and utter crap. I didn’t know if I should cry or scream.
And also (a year later 😅) I have to agree with your point about Haley. I absolutely love her, she's my favourite as well, but what she said to Nathan was crap. She didn't change Nathan in the way that she's describing. He changed because he wanted to. He changed for her, for Jamie and for himself. I don't know why she would even say that.
Geez Jamie went though some real shit.... - Watching his parents fall apart and almost divorice - Getting kidnapped by a psycho nanny - That his dad might of cheated on his mom and got someone else pregnant - watching his god mother almost die
He didn’t just get kidnapped by a psycho person he was kidnapped by that Woman twice the second time he was Chase through a cornfield why his mother was in the house knocked out The guy went through hell
I actually love this part of their conflict because they are communicating. Even if it's fighting, communication is always good. One of the things I love about this conflict is that I feel for both Nathan and Haley and feel that both of their feelings and perspectives are valid. I see some people saying that Haley should be easier on Nathan because of the Chris Keller situation but i'm so glad that Nathan didn't hold that against her. That situation was so long ago, she was a child, he forgave her, and they renewed their vows so there's reason to use that against her. In my opinion it would be very toxic if he did that. And I feel for Haley because everything she's seen has pointed to him cheating on her so she feels betrayed and then she also has Jamie saying stuff like he "hates her" or he "wants Nanny Carrie to be his mom" instead of her. My heart aches for Haley. But on the other hand, I also feel bad for Nathan. In the whole Nanny Carrie situation we saw Nathan's perspective. Sure, he may not have dealt with it in the best way but we know that he loves Haley, he doesn't want to cheat on her with Carrie, he doesn't want to jeopardize his marriage, and when it all blows up he tries to be honest and tries to work on the marriage. And my heart aches for him to because you can just feel his pain thanks to James incredible acting. In fact both Joy and James knocked this out of the park and TBH it's kinda fun to watch them fight cause they're such good actors and so good at fighting. I'm just happy this was all resolved pretty quickly.
I think its weird that Haley isn't really cutting Nathan any slack or giving him the benefit of the doubt considering Nathan has already dealt with the Kris Keller situation.
During the chris Keller situation they were teenagers...got married... dealing with life, financial situation ,in laws at 17...it's different...in this situation they are mature individuals..
Thisisholly yeah but she only kissed Chris keller Nathan slept with her sister and kissed the nanny I think honestly Haley is done with that but once again there naley there meant to be with each other Also ps. This is my opinion so no hate please
I think its more that he didn't tell her right away, so it escalated to the shower scene. Plus they had only just got back on track after the stress of his injury, drinking, losing his career etc, so I think Haley was just incredibly stressed and tired after holding it together on her own for a few years.
People saying that Haley's anger is stupid should realise that in the beginning of this season because of the injury he was an absentee parent and rude to her...she practically had to juggle working and looking after jamie thats why she got a nanny and then she realises that her husband might have cheated on her or that this little flirting game was going on and he didnt tell her also jamie liked the nanny more cause she looked after him and haley was busy working beacuse nathan was a dick....This was literally her breaking point....Imagine your beloved in a ditch and shuts you out but then is flirting with someone else....it will hurt like crap
As much as I love Haley, I think she was really stupid in this episode. So, everyone who blames Nathan, stop it. He rejected Carrie. He did not kiss her back. Thank goodness Haley finally saw sense.
Charley J what he did wrong was not telling her about the first Carrie thing... the second Carrie thing.... and she finally caught Carrie on the third. So yes Nathan did f$:k up. Hard to believe someone’s innocence when they come to you saying... “oh this happened but...” Next day “oh and this happens but again I’m innocent..” and so on and so on.
Charley J I think both were in the wrong. Haley should have trusted Nathan enough to believe him, but Nathan definitely should have explained the Carrie situation the moment the first bad thing happened. They both were equally wrong in my opinion...
I mean, with the bathroom scene I get it. I also don't think it was just about the kiss, but the fact they'd only just got back on track after his injury/drinking/stress...she had to hold the family together on her own for a few years.
Look I technically agree with everyone's points I mean yes nathan did screw up ok who hasn't on this show but what I hate about haley being so pissed off is yes he should have never let the kiss happen and he should have told her but she literally is so mean about it and nathan tried over and over again to change and be better from the first damn season that man was terrible in the first episodes like he deserves so much for how far he had come and he slept with her sister before he met her so no that doesn't count sorry guys but also she was so distracted with her own shit all the time she was hurting Jamie because she couldn't stop with her shit with nathan I literally thought she was so stupid in these episodes and it's not because she didn't deserve to be upset she just handled it all wrong with the fact she is always so willing to throw nathan away like with Chris Keller and with this like that's the father of your child you have been married since high school he jumped in front of a gun for her, punched a guy to death, payed to have Chris help her, was an amazing dad ,saved her life when she tried to kill herself told his parents off for going after her and forgave her in a matter of episodes for leaving and had just started getting better from his accident and changed again for her like she should know him by now that's what really makes her just seem so cold about this whole thing but this is just my opinion like I said I get both sides I just wished she would have considered all he had done for her through the years before freaking out so drastically yes they are older so you think she would be more mature now than she was in high school but oh well I love them and am glad they were willing to move past it all
did u watch some other version of this show? Nathan never ever came clear with his problems. Haley always told him that his problems are her problems too. He didn't come clear about Rachel trying to sleep with him, that Haley's accident was Daunte's doing bcos of his point shaving deal, his past sexual history with Taylor, being a jerk for years towards Haley and Jamie after losing basketball cos of a bar brawl, not able to be good to his son while he was in a wheelchair, picking up fights with Haley after getting drunk at home, breaking his trophies and then Haley coming to clean it all, carrying on his flirting with Carrie in the pool in front of Haley and Jamie, which made Jamie think as well that maybe his dad now likes Nanny Carrie and didn't fire the nanny himself when she kissed him, came onto him with sexual advances, which ended up Haley being the bad cop and firing the bitch nanny and Jamie hating on her. The woman was stretched to her last emotional point so of course, she would ask for a divorce and of course in some way without knowingly would keep Jamie away from her cos even she was hurting.. he never learned his lessons in first 6seasons..thnkfully got his mind in right place in 7th season ..and btw Haley and Nathan were alrdy in good place when she tried to kill herself due to depression..
Season 5 definitely wasn’t his best season. And it was dumb of him to say in the episode before that one “Carrie tell her”.

Skills is such an underrated character. He was such a good friend to the Scott family

Jamie’s little voice killed me

plus his aunt + uncle almost died and he had to see them in hospital, and he had to see his mom depressed after his grandma died
"You should buy em in bulk since you hand apologies out that often"
Ahhhhh stop!😭
They took out the best part, when haley opens the door and he says 'hey, look who it is!', haha, always cracks me up
He said that at Lucas and Lindsay's almost wedding 😂
Wrong ep. That was at Lucas and Lindsay's "wedding"
Bye not y'all getting mad at Haley 💀
