As far as I'm concerned, the "Dove: Family Approved" stamp is the Blu-Ray/DVD equivalent of the LJN logo on NES games. In the words of AVGN, it's The Unholy Stamp of Death.
Every bad animated/familiar movie puts that stamp on it: Cool Cat Saves The Kids, Kirk Cameron Saving Christmas, The Kids of Valour, The Adventures of Panda Warrior
Here's a tip to all parents buying movies for their kids: If the case has a "Dove: Family Approved" stamp on it, AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS!! Every film approved by those hacks are either god-awful kid's films, or Christian movies. Because wholesome. P.S., this is coming from a kid. So you know that it's true when a child says this.
So Norm of the North has a deleted scenes section. At least they knew to leave SOME parts to the cutting room floor, even for something as all around pointless as the movie itself.
I tried watching the scenes showed in this review without my glasses. It was all blurry. I'm guessing that's the joke. That it's such a terrible movie, it's better to watch it when you CAN'T see it.
@@ayoutubeaccount5846 no where the dead go to die is much worse but I have found a worse animated film called goat story (you might recall this from saberspark as he did review this) and not only is it the worst animated film I've ever seen in my opinion it is the worst movie I've ever seen in my entire life.
It seems that this Blu-Ray has the "This movie is just for kids and they don't care about the behind the scenes at all, all they care about is the rest of the features" which explains everything about both the movie and the Blu-Ray.
Do Assemblage and Splash not have enough money to get some test audiences or testers in order to ensure that they can tout their movie as quality? They have enough money to make Alpha and Omega sequels, but they can't afford people to look at their products first and allow them to distribute them properly?
***** If that's the case, then I'd say they're best producing TV shows. The animation quality fits (if just barely), but they most definitely need to get some new writers, as the plots in the A&O sequels and Norm are too shoddy for TV. Let's hope that something good will come out of them (A&O: The Big Fureeze won't be it)
***** Then there is very little hope for A&O unless Assemblage and Splash either switch to making a TV series about them or concede to another studio who has a sense of quality.
They were too embarassed to show us how awful the production was. And I swear, it needs to be seen to be beleived. If you could get an idea from the trailer, like I did, just imagine 90 minutes of it. It proves that Rob Schnider doesn't need Adam Sandler to be offensive. You can learn how not to make a movie from this, but take it from me; nothing will prepare you for the insanity to come.
+WillieManga It's cringy beyond all comparison. Cringier than foodfight, which actually did a few things right (and could've been good if 65 million dollars weren't thrown down the crapper). Cringier than Birdemic, which wasn't made because a greedy fucktard said it should be, but because James Nguyen wanted to make a movie. Cringier than Transformers Energ- Oh right. Transformers Energon is worse than all this shit, what with the plot made by a 3 year old fanfiction writer.
So let me get this straight. Strange Magic, a movie so bad that even Disney loathes it more than the people who saw it only gets released on DVD and no Blu-Ray, and yet a movie worse than it gets released on both discs?......I don't even know what to say to that it's so bizarre.
+Timber Humphrey While their also a bunch of money stealers who thinks that every single movie they own will always be a hit. If Disney owned Norm of the North, I would assume that they would treat it the same way as they did to Strange Magic.
***** I did not dislike this video: I was pointing out something that was true at the time I posted that comment. Because I have not seen this movie, I didn't like the video either, since I want to experience the home video release before developing an opinion on it. But either way, see you at the Academy Awards and Razzies :] (And by the way, my awesome what?)
I saw this movie recently. Awful story full of plot holes, most of the jokes were not funny at all, and there were a ton of useless characters. However, I honestly didn't find the animation to be that bad. It did seem to fluctuate in quality, though, and that's unacceptanle. Maybe I don't see it as so bad, because I watched Food Fight, which had the worst 3D animation I have ever seen.
Patrick Brough Not true. The company that made The Wild Life was Studio-canal, the company that brought us such a memorable masterpiece called Fly Me To The Moon... In the year when movies like KUNG FU PANDA and WALL E were released!
I got this on DVD yesterday cause I didn't see it in theaters and I liked it it was funny and good I enjoyed the movie Norm was funny and there were some good songs in the movie I don't see why many people hate this movie but I get that's opinion

and the bland direct to DVD visuals of alpha and omega and the idiotic useless useful characters of Mars needs moms and the useless characters that waste time such as comic relief or just there to waste time of the nut job and the annoyance tone of shark tale
It is a sick joke to think that the Alpha & Omega sequels, Mars Needs Moms, the Norm of the North franchise, The Nut Job and et cetera et cetera deserve credit.
And you forgot the cringe worthy bland bland of Paper Towns movie, the obnoxious stupid pop culture refrences, toiler humor and cartoony over the top CGI animation of the DreamWorks films (Shark Tale, Shrek 3 and 4, Bee Movie, Home, Trolls, Boss Baby), worst acting and cheap visual effects of Earth to Echo, the unpleasant stupid tone and CG of Chicken Little, worst casting an main character of Paper Towns, stupid lazy environmental message on cooperation of Bee Movie and the stupid juvenile disgusting humor and comedy and useless comic relives of Teen Titans Go.
Earth to Echo has seriously damaged me because of its camera that makes Michael Bay, Every Witch Way and etc's cameras look absolutely controlled. Fuck that movie!!!!
3:31
They should've put the entire movie in the deleted scenes.

it only made to show it's at least kid friendly (even if it's crap).
***** It supposed to be for kids, that's the only reason the logo is on these films.

That trivia prize is a perfect analogy for this movie 😎
This movie makes Chicken Little look like Toy Story

Honestly, a abysmal movie desreves an abysmal Blu-Ray.
That's what I expected!
13:52 Those prices are just as insane as Sonic '06 sales go.
It's a good thing I never seen the movie and not wasting my money for that much for a Blu-ray and dvd.
Norm of the North vs Where the Dead Go To Die.
Norm Of The North

Norm of the north is just a Madagascar rip off but failed REAAAAALY BAD
When I first saw a clip from Norm of the North, I thought it was a Penguin of Madagascar movie.
Even Lionsgate knows how bad it is so they overpriced it to scare families away from buying it. Lol
Rip for norm of the north on Netflix I remember Norm of the North being on Netflix
13:40 Norm of the Blow up
Lol.
13:48 best part LOL
Agreed
Hey! A Blades fan!
+Giga Camo hey thanks for noticing
The part at the beginning was also an LOL moment, since he had the face of the ugly seal from the movie.
Lincoln Loud I was caught off guard and when he screamed, I jumped so high in the air XD
The DVD verison has the same things that the bluray has, so the bluray is useless
Unless you want to see it in 1080p HD. If you get it on Blu-ray, you will get to see how clear and how terrible the animation really is.

I’m shocked to this day that Norm of the North was allowed to be released in theaters and getting a Blu-Ray release alone!
This movie makes the emoji movie look like toy story

Salem Jimenez What? Where the Dead Go to Die got released on Blu-ray? It didn't look like the film that would get released on Blu-ray. Did it really?
Yes it did . Watch Toon grins review on it.
0:06 WHAT THE .... HAPPENED TO YOU ANIMAT?!
That seal still scares me.
I think the whole movie should have been in the deleted scenes!
Fun fact: Did you know that Norm of the North was _ACTUALLY_ going to be a direct-to-video movie before it was released in theaters of January 2016?
The dislike was from the creators of this movie.

Anyone want to go hunt for a polar bear (aka Norm)?
Killing polar bears are illegal
Unlike other bad films like Foodfight and The Video Brinqurdo Films Norm of the North atucualy looks Okay
Well animation looks nowhere near as bad as those but it still looks pretty bad
review hotel transylvania 2 on blu ray.
Lionsgate is the new Weinstein, they made The Boring Life as well.
Patrick Brough Not true.
The company that made The Wild Life was Studio-canal, the company that brought us such a memorable masterpiece called Fly Me To The Moon...
In the year when movies like KUNG FU PANDA and WALL E were released!
But Animat said that in one of his podcasts
Patrick Brough He isn't always right...
I know everyone makes mistakes
Patrick Brough Me too.
One question though. Why do you even have that blue ray?!
theflintartist91
Because the website FilmBook sent the Blu-ray to him, and he has to review it.
And plus wouldn’t a polar bear die in New York because of the weather
How about $1.29 for this cheap movie?
People: Norm of the North is the most terrible animated feature of all time!
Foodfight: Hold my beer
are you related to mini ladd
this movie was created by a preschool that's why it has family friendly sticker
I will not sing along and dance to the Artic garage.
I think you mean "garbage", not "garage".
It's a typo, Alberto Productions.
And who the hell would even want to have anything to do with Norm of the North???
id watch it
4:25 what is it?
what about FoodFight!
tell me about it but I do think that food fight is even worse then norm of the north
yes why yes
I got this on DVD yesterday cause I didn't see it in theaters and I liked it it was funny and good I enjoyed the movie Norm was funny and there were some good songs in the movie I don't see why many people hate this movie but I get that's opinion
I have your same Opinion
Your opinion, but just know that the animation and writing aren't quite top notch (unless ypu were saying that Norm himself was funny unintentionally)
Scooby Doo Low standards
That was old me. Now, it do think it's horrible. It's boring, it's annoying, and it's unwatchable

yet, still turned out like shit

I bet that Kevin Bob and Stewart from minions could distroy those stupid unbearable lemmings.
