I umpired a few men's leagues for years. There are a lot of good pitchers stuck pitching amateur ball. In the 25+ leagues it was very rare to see fastballs under 80 and the ones who did all had a knuckleball or nasty, nasty breaking stuff. Seeing 90 was not uncommon at all. Most of them were former college and minor league pitchers who had taken their careers as far as they could.
ESPN needs to use the Momentum format for filming games. Everybody would watch MLB

I played on a "men's" league fast-pitch softball team back in the 80's. However, our entire team was 8th and 9th graders.
We didn't win a game for 3 seasons. We had a few athletes but most of us were just farm kids.

No shit, he was a career minor leaguer and indy ball player and now he's 35 lol. He's a better ball player than most, but he's not making a run at the big leagues now or at any point in the future (he's also never been a particularly good hitter, he stuck around in the minors because of his defense at catcher)

There are regional men's leagues everywhere, and then there are traveling teams who compete in regional tournaments. Definitely, the traveling teams are made up of a higher level of players. X pros, college and high school players. Or players with a lot of experience and sufficient talent. But there definitely are some good men's league players and teams out there, too. Somewhere between a high school and junior college level team. Baseball is baseball. Anyone can play with some level of passion and dedication and be good.
