for people wondering what happened. The final cannons were at the US pavilion this year vs the center of world showcase lagoon. hence why the fire works were covered by smoke. IDK why they decided to do this but I'm assuming the cannons for the finale didn't fit with the center barges, but they made it work 2 years back with Harmonious? Horrible decision!
Okay so the show was still there, I was surprised they used the Luminous outer barges for the fireworks rather than inputting another set of barges like in the new years. It was still a fantastic night but there was a big problem, not just to the show but the audience near the the US Pvailion is covered by smoke which isn't good as it can cause breathing issues and such more to people watching in that area, second of all they should not do Luminous if it's a really dry weather with no winds, as Luminous has some newly added since its debut which causes more smoke, and should instead make way for the Heartbeat of freedom pyro and stuff. Over all at least it still happened and hope for this to never happen again next year
I was annoyed by the smoke when I was there, but I could still see a good portion of America from the front of Refreshment Port and WOW that was awesome.
We made a lucky decision to watch it from the American Pavilion cause we saw all the best parts. It was so loud you could feel your whole body vibrate. Sad about the people over the other side who only saw smoke,
That was underwhelming they cut half of their firework slack but last year was a tremendous one since all of the center barges were launched off all at once!🇺🇲🎆
Last night was awful the smoke concentrate over the world Showcase lagoon, basically no wind to clean the view, I checked my video last year and was so clear.
@@DrAngelKinsIt looks like there was no wind last night so the smoke just stayed in the lagoon. It was the same amount of fireworks but they did the grand finale over the American adventure instead of in the lagoon.
@@starship824I can confirm. I was there last night and the storm that passed us about an hour or two before the fireworks just left the entire area really muggy so I imagined the smoke wouldn’t dissipate as quickly as we all would’ve hoped 😞
@@starship824 I think by moving the portion of grand finale to American Adventure, the show becomes more thematically appropriate, due to that the 4th of July independence is almost exclusively American public holiday that no other parts in the world celebrating. The problem is they still played Luminous during 4th of July (especially on non-windy nights), so the smoke still intact even after show's end. So, i want to suggest Epcot to suspend the regular firework shows during the special events such as 4th of July, in order to make the show more like its own right and to minimize the impact of smoke during humidity events.
This year wasn’t as good as previous years. Especially the finale. Usually they launch a crap ton of fireworks from the barges in the center of the lagoon, but instead this year the finale fireworks were all launched from a top the America pavilion. In years past the American pavilion does launch fireworks from the top, but the ending is usually always in the middle and crazy big.
@@bretthoudek5408 It really wasn't. It was great, but this show brings all the threads together in a better way and creates the personal investment in the Epcot vision. Watch it from the south side of the Lagoon and see the fantastic place where Spaceship Earth comes alive. The float, the fountains, the launcher at the finale. People only think Illuminations was better due to nostalgia. This show is tighter, better timed, and flows better.
However, on the positive note, we could hear the full music finale slightly better than in previous years. When the fireworks finale was in the lagoon, we couldn't hear the very finale chorus part.
Maybe Disney will actually listen. Barges bad. Illuminations good. Better music, better message for Epcot, better everything. Stop delivering crap from people who don’t understand Disney. What a disappointment (and yes we all know there was no wind to help) Get it together guys. 🙄
Go look harmonious july 4th. Probably the best they've done with the projections. This has nothing to do with the barges. The canons for the finale fireworks were at the US pavillion this time. Which was an odd decision.

I think it worked for the recent NYE tag as well if I’m not mistaken
illuminations actually put some fireworks and 4Th of July fireworks it’s definitely iconic and epic

I was there it was really hot and crowded and you obviously couldn’t see the fireworks at the end so glad we didn’t stay this year.

Disney IP did put some Epcot Nighttime Shows that includes Harmonious and Luminous
illuminations has millions views and Luminous has millions views
That Makes Epcot Nighttime Shows Unites around us and that is Luminous the symphony of us
Happy Independence day, WDW News Today. 🇺🇲🎆🎇✨🧨💥
The Panel did not mention of illuminations 4TH of July fireworks in their Show
That brought many memories We actually got 4TH of July fireworks to
illuminations
Epcot Forever
Harmonious
Luminous the symphony of us
Love that they use Liberty Fanfare for the 4th fireworks

I was there they didn't cut the fireworks they moved them all behind the American Adventure pavilion, it was odd for sure but still huge
Ah that’s why u couldn’t see them at the end.
Better view of them
Awww. I was watching from the ResortTV1 angle, it was still beautiful.
Those in Showcase Plaza had a very smoky disadvantage.
I have to laugh at the giant cloud of smoke totally blocking the fireworks view
It only affects some areas but the other half you can see the fireworks clearly.
Don't like how they switched the finale on us. the center was gold... sigh
Yea that was a very big bummer it just didn’t have the same effect
so amazing epcot luminous with heartbeat of freedom on independence day on fourth of july 2024 !!!!
You're right. That is a great title for the video.

I am able to confirm that the fireworks were reduced due to its smoke level...
