- Took a nice little trip over to Yorktown , Va . Found out the waters were hot with fish . Ended up catching my favorite Speckle Trout but it was under size . Overall it was a hot good day . Sorry for the sweat I drunk a lot of water . I also put a link to Fish bites and the circle hooks I used .

yeah at the end of the pier dont cast towards teh left side or strait out you will get snagged 9/10 times. i uslay go half way on the pier and throw lures near the rock jettys and catch specks nice video
I'm new to the Newport News area and didn't know about that pier. I'll definitely have to go check it out. You caught more decent fish in this video than I've seen caught at most of the local places I've tried.

Let me tell you about fishing that pier in a spring storm....
october is a good time to get redfish and large speckled trout at that pier. i usually go there in the morning and then move to james town ( colonial parkway) after to try to get big striped bass.

A Roundhead is known as a Northern Kingfish. It's common in the area. Good eating!
