As a competitive racer going through this year was ROUGH. My main problems are how the front is not pointy enough compared to real life (especially in slow speed), the traction being god awful inducing wheelspin in FIFTH GEAR IN A STRAIGHT. I just really hope Traction is overall improved as well as the front then it would feel amazing.
@@Theadrianator It is yeah, sometimes out of corners I get traction in 4th then gear up to 5th and then lose the rear... You work around it, sure, but if the game wasn't bad I'd be 3 tenths quicker
Lmao seriously getting random snap oversteer in 5th with the wheel pointed perfectly straight😂😂 my biggest issue costing me time is that I cannot consistently trust the car putting the power down
At start I thought I'm losing my mind. Played hundrets of hours in the prvs. titles and was pretty ok with controller. Won games against my friends and AI at lvl 85. Playing F1 22 made me think, that I'm the worst player in the world, bc I just couldnt handle the fucking cars at good lap times. Glad to see, that wasnt only me :D
As a console (and controller) player this game is the worst. During F1 20 and 21 I was getting better and better and began to turn off more and more assists. Due to this game i’m back where i started… I especially hate the fact that I have to use full TC again now… it’s so painful and it feels so slow.
Man even with the clubsport pedal set from Fanatec, even the slightest miss in throttle input means you lose traction. Wheelspin on 5th gear when you already completed the turn is unreal…
I had to take off my headphone in the pit stops because I couldn't bear it anymore, which is also not ideal when you're driving through sound queues. You just lose the feel for the car, absolutely unplayable.
What‘s was also really disappointing about this game was the lack of post release content. They brought back Portimao from last year’s game but that was basically it. Pretty sad if you ask me...
Expect they never said anything about it being a live service game. Live service means additional content is added in overtime & one and done games like this, that's about it
The worst part about the traction is, that it isn't even realistic. There is a side by side video about it on RUclips, where you can see the guy spinning out in 4th gear at around 140kph on full throttle while Leclerc is in 2nd gear at 140kph on full throttle and gets perfect traction. For me as someone who puts emphasis on how realistic a game is and who plays wirh no assist this game is unplayable
Can't wait to be super disappointed by F1 23 and Codemasters once again! I really have no hope left for F1 23 as it will surely be on the same game-engine as F1 22 based on the Alfa Romeo car being ported so easily in to F1 22. So there will probably be no new updates on the basic features of Formula 1 (as in red flags, realistic safety cars, driveable pit-lanes etc.) and most likely the same old bugs will continue to be there. I'm just waiting and praying that F1 24 will actually be a good game. If not, well.... I hope we get some new race sims. (Assetto Corsa 2 should be good at least when it comes out, when ever that is)
As the founder of a league and of what turned out to be the creator series i can tell you that managing the league through this year is still pain to this day. People cannot join lobbies, they get dropped, a new glitch seems to happen every week, massive delays, race restarts , you name it. I honestly have a huge respect to those who went through the ache of racing still. At one point we couldn't get more than 8 people in for a race. It's all good now but it was a disaster all year round.
I’ve noticed that the cars on the straights aren’t particularly faster than you I have a maxed out power unit on career mode and it seems as though the AI are just able to put the power down much sooner than the player because they take off flying straight out of the corner but by the end of the straight I’m able to overtake the AI
I still get the sound glitch occasionally now medium TC felt pretty fine, but the one thing I have to say is when I switched to PC I couldn't use my wheel for ab a month or so and it meant when I got back I had to use full TC because I was now awful Very well made video, but you forgot to mention that they added crossplay. Best edition to F1 in years, can't imagine how boring it would be if I couldn't race sneaky or votingweb or whoever
Agree with you on the crossplay part! It definitely allows racing with friends and also expanding leagues, generally a good addition that I totally forgot about
I started learning how to drive without traction control in the last few stages of f1 2021(around mid-may) , I felt I was making great progress and it really motivated me to become faster and more competitive, as soon as I got to f1 22 I hit a THICK brick wall head on, I hopped onto a grand prix and later on time trial and turned the traction to off, since I was driving like that in f1 2021, I found out that even though there was no more Mazepin, I had come to replace him! I just drove league races and careers with TC on full, while I was doing good, I felt I was highly limited. Is this just my skill issue or has anyone else felt that getting your head around TC is way harder? I know lots of people who drive without and I have no clue what their secret is, so if you can fully drive without TC, please offer me some tips, I just hope that TC might be changed in a better way for F1 23, yet I highly doubt it...
Nah I drive without TC and when i first got 22 it was a STEEP learning curve from 21 and even now it still is hard to control the car in slow speed corners when accelerating and even in medium speed corners in 5 or 6th gear. The tips i would give is to make sure you hve a setup which suits you if you dont know how to make one just copy one from about 10th in the leaderboard and change it to your liking. I for example mostly changed the ride height tire pressures and chamber i think in order to improve traction but its still hard to control the car in those corners so i think its just an overall problem with the game.
can tell you its not a skill issue, i have been driving f1 since 2016 and im actually very very good at it, the first time i turned TC off was in f1 2019 if im correct, it was all going well until f1 22 where i had to put TC on medium cuz of the fact that you would get a wheelspin in 5th gear on a straight, but i got used to it and after 2 months mayve i was back on no TC, i also had to turn down the A.I all the way to 85 percent because the A.I was so op. But ofc everyone improves and im now driving at 100 A.I
Only positive things this year is that the base game liveries for myteam looked nice, and that the game encouraged me to a 2019-? Career. Just going through the games per season
Out of all the frustrating things in this game, the one that got me the most is how sluggish the cars feel to steer using controller - Most other driving games let you use raw input, but F1 22 had me taking out my diary to plan when to turn for the next corner, and trying to nail the chicanes at Monza or Montreal is beyond painful. I can forgive the bugs and overtuned AI, but when the actual driving experience feels bad it just kills it for me. In truth, I have a feeling the devs knew how difficult it would be to drive without assists, and added a filter/ramp to the steering inputs to stop people spinning off as much, but if you're playing without assists you're already signing up for a challenge so it just doesn't work well imo.
As someone with little free time and that just really plays for the 2 player career mode and the odd solo career mode if I feel like it, I genuinely enjoyed this game, I used to play the other games a lot more and can fully understand what people are complaining about, I preordered the last few including 22, which was filled with bugs, but me and my buddy on our Logitech g920s are having tonnes of fun on this game, we’ve found the new cars and improved AI enjoyable for wheel to wheel racing and have tight championship battles. All in all it’s not a bad game and I think it will bring new people not only to the games, but to the sport, which is only a good thing. I can’t wait to see what they do next, I think with some improvements the super cars could be fun. If they put in effort it’s only up from here, I can’t wait
Medium traction definitely feels the most realistic (still, not the same as a proper tire model). You can just compare with real onboards or proper games like AC, iRacing etc. Someone at codemasters mixed-up the rubber friction coefficient with that of soap
I agree, F1 22 isn't the best game, but it's still playable. I personally only play career and have nothing to complain about. There are still flaws that could be worked out, so I hope they fix them in F1 23. Anyway, very good video, I like it.
Career mode wise I hate when they do the reg change, usually 1st season for me no clue if it’s the same for everyone, but you negate the reg changes with your resource points…. If you change team, at the end of the season, they haven’t done any at all and you don’t have enough points to do it all again so now your starting next season already behind, and usually behind the team you just left as you negated the reg changes…
Yeah career mode seems to be where I find the enjoyment in the gameayb sometimes in online but rarely same with co op its really fun but the bugs and glitches ruin the fun
@@henningjr7 Don’t know the context so il kinda ramble for a sec…… If your playing My Team….. You can’t. If your playing Driver Career then you just need to wait till either midway point of the season or end of the season….. It should give you a choice/prompt when to do so
You didn't mention two player which is just way too buggy. Things me and my friend have experienced in 30 ish races the player not hosting the career having no hards in the race, meaning that they will get disqualified not matter what they do as hards are usually a mandatory tyre the grid order changing under broadcast safety car and random cars jumping up and down the order my friend being accliam lvl 4, not getting accepted by any team, then getting put in a ferrari ( season 1-2 transfer ) the game skipping a race for one driver, while the other is stuck in the race weekednd workstation area, softlocking the game both players getting put into spectator mode at the start of quali ( happended only at one race and never happened again even though no settings or patch was changed / added ) sometimes when you take grids you dont recieve a penalty and other times it just doesnt give you new components even if you intended to take them extension of num1: ai not getting disqualified for not using mandatory tire compounds if both players retire before the ai's start thier final lap and finally ai setting unrealistic lap times if both cars retire from a qualifing session, with the best example being alonso setting a pole time of 1.03.475 at mexico (season 1) the games a mess, i like it, and it's missing many features but its an absolute joke that some people payed 60 pounds for it ( i got tit through gamepass )
The dreaded sound glitch is even worse on last gen consoles. Whenever I get it (and I get it a lot) it basically cuts in and out in a consistent pattern. It makes the game almost unplayable
weirdly enough I experienced that exact same sound glitch much more ogten on the 2021 game, but that is probably because I didn't really play the 22 game nearly as much because of all of the other reasons. Can confirm no TC felt awful, but no ABS was fine
Another horrible bug was the vibration issue on pad (for PC players at least). Your car would be going sideways on the road and there'd be no feedback whatsoever. It was even worse in wet conditions, almost unplayable without assists. I used to destroy wheel drivers back in F1 2021 in wet conditions in my league, but F1 22 onwards it's like I'm an AI driver with 69 difficulty. They've mostly fixed the problem but it still persists in wet conditions, although not to the extent it was during release.
I’ve been using a wheel for about 4 months now and pretty much gave up on no traction control. Medium works fine for me. It’s frustrating cause I can drive with no TC In the other games
Do u experience ai speeding in the pit stop? I pit directly behind ai in first, when i slow to 50 the ai in front if me speeds away to it’s pit stop and comes out at least 7 seconds ahead of me despite a perfect pit stop. Do u have any experience with that? I noticed that despite perfect pit stops i come out impossibly behind. Seems the ai has no speed limit in the pit lane or something. Couldnt find anything about it online.
I’ve played in total across F1 2020-2022 thousands of hours and I have enjoyed 2022 the most. I prefer the understeer and I have mastered handling the traction. In the mid to high speed corners I feel there is more grip than ever, because of the ground effect. This is most noticeable in sector 1 of COTA and Suzuka. Perhaps this is just because over time I’ve gotten better at the game, as 2020 was my first F1 game, but I still hold to 2022 being my favorite handling model.
Really? I feel like this game made the ground effect a gimmick. You spin even in high speed corner like the parabolica and spain T2. I guess that's just your driving style. Good for you.
I'm glad I was not the only one who struggled with traction control, I'm not a super sim driver but I never had so much trouble with TC off in any other game
Im no expert by any means, but i felt the stering in this game was just aweful, for exmaple especially on controller the wheel wouldnt free flow from left to right instead it would feel like a magnet was always pushing you back to the centre it would be Left - Centre for a second - right
no abs is so stupidly hard in the game (atleast on controller), like i could handle it in f1 2021 but when i played f1 22 i locked up every corner so i have to play with abs on
I can't learn no tc because I keep spinning so I use medium and it's fine, but after 300 hours I've still not gotten a clean start somehow. I've ended up installing gripmods (OFFLINE ONLY!!!) and that helps atleast.
Happy to hear that you're only doing offline, although I still dont recommend it... I agree that this game has been tough to learn, but I managed, and so can you, stay strong and good luck in the future!
@@AlexFrush yeah I've never tried online because of all the aids on there, just driving the traction is fine though just the start that feels impossible lol.
Does anyone else’s game just refuse to save sometimes? I do an hour long race and i lose it all cos it wont save. Its made career unplayable and i cant find anyone else with the problem. I play on xbox series s
we are all just fedup with the same game every year and charging insanely high price for it. The graphics have remained the exact same for multiple years, mainly due to being on the same game engine, but still. They still cant match the correct sounds for the cars, interior and exterior. you can literally get assetto corsa for £3 and then get f1 2023 mods with better handling and physics/realism aswell as having the ability to race on any track possible and more accuracy than the current game. They need to change. If they don't, i will not be buying this years game. Its so funny since every year we hope and comment of how this years game might be different but they dissapoint every single time. i don't suspect this year will be any different unfortunately
After September(when I played last the game), I decided to give second chance to the game. Well, now I am going back to F1 2021. Still can’t play multiplayer normally, the Baku glitched wall is still here and the freezing was back again
ngl, me and my friends are noobs in F1, so in F1 2021, we were using full traction control and still had a fair amount of challenge (using gamepads), you could still spin in slow or odd corners. However, in F1 '22, full traction control is a bad joke, is basically impossible to spin the car and you can really see and feel how the car is throtteling down in MOST corners. So we went ahead and started using half traction control only to realise it's basically impossible using gamepads. Only way we could make this work is setting Throttle Linearity to 50+ and it still feels weird sometimes but it's workable. They hit a weird (non)balance regarding TC in my noobish opinion
I just played a single-player career mode grand prix at canada, and witnessed AI cars ghosting through each other instead of making contact. And then I turned in to a ghost as an AI car was running in to the back of me. And there is no option to turn ghosting off in single player. IN A SINGLE PLAYER MODE, THERE IS GHOSTING. WHY IS THERE GHOSTING IN A SINGLE-PLAYER CAREER MODE THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE IMMERSIVE!?
Unfortunately I have pretty much no choice but to keep buying these games. Because I'm a league racer. We're all extremely dedicated to the game. Don't get me wrong, it's a good game fundamentally overall. But it has a lot of issues. I'm hoping 23 is a big improvement.
@@atkiinnacat not really & EA won't ruined F1 & you know it. If Ian Bell and SMS was behind F1, then they would've killed the series for a big while just like they killed off projects cars
true, i did in fact do so, but I have a very powerful pc so wasnt expecting that issue, its also unfair to old gen consoles and newer consoles that cant change it
@@AlexFrush true but it doesnt happen on console because it’s dialled in properly there. And as for having a good PC, the game engine doesn’t really scale well with more cores necessarily. Faster single core performance is important and even then, it’s poorly optimised as well
F1 22 is the first EA backed game, and was an incredible let down.. Its the first of a new era, and the handling was not adapted all that well compared to what we see in rl (keep in mind its still a sim-arcade). The priorities with F1 Life was so wrong. The crossplay added feature was a good choice however. Now they can only move forwards. Improve the new handling, the sound further, fix the sound issue on PC (I had to uninstall sound devices on my drivers list etc to fix stuttering which is not an issue in any other franchise so probably a game engine issue), and bring the new Braking point story back (which is confirmed). But perhaps a netflix style adaptation. The series has brought in many fans to F1, I think it will work well. Realism may slightly be lost, but dramatic racing gameplay like in NFS shift series for example, with helmet visor cams for non VR players, would be epic!
For someone who plays with full traction control on 80 difficulty on both PS5 and XBox 1, I can comfortably say that I love F1 22. I am four seasons into my own team, and on my third as just a driver and I've never had the issues he talks about. Granted I never play online, and one time a bug caused me to lose progress over about 4 races in a season (but I didn't actually end up minding cause I re-did them better anyways 😂). It's by no means a perfect game - F1 life is the worst feature I've ever seen - but I think it's probably better than the previous entries, probably down to my next favourite F1 2015/14
The traction control felt a bit sketch in terms of traction. Limited traction control felt like heavy rain and having it off is like slick tires on ice
If you have played any other sim game (e.g AC or iracing etc) then you will know driving with no traction on f1 22 is tons easier. Honestly its just getting harder because its leaving the 'arcade' style of sim and turning into a real sim.
yeah true ive tried iracing, it was really damn hard haha.. you're right but yk even when the pros are struggling it seems wrong, it was a step for sure, but maybe, just maybe a bit too big of a change.
along with all of that i also mind the track limits in like time trial. maybe its not an f122 specific issue but theyre unrealistic. also curbs on certain tracks are a propper piss take. f1 2020 was cracked and since then its been downhill. but great vid alex.
Medium traction control in my experience was usually better, it didnt spin out like you were driving on ice but you can still spin if you drive carelessly its not great but its better than no TC
Medium traction control for me was unplayable as a controller play so I had to use full traction control even though previous games I use medium traction control
@AlexFrush it is harder than using a controller. I did has a steering wheel for the old f1 games but I stopped working. Controller players should have an upgrade and paying for a descent wheel is worth it
I'm still skeptical about what to do, right now F1 22 is on a huge sale on Steam, and that's why I'm looking for reviews, and the majority are very critical, I know is up to me whether buy it or not, but I just want to have a good time racing, I'm not aiming to be competitive. so, is it worth getting it up to this point?
Few things I’d add is that they somewhat hyped up having “new dlc” tracks into the game as post launch content which ended up being 2 tracks recycled from last years game that should have been in the game at launch. China even being in the game trailer. These tracks weren’t added to MyTeam until a few months down the line after launch. Still plagued with online disconnects and lobby issues that i cba to go into detail on because id be here all day. 2 player career is very buggy too. Spa is horrendous compared to GT7’s or ACC’s version, same for Canada, Mexico and more, desperately needs updating. Tyres can’t handle the downforce from fully upgraded career cars. There are more issues but oh well. Good vid and some good points. Also it’s interesting to see that my playtime on this game is massively down on 2021, 2020 and 2019, only just completed 1 full season of MyTeam says a lot when i was doing like nearly 6 seasons in previous games
Im gonna be serious here. I dont play f1 22 to compete with others, I just wanna have fun. The fact that its an unrealistic game isnt bad for me since I can still play ac, iracing etc. I just always felt like its more of a game in which you should relax and have fun whilst racing your favorite car. Although a lovely video anyways
The last game I had was F1 2020 before F1 22, and I was competitive between 70-80 AI using a controller on PC, no car assists, cockpit view, with FOV properly calculated. With this game I I had to knock down the AI to 50 just to play with no car assists. It's like every car suffers from severe understeer at corner entry and snap oversteer at corner exit once you apply the power. The starts are impossible to nail. The best you can do is maintain your position. You can never make up one or two car places at the start. The game is just not as enjoyable as 2020, which is probably the best Codies F1 game ever.
Keep in mind that codies have said that they are moving away from 'arcade' style of sim. so f1 23 will probably be harder. Of course if you have played AC, iracing or any other sim you would know that the traction on f1 22 is exponentially easier. I played on 85 AI on f1 2021 and f1 2020 and I now play 90 on f1 22 with no assist. I think it's just about adapting to new models
My experience with this game: I play F1 2020 at 75 difficulty with no assists, no problem at all. This game i get kicked in the balls and keeping loosing the rear every single fuckin corner FOR NO REASON
In F1 2020, my reason for keeping at difficulty 75 is because i have a hard time getting to the throttle in the end of some turns without losing some tenths and how you mud absolutelly master the use of overtake button. That's all on me, i have to get better. But, it doesnt help the fact that the AI NEVER makes mistaked and are virtually indestructible while you are made of paper. In defense of F1 2021 / 2022 the AI make mistakes and take some damage when they goof. Meanwhile in F1 2020 you can frequently see like 3 to 4 cars following each other closely and perfectly breaking and back on throttle, no mistake no grip issues, no tyre degradation. Basically gods on track. So, my conclusion is: Despite the problems with F1 2022, i still prefer it due to the AI behaving more realistic on track (SOMETIMES)
Me: F1 2015 180 Hrs F1 2016 146 Hrs F1 2017 584 Hrs F1 2018 508 Hrs F1 2019 1402 Hrs F1 2020 876 Hrs F1 2021 656 Hrs F1 2022 113 Hrs The Newest Game made me quit League Racing all Together
There also safety car bug... If you go to the.... i forgot what was it called... a new view when safety car Sometimes the AI or even your 'auto' car overtook the safety car and then get DSQ lol The worse thing if you pitted under safety car while that view is in play Once i was 3rd but my time gap to the 2nd car is more than 1 minutes Dont even know how that happened... I finished in 3rd, but count as last So yeah, i never touched it again lol... Only watching streamers for fun but not playing it again
Well as a med tc user who used no tc in f1 2021 but f1 22 the traction was too difficult and abs off is also very difficult and the starts are quite hard and the bugs are do bad co op is literally unplayable after almost a year of its release itd worse than what it was in f1 2021
Also the AI are way too aggressive and the online ai are an absolute mess they spin you out push you off and het stuck on your rear I hope f1 23 can be just abit better
I REALLY hope that EA focuses on physics, bugs, and realism, and doesn't go down the path of making a quick buck with re-skinned games full of micro-transactions. We know their track record, praying they don't ruin this game like the many others they have. Edit: I also hope they add a little more variety with the AI. Like giving them understeer and little snaps of oversteer like we get. They literally go full throttle in 2nd gear out of a slow speed corner while we have to feather the throttle and short shift like crazy to not spin. That was the reason it seemed like the AI had more straight line speed on release. It was the crazy traction they got out of corners which subsequently gave them more top speed down the straights. They have soooo many issues they need to look into. Especially before they start focusing on utterly stupid features like F1 life.
Codemasters is going to be shutdown by ea, im calling it now. So many people said i was stupid for thinking ea was gonna turn f1 into madden or fifa wth buggy bullshit and predatory microtransactions. Some of those same people want ea to make a nascar game and after this game, i dont want them
codemasters and ea need to get their priorities straight. take the budget from the development of f1 life and put it into the handling and in terms of making additional revenue they should try and get licenses to add former f1 circuits as paid dlc (e.g hockenheim, nürburgring, magny-cours or sepang
The traction was trash and the track grip was nonexistent. I’m not Jarno by any means at all, but I consider myself to be pretty good. I hardly got comfortable with it. My teammate in my series got nerfed by it. I won the title but only because I spent the most time trying to get used to it
Crazy growth these past few days, thank you all.
Medium TC felt normal but now I play without TC since 4 months and it’s so much harder especially at race starts. It’s just impossible to start against the AI even after practicing it.

What‘s was also really disappointing about this game was the lack of post release content. They brought back Portimao from last year’s game but that was basically it. Pretty sad if you ask me...
Expect they never said anything about it being a live service game. Live service means additional content is added in overtime & one and done games like this, that's about it
Fair, but we’ve always had a somewhat steady stream of additions every game, atleast more frequent bug patches
The worst part about the traction is, that it isn't even realistic. There is a side by side video about it on RUclips, where you can see the guy spinning out in 4th gear at around 140kph on full throttle while Leclerc is in 2nd gear at 140kph on full throttle and gets perfect traction. For me as someone who puts emphasis on how realistic a game is and who plays wirh no assist this game is unplayable
rough times, but it should get better.... hopefully...
You do know that F1 22 and the entire F1 series isn't a sim racing series?
It's a simcade game. It's not supposed to be realistic
@@ICR_Frizzstroyer so why is it harder to control the car than proper sims?
@@rayhib because it's not a sim racing game.
You're driving the car like it is a simulator which makes you slower.
(Assetto Corsa 2 should be good at least when it comes out, when ever that is)
you are probably spot on with 24, because 23 will still be released for last gen consoles.
Reading back these comments for fun beacuse this is one of my best videos lol, saw this one, what are the requirements to join your creator series? :)
The only thing that I hate about F1 22 is that Jeff is not there.
I’ve noticed that the cars on the straights aren’t particularly faster than you I have a maxed out power unit on career mode and it seems as though the AI are just able to put the power down much sooner than the player because they take off flying straight out of the corner but by the end of the straight I’m able to overtake the AI
I still get the sound glitch occasionally now
medium TC felt pretty fine, but the one thing I have to say is when I switched to PC I couldn't use my wheel for ab a month or so and it meant when I got back I had to use full TC because I was now awful
Very well made video, but you forgot to mention that they added crossplay. Best edition to F1 in years, can't imagine how boring it would be if I couldn't race sneaky or votingweb or whoever
Agree with you on the crossplay part! It definitely allows racing with friends and also expanding leagues, generally a good addition that I totally forgot about
hi noomycorn
@@dylanf1 hello
Haven't seen you in a while
@Noomycorn how's life lol i havent posted in like 7 months since my gcses
Huh, why do your names seem familiar?
F1 22 was my first f1 game and tbh I love it.
It’s a ok game it used to better but yh lol it’s was ok
Even Lando norris said its harder than real life without TC on
Nah I drive without TC and when i first got 22 it was a STEEP learning curve from 21 and even now it still is hard to control the car in slow speed corners when accelerating and even in medium speed corners in 5 or 6th gear.
@@Tonka1507 Thanks a lot
can tell you its not a skill issue, i have been driving f1 since 2016 and im actually very very good at it, the first time i turned TC off was in f1 2019 if im correct, it was all going well until f1 22 where i had to put TC on medium cuz of the fact that you would get a wheelspin in 5th gear on a straight, but i got used to it and after 2 months mayve i was back on no TC, i also had to turn down the A.I all the way to 85 percent because the A.I was so op. But ofc everyone improves and im now driving at 100 A.I
Props for the visuals to make the video
If youre talking about the cinematics its not made by me, credit is in the bio
I hate it 2022 from the start, 2020 is still my favorite but 2021 was pretty decent
Only positive things this year is that the base game liveries for myteam looked nice, and that the game encouraged me to a 2019-? Career. Just going through the games per season
Brilliant vid mate, keep up the good work.
The save glitch. I did 8 my team races 1 day and it didnt save it and I had to do it again
F1 22 was just a spinning simulator.
Yeah f1 is still playable, and actually I love making content on it :)
Thanks for your kind words too, appreciate it.
@@alexturner7127 hey bro. How do I negotiate a contract with a different team?
@@henningjr7 Don’t know the context so il kinda ramble for a sec……
If your playing My Team….. You can’t.
If your playing Driver Career then you just need to wait till either midway point of the season or end of the season….. It should give you a choice/prompt when to do so
You didn't mention two player which is just way too buggy. Things me and my friend have experienced in 30 ish races
the player not hosting the career having no hards in the race, meaning that they will get disqualified not matter what they do as hards are usually a mandatory tyre
the grid order changing under broadcast safety car and random cars jumping up and down the order
my friend being accliam lvl 4, not getting accepted by any team, then getting put in a ferrari ( season 1-2 transfer )
the game skipping a race for one driver, while the other is stuck in the race weekednd workstation area, softlocking the game
both players getting put into spectator mode at the start of quali ( happended only at one race and never happened again even though no settings or patch was changed / added )
sometimes when you take grids you dont recieve a penalty and other times it just doesnt give you new components even if you intended to take them
extension of num1: ai not getting disqualified for not using mandatory tire compounds if both players retire before the ai's start thier final lap
and finally ai setting unrealistic lap times if both cars retire from a qualifing session, with the best example being alonso setting a pole time of 1.03.475 at mexico (season 1)
the games a mess, i like it, and it's missing many features but its an absolute joke that some people payed 60 pounds for it ( i got tit through gamepass )
I get this glitch sometimes where the lighting break and I can see is bright white, black and green across the screen which is unplayable
The dreaded sound glitch is even worse on last gen consoles. Whenever I get it (and I get it a lot) it basically cuts in and out in a consistent pattern. It makes the game almost unplayable
Dude i always though the sound glitch was a problem on my end 😭
You have such a small channel for something so well produced, hope you make it big.
Haha thank you, we’ll get there one day
I ran medium tc but it felt like I was running no tc in a 98t on assetto corsa. The only difference is that I couldn’t catch the slide.
on controller with full TC its fun. And you can be fast that way as well.
Well if this isn't EA ruining another game again.
weirdly enough I experienced that exact same sound glitch much more ogten on the 2021 game, but that is probably because I didn't really play the 22 game nearly as much because of all of the other reasons. Can confirm no TC felt awful, but no ABS was fine
Agree :)
I love no TC. I'm rapid with it.
Just stop thinking you have lots of traction like in F1 2021
@@ICR_Frizzstroyer Me too mate, it was tough in the beginning, but im actually doing very well now
@@ICR_Frizzstroyer yeah it is still much faster than medium TC but unrealistic imo. for me it makes kerb riding more inconsistent
2:44 but that happened ever since 2015, you had to change the audio setting on your computer's system
As a casual player of the game, I felt it was fine after the first couple of months. It's not supposed to be a full on simulation
To be honest, I found it easier to get better starts in F1 22 than it was for me in the previous games
Wish they just updated F1 22 for 23 instead of charging us another 60+ bucks for the same game
With medium traction control I had to switch back to full 😭😭
no tcs was super easy for me. slippery at some points but it felt okay to me
Ai also crazy when u overtake them they would just kill you.
I’m a league racer too, and that’s only what I really enjoy about f1 games late in the year. F1 23 should be better…
@@AlexFrush 2 letters: E and A
You could get a different job?
@@atkiinnacat not really & EA won't ruined F1 & you know it. If Ian Bell and SMS was behind F1, then they would've killed the series for a big while just like they killed off projects cars
The sound thing wasn’t a glitch. Turn down your audio simulation quality and it went away. It happened because of too high CPU usage.
true, i did in fact do so, but I have a very powerful pc so wasnt expecting that issue, its also unfair to old gen consoles and newer consoles that cant change it
@@AlexFrush true but it doesnt happen on console because it’s dialled in properly there. And as for having a good PC, the game engine doesn’t really scale well with more cores necessarily. Faster single core performance is important and even then, it’s poorly optimised as well
@@AryanPuthran if you read some other comments here you’ll see that in fact, console players had this issue the most
F1 22 is the first EA backed game, and was an incredible let down..
I actually managed to league race for 2 months with that sound glitch, but my sound was ab 10 times worse than your example because I'm on old gen 😂
oh my days xD
It keeps crashing when i reach Japan.
i used to play no tc on f1 2021, when i bought the game it was so unplayable
@@AlexFrush yeah it’s drastic but I still enjoy it lol
along with all of that i also mind the track limits in like time trial. maybe its not an f122 specific issue but theyre unrealistic. also curbs on certain tracks are a propper piss take. f1 2020 was cracked and since then its been downhill. but great vid alex.
My team 2020 😂❤
I can't seem to brake and turn at the same time? Anyone else experiencing this
im personally not, are you locking up maybe lol? otherwise something is wrong
Medium traction control in my experience was usually better, it didnt spin out like you were driving on ice but you can still spin if you drive carelessly its not great but its better than no TC
Medium traction control for me was unplayable as a controller play so I had to use full traction control even though previous games I use medium traction control
Ah forgot to mention that in the video, I heard using controller got 50x harder haha...
@AlexFrush it is harder than using a controller. I did has a steering wheel for the old f1 games but I stopped working. Controller players should have an upgrade and paying for a descent wheel is worth it
@@alfgaming1 my wheel worked perfectly fine, but im privilaged to have a very good wheel tho... so that might be why.
@AlexFrush yh. I am saving up to upgrade my pc, get a new steering wheel, a joystick and Microsoft flight simulator

I'm still skeptical about what to do, right now F1 22 is on a huge sale on Steam, and that's why I'm looking for reviews, and the majority are very critical, I know is up to me whether buy it or not, but I just want to have a good time racing, I'm not aiming to be competitive. so, is it worth getting it up to this point?
honestly, 100% honest, F1 2020 was such a good game, id rather play it if I had it
Few things I’d add is that they somewhat hyped up having “new dlc” tracks into the game as post launch content which ended up being 2 tracks recycled from last years game that should have been in the game at launch.
Also it’s interesting to see that my playtime on this game is massively down on 2021, 2020 and 2019, only just completed 1 full season of MyTeam says a lot when i was doing like nearly 6 seasons in previous games
mate i loved 2020 my team those were great times, the maxed cars were like 70kph faster on the straights xD
thank you for commenting and the praise :)
Car sounded like a vacuum in the game
Ngl from this video thought u had a couple thousand subs at the minimum
we'll get there one day mate :)
thanks for commenting I really appreciate your words.
I think it's just about adapting to new models
i dont understand the traction control stuff arent f1 cars not supposed to have traction control
My experience with this game:
I play F1 2020 at 75 difficulty with no assists, no problem at all.
Sometimes after a 71 laps race, the game would kick me out and making me redo the entire race and i can’t even simulate
That's really annoying! Are you on Xbox? It sometimes happens to me because of network problems
Skill issue
I feel i'm one of the few people who are in love with the F1 22 handling characteristics :/
The career mode is bizarre. The more seasons you play, slower your car gets and somehow youre playing worst and worst, no matter which team you move.

There also safety car bug...
If you go to the.... i forgot what was it called... a new view when safety car
Sometimes the AI or even your 'auto' car overtook the safety car and then get DSQ lol
The worse thing if you pitted under safety car while that view is in play
Once i was 3rd but my time gap to the 2nd car is more than 1 minutes
Dont even know how that happened...
I finished in 3rd, but count as last
So yeah, i never touched it again lol...
Only watching streamers for fun but not playing it again
You missed how they changed the way the cars drive/handle every month or so in the beginning, so you constantly had to re-learn how to drive them.
You forgot that all ea play pro users were banned and after several hours unbanned on launch day
Well as a med tc user who used no tc in f1 2021 but f1 22 the traction was too difficult and abs off is also very difficult and the starts are quite hard and the bugs are do bad co op is literally unplayable after almost a year of its release itd worse than what it was in f1 2021
Also the AI are way too aggressive and the online ai are an absolute mess they spin you out push you off and het stuck on your rear I hope f1 23 can be just abit better
Feel like this is the modern f1 2014. I feel it’s the foundation of a good game. I wont be hype and hopeful though
i dont have an f1 game yet. should i buy f1 22 ?? (it costs only 11€)
It’s better now, I’d recommend buying if you don’t want to buy f1 23 when that comes out
I REALLY hope that EA focuses on physics, bugs, and realism, and doesn't go down the path of making a quick buck with re-skinned games full of micro-transactions.
Also F1 drivers all live in Monaco. So the “LA” mansion doesn’t really work. It failed to work as intended
Haha maybe, I bet some have LA mansions though!

Welcome to EA. We've been complaining about them for about a decade on NFL and NHL games
I play on controller and man is the game difficult. I still use medium tc but it's not easy, I'm running 10 points less AI than in 2021
It’s felt like the same tired design for years now. No keyboard support is still comical
That straight Line ai Speed still didnt get fixed?
i think on some tracks it did
@@AlexFrush so better Go for the mod insted?
@@dEiX. unsure, im not a big career player so i dont know
Your telling me it was the game and not the monitor???? I brought a new monitor the 3 times I heard it
oh no… 💀
you forgot the aggressive ai
true. now when you say it i remember when planning this video how that would be one of the main points lol
The traction was trash and the track grip was nonexistent. I’m not Jarno by any means at all, but I consider myself to be pretty good. I hardly got comfortable with it. My teammate in my series got nerfed by it. I won the title but only because I spent the most time trying to get used to it
Medium tc on f122 is maybe a little bit easier than no tc on f123
Wouldn’t go so far, but yes no tc on f122 was much harder than f1 23, thanks for commenting.
RIP Codemasters.
agreee withh youuu!!!
Medium TC was pretty bad too. But definitely better.
