So interesting to see behind the scenes. Can I make a suggestion for the person who runs your website ? A very useful option would be to have a filter button to hide out of stock items . Thanks
Yes the value of plastic is that you can reuse it. One day there will be only cell trays/pots that are bio-degradable that happen to be 'cost effective' we are really not there yet. Great videos!!! Keep them up!!!
Thanks for the tour Rosy, you have a great setup. I took chrysanthemum cuttings yesterday (six, cuttings total not varieties) and sowed some annuals for the garden. My greenhouse is the size of cupboard, leaning to a south facing wall, small but enough for my needs. Unfortunately I don’t live in the uk else I would definitely order from your nursery. Even if I rarely comment I watch all your videos so I seize the occasion to thank you for the great info you share with us. 😊
Interesting you put your bare roots outside, I would have thought they would be better in the tunnel. I put mine in a bit of a cold frame I cobbled together, but then, if I didn't they would blow away or drown. I wonder if us normal gardeners can buy those wire frames the pots are in?
Lovely to see a great professional setup. Many years ago I bought a house that had a greenhouse with a heated soil cable, I used that in conjunction with polystyrene ‘cell’ trays and had a great ‘strike rate with seeds. Never have understood the idea of sowing seeds then thinning then ( ie ripping the roots apart ) better to plant one seed per cell then plant on without disturbing the roots
There is a great channel by Charles Dowding, he plants veggies only and regularly multi-sow with success. I also recently watched RHS planting basil and they multi-sow.
Did you try Google? I live in Italy and through google I found quite a few family run small nurseries with a good range of perennials. Of course they are not near me and I order via their website but it’s definitely much better than what I can get in regular garden centers.
I love propagating; however, I'm always a little concerned I'm propagating patented varieties, any idea how and where I can find if the varieties are patented? If I'm not sure I don't like sharing them out 😅
Hello Rosy, your nursery is huge! Since I am in France and thus unable to order from you, I am going to Saint Jean de Beauregard at the end of April to vent my frustration. But I will make a list. Also I may have misunderstood but you have a machine do the potting ?
Rosy you are an inspiration. Great tour. I wish you were my local Nursery.
Enjoyed the looks at your propagation. Pl show more stuff like this. Helps us to do it in a small way.
We will keep doing these tours throughout the season.
Really interesting to see behind the scenes on how you grow all the plants for sale!
This seems very daunting to me but fascinating to see how things work, look forward to seeing progress in a few months!! You must have a good team.
Always great plants and excellent information on this channel.
I ❤ this channel 🌱

I have fond memories of your site from Hampshire country walks with a friend. I am still enjoying geums and crocosmia bought from you.

Not all seed is large enough to put one in a cell.

@@idreamtiwasbackatmanderley414 we also do multiple seed in plug trays and multiple pricking out
Wish there was a nursery like yours here in BC Canada. So many varieties that are not available here.
Same in germany 😮

@@pansepot1490 thanks for this great idea ! I'll try 👍
If only you could send the plants outside the UK..😢

Yes there is a pot filling machine we use, its featured somewhere on the channel before. A lot of potting we do entirely by hand though
So much work!
@@idreamtiwasbackatmanderley414 Yes but we have a human potting machine named Rob Hardy
Thank you for a good laugh!
