Didcot A Power Station switches off after 43 years (BBC Oxford)

Didcot A, the coal-fired power station in Oxfordshire, has been disconnected from the national grid after 43 years of service.
To mark the final day, lasers were used to project a message of thanks on to the station, saying 'Powering the nation 1970-2013'.
