@@DrewbaccaStarWars Im aware, you do realize for some of us, Pete has been our coach half of our life. Not seeing Pete on the sideline is still going to be very sad. We understand its a business and we were very fortunate to have had one coach that long, that doesn't make it hurt any less.

Can you explain what excites you so much? I’m being serious because there’s nothing I can find about this guy that impresses me at all. They talk about the ravens but when I go back and watch every snap they took ever since he was over there I saw special players. Not Coach. I see nothing in his history that excites me. I know I am hardheaded when it comes to change with the Seahawks because I’ve been a fan since 88, and even when Pete came in I’m like oh hell no he’s a college boy you can’t make it in the bags and thank God almighty, was I ever more than happy that I was proven wrong. And when my fellow fans rubbed it in my face, I was more than happy to take it. Because I want it to be proven wrong. When it comes to the head coach when it comes to the defensive coach, I always want to be proven wrong. But your comment is the first one I came across that said you changed your mind or this video change your mind what was it?

I had a sense of where MM was heading with Seahawks, & how smart he is, & that he joined us to espouse “win first & enjoy your job as a benefit - not as a primary goal”. It was time for that I think. As the months since then have unfolded, he is proving himself to be that smart, savvy, good/friendly-guy-but-good-boundaries coach. He is dead serious (without going all the way to being Belichek-y), & I think our organization needed that approach at this time. He’s still establishing his “reign” as our HC. Once that’s set, I think he will loosen up some. That’s correct progression in my mind. I’ve been with Seahawks since 1976. So I appreciate & understand your passion.

Wow.. I didn't really know how I would feel about Pete Carol stepping down and Mike McDonald's stepping up. I thought I would be devastated, but I'm not. I am really excited. I've been watching so many videos talking about Mike. I've learned alot about him in these past few days. In this video, seeing. Ĵ him sitting down in his new office where there's absolutely nothing but a desk and some empty shelves. It made me relate to him. I've started new jobs in empty offices with empty shelves, and I was thinking how intimidating it must feel to be stepping into the shoes of a man that brought Seattle to the Superbowl and back. I would imagine Pete Carroll's a tough act to follow, but I think this Mike is gonna bring us into a new NOW. I've heard he's a defense wizard, and boy do we need help... and from everything i've heard, help has arrived!😊 Pete Caroll was a mentor to everyone and a father figure to the few that didn't have a dad at home growing up. He was their friend and ally and The Alpha! Mike McDonald has to become the new Alpha and I think that would just be a little scary. He's going to step into an office, a classroom, and then a locker room for that first time. But.. you know what? I just think he's gonna do wonderfully!! The Seattle Seahawks have a great reputation for being Bad Ass on the field and complete gentlemen off the field. God bless you, Pete! Thank you soooo so much!. We're gonna miss you.. 😢 But... you're not going far. I think you're just down the hall, right ? It's good to know you'll still be around. ! This franchise, from the outside looking in, seems like it doesn't allow negative influences. Everyone in the building seems to have a smile and is positive and humble. This is a testament to the type of culture Ol' Pete helped create. We can only hope this team keeps this energy moving forward, but in listening to Mike, I feel that those values aligned with his vision. I am so stoked for the next 6 seasons.

Changes Hawks hope for: 1)Toughness - on his podcast KJ Wright said he remembers having too much fun and didn't tackle much (or at all) in preseason - it showed. 2) Clear communication of what is expected and how to accomplish it - Clint Hurtt and Caroll began saying defensive guys knew what they are supposed to do but weren't doing it. *Clearly* they weren't being clear to their players as this was a multi-year issue. 3) innovative defense - everyknow knows Caroll would never change from "bend don't break." Thank you Caroll for so many great years! God bless McDonald to lead us forward!

Man I absolutely love my Hawk's. This came out when I was at work so I couldn't sit down and digest it properly. Now that I have, the heart breaks for Pete no longer being here. But then the heart is super excited for Coach Macdonald and what he stands for. January was a damn emotional rollercoaster with the highest of highs followed by the lowest of lows, with such instance and finality. But then it jumped back up to the highs. It's been extremely hard to deal with. Even losing the superbowl at the 1 yard line I don't remember feeling as crushed as I did after the Natty when Pete was done and KDB left for Alabama fresh off a loss to Michigan. But sitting here now its weird how things work. Because I feel a tremendous amount if hope and excitement for both my Dawgs and my Hawks. I love my teams!!!! Go Dawgs!!! 💜💛 Go Hawks!!! 💙💚 2024 is going to be a lot of fun!!!!!

I (we) were "married" to Pete Carrol. The marriage in the first few years was vibrant, exciting and exceeded all expectations, We loved all things he did, said and the way he operated. As the marriage continued, the vibrancy dimmed and the words started to seem hollow and repetitive. I (we) started to question, not just his words but the way he operated. Towards the end impending end of our marriage, the original love was still there, the appreciation was still there but it was clear that we had drifted apart. It inevitably was nobody's fault persay..nobody cheated, nobody gambled away the grocery money. We just drifted apart. Sure...there is melancholy and some regrets. But the original love and appreciation will always be there. Thank you Pete Carrol. I will always remember our "marriage" fondly and only hope the best for you!

But we have a really good, young team. This team can make serious noise. Not sure if it'll all click the first year so I'm prepared to exercise patience. But the potential for greatness is already in the building. Now surround them with the right coaches and a few new players and this thing can and should be beautiful for the foreseeable future!!!! Seeing pete and leaving really made me tear up , because Seahawks is what braught me n my mom close together she is gone now and so is pete. Somtimes things change but you have be excited for what the furture holds. Indeed a new era in Seahawks history starts along with a new era in my life.
After watching the press conferences from mac and the coordinators I feel like this team is in really good hands, you can sense the same Pete Carroll culture with them, making it about the players always but also adding in a new level of creativity and now discipline which was something we lacked

All the top QB’s will be gone by pick 16! I think Seattle is obviously going with Geno in ‘24. And depending on how well Yosemite Sam can not only learn the offense, but thrive in it! If Sam doesn’t become the next franchise Qb, it only cost Seattle a 5th round draft choice basically!
