      Appreciate it Don, been following Betsy as well. She is coming along great and look forward to more. Mine is reaching the end of this part of the journey but hopefully starting a new journey this spring.

      @@68mustangrestoration34 I would just love to drive on the Kananaskis Trail in a convertible. I hope you guys get to it on your trip. Have you even been on it? We went on it about seven years ago. We had some amazing Indian food in Canmore then headed south on the trail. I soaked up the scenery like I was a sponge!

      @@davebrittain9216 not yet, but after searching it just now I will make sure it is on our list. We love the blue ridge as well, hundreds of miles of winding roads and trees.

    Looking fantastic Wally! Even though it was a long journey I think you will agree it was very satisfying and you know things are done to your expectations. I wish I was that far with my build.

      You will get there. As you know I have been taking time off to enjoy our short summer increasing the restoration timeline but at the same time I am retired so can work whenever I want. As the poster says life is a journey not a destination. Completion is only the first step. Keep up the good work and thank you for all your support

    Good work but wasn’t able to see if you cleaned the tires 🤔

    Would love to know where you found that foam trim piece around the radio. I need a new one for my 68 Coupe

      It had come in the kit from Autosound USA where I bought the radio. not sure if it is sold separately

      Do you remember the type of kit? I don't see it listed on their site.

      @@TheGordybombers turns out it was the custom autosound USA 740 NOT 750. Sorry, was a type-o on original video.

    Could it be that the center console is a 67 accessory and the radio is for a 68? There might be a slight difference in design between a 67 console radio and a standard 68 radio with a dash bezel.

    • @68mustangrestoration34
      @68mustangrestoration34  2 года назад +1

      I have verified this is a 68 console. I believe it is simply that the aftermarket radio is designed to fit multiple cars and years and therefore there will be nuances in a perfect fit. I probably could have mounted it without modification but my OCD , especially on this car made me look at even the smallest issue. So combination of both made me do it. But I am happy with the outcome.

      @@68mustangrestoration34 Definitely looks great! I've just never been able to source a 68 console. I was led to believe the 67 was the last year it came original.

      @@CMOSX yes, unfortunately they reproduce the 67 but not the 68. I found this over 2 years ago from some guy in Mississauga who had some spare parts and I snatched it up then. Was glad it cleaned up as well as it did.
