It's an incredible story about freedom. Mena's mother is my friend, the creative storytelling teacher Luzan Mattar. Last month Luzan wrote: “This story was created by my daughter Mena, 9 years old. This is her first attempt to create and tell a story after 6 months of the school closure in the war. She imagined the story and drew the characters herself. Mena's dream is telling a story in the World Storytelling Cafe.”
This recording of Mena telling the story so beautifully was played the next day at the World Storytelling Cafe so Mena's dream did come true • Mena in Gaza just toda... 🌹.
