    I’ve just started using Toro Toro mains with ReString Sync crosses on my Pure Aero 98, 52 x 48lbs…. Had one hit with it and it felt great, crisp, yet lively enough, decent pop but great control, great directional control may I add… And good spin. Initially feels better than Wasabi Pro anyway. Then went and began our leagues and played 2 matches with it and won them both playing great tennis! Also…. For the first time EVER I took my vibration dampener off my strings, I’ve always played with a dampener but one of my mates told me to try without it for better feel, I couldn’t get over the ping noise before but gave it a go again…. And I’m genuinely noticing a feel of difference without it, in a good way…. And I’ve got over the ping noise. Might be an interesting concept for a video for u and maybe for others 😊👍

    I like sync a lot as a cross with confidential at the moment. Since you started selling these, I will try sync/wasabi next, thanks to you. Only thing I would love to see you do is to have similar deals that they have overseas. Restring has a good discount if you buy 5pack for example, but you don't. You could do bundles or offer discount for multibuying. I bought 5 packs of sync from you recently

    Love that bit of Welsh att the end. First at all, many thanks for this review. I was patiently waiting for this! I think i need to try sync on mean and 0 on cross to decide what i prefer. Although, I'm currently very happy with 0 on mean and sync on cross. I got the feeling that increasing the tension up to 50 could be "the ring for my finger" As we say in Spanish

      We knew this was a video quite a few people were waiting for and we are glad you enjoyed it. Obviously everyone has a different preference so if you end up trying; sync in the mains and zero in the crosses, let us know how you find it and which you prefer! 🎾

    I have been experimenting with this restring hybrid at lower tensions and found it to play much better than you seem to have found it in this review. Out of curiosity, I wrote RESTRING directly with some of my personal findings and asked their advice on string tension for this hybrid and this is what they said. Passing this along for your consideration:
    "We are big fans of playing at low tensions with both our strings and this is something we often recommend to our customers. As you might have noticed through your experimentation until now, our strings work really well at low tensions - this largely comes down to how well our strings pocket the ball which you can really feel at those lower tensions. The increased snapback potential is also really felt at those lower tensions since you get increased movement on the strings which works especially well with strings that have good snapback since the mains and crosses slide well against each other giving you more power, spin and overall ball pocketing. That being said, I would agree with you that when stringing Zero in a full bed at lower tensions the ball starts to sail a little bit and you'd start to feel a bit disconnected to the ball. Adding in Sync as a cross option really helps tame this set up down bringing in a bit more control. You can also flip it and try Sync as your main and Zero as the cross if you are interested in getting a bit more control from the stringbed while still having that additional pop that Zero would bring. In terms of tension, it'll really come down to personal preference but I could recommend raising it by a few pounds, especially if you have Zero as your main of choice to tone down the power a little bit. I've also experimented with adding a 3/4lb tension differential between the cross and the main (cross being lower). What I find is that this gives me the best of both worlds - the slightly higher tension on the mains helps with additional control and directional feel when I want it (on serves, big swings etc...) but the lower tension on the cross gives me that enhanced pocketing and dwell time, and as a bonus gives me more string movement (less friction when the tension differential is higher) which helps with spin production. In my case, this would look like Zero at 45 and Sync at 41 but given that you like even lower tensions, what about Zero at 43 and Sync at 39?"

      Many thanks for posting this as I was thinking of contacting them and asking about main/cross tension differences when using sync and zero!

      @@AWGG42 i’ve been using this set up now for a couple months and I’ve found that I like the Sync in the crosses at about +3 lbs best. I think it gives you the most control in slightly more Christmas given how launchy the ZERO can be. Currently at 40/43 and may nudge a bit higher during these warm summer months for a little extra control. Feels and plays great!

    • @AWGG42
      @AWGG42 16 дней назад

      @@markmoorefineart7453 Thank you. I've got the thinner restrings, 17g. I've just put a couple of racquets in to be restrung at 48 Zero mains, 46 Sync crosses. I figured the thinner gauge would be more lively and therefore decided to go at a slightly higher tension. I'll see how they play. If I'm brave I might try 42 zero mains + 45 sync crosses for my next restring. There seem to be two different schools of thought about whether the mains or the crosses are strung higher.

    • @markmoorefineart7453
      @markmoorefineart7453 16 дней назад

      @@AWGG42 I also play with the thinner strings and I’ve strung this set up as low as 37 pounds in the crosses and 35 in the mains. Plays great for a few hours.
      I’ve also run into the same issue about the discussion over tension differentials between the mains and the crosses. The traditional school used to be to string the crosses higher by 2 to 4 pounds. Then people started streaming them both the same as people use more polyester strings. Recently people like Alcarez have been very vocal about stringing the main strings 2 to 4 pounds tighter than the crosses. Now, a lot of the pros are streaming with poly hybrids and gone back to stringing the crosses higher again - Shelton and Eubanks come to mind.
      One of the most respected people in the stringing world is John Youngblood of Guts and Glory Tennis in Atlanta. Here’s what he had to say, and I stick by it.
      POLYESTER STRING TENSIONS
      John Youngblood
      Guts and Glory Tennis, Atlanta
      However, back when we drew this conclusion we were not in the era of polys and hybrids. The physical properties of these strings have not only altered the game, but have also provided a strong rationale for increasing the tension on the cross strings.
      When a racquet is strung with the set tension the same in the mains and the crosses the differential between the two (as measured by a Stringmeter) is often in the 32 - 37% range. You read that correctly. The mains will measure (on average) 35% tighter than the cross strings. In the context of a full synthetic or a natural gut setup, this has not been an issue. It has been status quo. However, with full polys or poly hybrids it is less than ideal. The differential in tension with poly-based strings should ideally fall in the range of 20 - 25%…no more. When the differential in tension is brought closer together, the mains and crosses are able to work in unison with one another. When they are further apart, (greater than 25%), the mains are punished until they stabilize and come closer in line with the crosses. The result of this in the today’s world of polys is that the poly mains become overstretched and thus lose their tension and playability rapidly. One easy way to extend the optimal life of your poly setup is to allow the crosses to support the mains. This extends the useful playability by a considerable amount.
      Bringing the mains and crosses closer in tension offers HUGE benefits for poly players. It allows players to string at lower reference tensions where polys will shine, it extends the useful playability of the stringbed and extends the time players can get solid performance before having to restring. The easiest way to bring the mains and crosses closer to one another so they will work in unison is to increase the tension of the cross strings by approximately 4 pounds. The simple act of altering tension in this manner will definitely lead to a noticeable increase in performance in most instances. HOWEVER, when increasing the tension on the crosses it is possible to overstretch the poly, exceeding the elastic limits of the string. This is most likely to occur on constant pull machines that overshoot tension.
      Because of this potential pitfall we recommend keeping the tension on the crosses the same or up to 2 pounds lower than the mains and using extended pulling time before clamping off. The extended pulling time on a constant pull machine (much more difficult to achieve this effect on a crank machine) will produce the desired outcome much more reliably than increasing the set tension. We recommend keeping each cross under tension for 20 seconds before clamping off. This may seem like it will add considerable time to the stringing process, but it really does not. While the cross is under tension go ahead and pre-weave the next cross string. After weaving the cross, release the tension and clamp off. Stringing in this manner is a bit awkward at first, but soon the stringer becomes fluid in working with this method. The on court results are definitely worth the effort!

    Great content, can you do some more blend videos? I've found Zero 1.23 / Enso Pro @50lb to be amazing on my 18x20 Gravity Pro 2023 (blue/neon pink aesthetics also cool), whereas Wasabi / Enso Pro was just far too stiff at the same tension and gave elbow problems, may try it again much lower tension.

    This was helpful, thanks guys. I've had zero in the mains and sync in the crosses for the last week. The week before that I had a full bed of sync. Just over 50 lbs in my vcore 98. Same experience as you, I fell in love with the silky connected feel of the sync full bed and miss it. I do appreciate the spin and power of the blend, but without that feel I have less confidence and tend to push more or overhit. I also miss the feel around the net and control on serves.
    I'm going to try Toroline Caviar and sync to see if it's still spinnier than the sync full bed but with better feel. But I still have half a packet of zero so will also try that in the crosses.

    Zero (mains) x Synx (crosses) in theory, makes more sense for obvious geometry/friction reasons.
    PH Tennis, do you think a full-bed of a very slick string doesn't offer as much "connection" to the ball as much as a less slick stringbed?
    Less (re)directional control in favor of longevity maybe?

    Great video as always. How does the zero main and sync on the cross compare to wasabi pro from toroline? Also, some people are complaining that Sync doesn't last as much as zero on the cross. Did you feel the same regarding durability?

      Thanks! … Hard to say regarding durability as everyone’s play conditions and styles are so different. We haven’t noticed a significant difference though. Feels very similar to Wasabi Pro / Pro Hybrid maybe a bit softer and more comfortable … and looks better too!

    Currently favorite string is grapplesnake tour sniper mains yonex poly tour fire crosses. Feels better than either one of them separately. I think grapplesnake tour sniper with a toroline round cross like enso pro or washabi x could be very good. But as i cannot get either i chose poly tour fire. To me grapplesnake tour sniper feels very stiff so i wanted to soften it up a bit and i like round strings in general. Interestingly i tried before grapplesnake tour sniper mains and razor code white 1.3 crosses and only the tour sniper got notched this also seems to be the case with poly tour fire crosses.

    first video i've watched from your channel and I thought it was very well made. silly question here, if I bring a racquet to my local stringer is it normal to request a hybrid setup? does it make the process harder for them? am I going to be scoffed at if I'm just a 3.5 level asking for a hybrid set up lol

      Thanks for the positive review! Hope you enjoy some of our other videos too.
      Absolutely not, any stringer should be more than comfortable doing a hybrid or blend set-up.
      A fully qualified stringer in the UK, has to pass an exam and this is done using a hybrid set-up.
