he charge just 2 Singapore dollars per bowl but still he go all out to handmade each of his chendol ingredients, Wow!!!! Now that is what we call commitment!!!!!
Not even usd lol
He doesnt even use modern presses. He use his HANDS
In us, that would cost you $12 easy
@@poppy89 What a world we live in.
In Indonesia, it'll cost less than 1 usd. Only like idr 5000
he be switching in between 3 languages like a real Singaporean
he only speak two languages?
@@menacetosociety9076 singlish is a language too. kum gong kia...
@@zueinder89 why so butthurt? also he never spoke singlish here, just switching between English and mandarin with a Singaporean accent. edit: kum gong means idiot/stupid. In case anyone else flares up at me poking fun at gerald who was being an ass. Geez.

'Because I know how to make every single ingredient so it doesn't make sense for me to buy my supplies just to simplify my work. Because I feel that when my customers put down that S$2 for me, they just want to have a good bowl of chendol that is sincerely and passionately made.' Bravo. 👍
I'm sold! From the pale green color of chendol, i can tell its using real pandan leaf.
Fresh pandan is so much better than artificial. That's what I use to make my tau huay.
Yep. It is so rare these day
Untriggered indonesian here
Gatel tangan w wkwk
Rare species , Indonicus untriggericus
A ;0 *tahan tahan jangan ke-trigger jangan ke-trigger*
Sebenarnya aku terpelatuk-_- but yeah,
Im proud of this guy 😭 i wanted to try this cendol so bad
This looks so good!!! Such humble pricing for so much effort! Thank you!!
Really hope I can go Singapore try it one day. I was instantly sold the second he said he doesn’t use canned kidney beans and then I feel in love further when he said he hand made everything! Awe.
*How to pick a fight or trigger a war?*
"even though the dessert didn't originate from Singapore, we make it better than the original country"
*Sarcasm roasting detected.*
I feel roasted already almost done lol
I've tried many cendol with variously additional ingridients here in Indonesia but I always go back to the simplest and the old kind of cendol because cendol is the star 😙
I actually agree that Chendol is Southeast Asian by nature, I mean so many similar renditions across the subcontinent
Malaysia win the war. Gula Melaka is from Malaysia
The Great One childish and narrow minded
Just had it and this is truly superb. It's good and he knows it and is proud of it. Keep up the good work!
I would suggest this guy to increase the chendol price for at least $3 for that much of hard work!!
No pls I am poor...
Nabei you and your stupid mouth. And in anycase he know his cost and prices, his cost is low, his labor is the cost.
@@MrBoliao98 I like to think he deserves the price increase.
@@LunarEdge7 u pay lah, say until dmam easy, how often you give him business, you eat from him once a week see how much money you can let him earn.
MrBoliao98 u bark so much,u go make and sell for 2 dollar see u can last bo
this is way pure than cendol at my kampung man, lots of work, commitment. i guess you also hand made your gula melaka too !
Hahaha
He also makes the ice at home
He plant the bean from japan himself
He produce sugar from sugar canes himself

this isn't even a proper Es Cendol. this is called ES TELER.
Just wait.....
For spark debate
Truth always hurts I know.
Not feel offended, i may have my own preferences for chendol especially we have many versions....but im not interested on that see...he has that determination n have good spirit... So i really proud of him bcoz of that.. Hope u will find a way to make it easier to expand the market.
@Jacky Phantom I totally agree
In indonesia there's this cendol company that uses not only pandan but also suji leaves. The suji added extra flavor, smells like pandan but more flavorful. Also the red bean/kidney bean here doesnt taste sour, maybe the sour taste comes from the processing? Indonesian usually soak the bean in water overnight before boil the bean.
That's a piece of interesting information - thank you.
I will definitely give it a try to support him! This is amazing 😉
Thank you for providing fresh, original ingredients to consumers. Your dharma, attitude and approach will take you far in life!
Hats off sir, you certainly are the most honest and passionate chendol seller i know, certainly will visit your store when I visit Singapore, my hometown
"because I know how to make every single ingredient, then it makes no sense for me to buy from the supplier just to simplify my work"
Words of a human being with a working brain and heart
I’ve had this months ago and I was mind blown! So good! :’(
Love this very much with coco milk as well thank you for sharing your beautiful video love your video thanks
I'll definitely buy 2 orders once I go to Singapore in the future. This looks delish!
Malaysian here.that is the most generous and mouth-watering looking cendol.kudos to him.he should be proud
I love your chendol . Thank you for not taking short cuts . Your chendol is the best I have tasted !
Last four years ago I'm a regular customer in that shop
The taste is really amazing
U need only two dollars to try it
I always ate two cups for once
classic south east asia dessert!!omg i grew up with this! And various type too, i also bought the chendol that is not shaved ice but the liquid drink one 😋 also taste the shaved ice one but not on singapore 😋
seeing how passionate the boss is, i also would like to order two bowls!
The traditional way of making cendol, Luckily there are still some cendol sellers use traditional way of making cendol in Indonesia that have been passed through generations 😀
Ikr they shouldve interviewed indonesian
Can you give us recommendation of sellers that are still making cendol in the traditional way esp in Jakarta or Surabaya?
@@aaaaa68437 I'm sorry I dont remember the exact place since I've lived in jember for 5 years. But when I went back home to Bogor there are still a lot of traditional cendol sellers found. Maybe you can find it in Kota Tua, Jakarta. There're many sellers who sell old-fashioned traditional street food to keep the heritage.
If i'm in Singapore i'll pay 6$ for the effort he's making and the fact that he refuses the artificial ingredients and still making his products always fresh, i hope he'll reach the top. 👌🏻
Nice that he does it the old way, but thats how most portable stalls do it everywhere in the indo/malay kampungs, simply put because they cant afford the premade stuff. They even have the old skool ice shaver on their cart so you can tell from a distance that a cendol cart is approaching.
All home made this is brilliant 👍🏼👌👏🏼
I know that Indonesia has cendol too and it looks way different than this cendol, but I'd love to try other kind of cendols too 😍
it's more like es campur here
ini lebih mirip es campur sih
Yep. The singapore ones using red beans and no coconut milk or red sugar/palm sugar
Cendol is from Java Indonesia you can search the history of it.
Indonesian cendol is lazy lol. It's good but not much effort nor inovation
Happy Lunar New Year. May you enjoy a long and prosperous business career.
I never eat cendol with red bean and shaved ice before in indonesia, at least for me. Im used to cendol and gula aren ( brown sugar ), santan and ice cube.
I ate there before! It was really good.
In Việt Nam we actually don’t have chendol exactly like this one , but we do have variety of dessert using those ingredients ^^
Not gonna lie , I've never seen cendol looks that good before
Tried it after watching this video. Solid!
I recently went there to try it and it's really amazing!
Bravo 👏 boss. Felt his passion in a bowl of cendol. In Malaysia Indian based and Chinese made cendols do taste and look different. I grew up in KL ✌️
He is the best person. Spend all his time making Chandol from scratch and charge only $2 a bowl. I wonder where in Singapore his shop is . Love to taste his Chandol. Must be extra yummy.
yeah yeah chendol sounds and looks interesting but this guy is giving me butterfliessss im blushing
So much effort and dedication, the Chendol must be nice
The green jelly is easily and traditionally made and included in myanmar's sweet snack, "Shwe Yin Aye," which means Golden coolant for chest.
Omg, if only I saw this before I left Singapore... looks so good ;;
Great job. All the best to your sincere and honest business.
My father here in Jakarta used to selling cendol. Now the bussinees has been stop. One day hopefully I can continue his legacy and reopen the bussinees.
The chendol must be savory since its contain his sweat. He looks like young Tony Leung btw

Thank you... youtube for recommending this video to me. Its 9.30pm now and im craving chendol.😑
This guy has a very clear idea of what he wants and he just do it. It's the reason he's successful.
no matter where the cendol was founded, it's still a cendol to me, the best natural tasty dessert

Omg 0:21 the uncle freaking disturb. LMAO!!

i had this bowl last week. Best in SG! hands down!
I really do not mind paying $10 for this kind of quality.
I love owners who go the extra mile
I & mom love it. Bought several times while in Singapore. It's thick brown sugar syrup, freshly made cendol. Very different from Indonesian cendol.
就是要有你这种保持传统的精神。 感谢🙏
So sweet his grandma ..and his grandpa
You ning, you're gorgeous and very handsome
You are very passionate about your chendol, the amount of work and effort you put in is breath taking.
Wow your customers must be very previliged to savour your mouthwatering chendol, if I get the opportunity to visit Singapore, from Ireland, I will definitely pay homage to your chendol store, YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUMMY.

He is low-key bragging in this video but i like his confidence
Keep it up laoban 👍🏻
Awws he’s cute!😻
I went down quite a few time.. how come I didn’t get to see this handsome guy!!! :,(
OMG I don't know if there's any Malaysian cendol stall left that makes its cendol from scratch!! And not using the red kidney beans from cans is seriously good thinking. Must try this out the next time I visit s'pore
Boy ,当然冠军就是你了🏆
It is called cendol too in some part of Indonesia..
In some other parts people called it Dawet..
Sweat make it tastier 🤔
Woah this it the OG chendol
WHY DIDN'T I FIND THIS CHANNEL BEFORE I VISITED SINGAPORE 😭
This is making me craving for cendol
He made every ingredients homemade and tried to give the best he can for 2 dollars... well thats nice of him...
That looks so damn good.
Amazing
I'm astonished he had to resort to Chinese when his English seemed fluent enough. Guess he is just a well practiced Chinese-language-raised guy.
I believe that we, Cambodia, do have it as well
