William Arkin: CIA Is Playing "Outsize Role" in Ukraine Despite Biden Pledge Not to Send U.S. Forces

  • A new investigation reveals the extent of the CIA's involvement in the war in Ukraine, where the agency operates clandestinely in what, under a formal declaration of war, would be the domain of the military. We're joined on the show by the author of the investigation, William Arkin, a national security reporter and senior editor at Newsweek, who says that the CIA has "got its hand in a little bit of everything" in Ukraine. According to various sources, the CIA is shuttling weapons into Ukraine using a "gray fleet" of commercial aircraft that crisscrosses Central and Eastern Europe, sending personnel into Ukraine on secret missions and assisting Ukrainians with new weapons and systems, all while using Poland as its clandestine hub to coordinate its operations inside the country. At the same time, the U.S.'s nonaligned status appears to place a limit on its intelligence, keeping it in the dark on both Zelensky and Putin's next moves.

It is garbage that the CIA doesn’t know what Ukraine is up to. This is only a narrative now because the CIA doesn’t want to have any culpability in the truly astounding array of war crimes and atrocities that Zelenskyy‘s “government” has promulgated. The crimes are coming out, and once they start to flow freely it will be hard for the CIA to deny any involvement.

It was NOT the military alliance itself that triggered the Cuban Missile Crisis. It was the U.S. placement of nukes on Russia's border in Turkey that prompted Russia to place nukes in Cuba that created the crisis. When JFK promised Russia to remove the nukes from Turkey, Russia removed the nukes from Cuba, ending the crisis. Zelensky SAID he was going to get nukes. That was one of the events that prompted Russia's intervention. The other was the clear peril to Ukrainian ethnic Russians in the Donbass from the U.S./NATO/Kiev military.

@@maryhuckaby2239 Did a quick look up on "Aegis" missiles including setup for Poland. I came across discussions of missile "interceptors" and missile "defense". Thus making it harder for missiles to be shot at Polish cities. Putin has a great deal of explaining to do if his argument is that Russian security needs the ability to shoot missiles into Polish cities.
"Zelensky SAID he was going to get nukes. That was one of the events that prompted Russia's intervention." Considering that Ukraine had nukes years ago and gave them up in exchange for security guarantees from the USA and Russia this claims smacks of bs on its face. Now Ukrainians have said that Russian violations of that agreement such as Putin's earlier invasion of Crimea in 2014 put the requirement that Ukraine should continue to honor the agreement in doubt-but Ukraine has not started to build a nuclear weapons program. Like many things Putin claimed near the start of this war, that is another lie.
"The other was the clear peril to Ukrainian ethnic Russians in the Donbass from the U.S./NATO/Kiev military." Speaking of Putin's lies this sounds like another one. Putin has been falsely claiming genocide was happening against Russian speakers for some time now. Not only has Russia provided little to no evidence for these claims (because they are lies) but Ukrainian President Zelenski is a Russian speaker as his 1st language.

The U.S. has been at de facto war with Russia for a few years.
      February 6, 2022
American mercenaries are behind the attack on Donetsk.
American mercenaries who arrived in Donbas a few months ago are behind the attack on Donetsk the previous afternoon. This is evidenced by the fact that NATO-standard weapons were used during the shelling, moreover, at least two groups of American mercenaries were previously seen in the suburbs of Donetsk, which are under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is known that American mercenaries are taking part in the fighting in the Donbass. At the same time, given that the city was shelled the previous morning using NATO-standard weapons, it is more than likely that members of a private military company from the United States are also behind the attack.
According to official data, as a result of a two-hour shelling of Donetsk, there is significant destruction in the Kievsky district of the city. In particular, it is reported about the destruction of warehouses and garages. There is unofficial information about the victims, but this has not received any documentary evidence.
Experts note that if information about the attack by American mercenaries on Donetsk is confirmed, Russia may send military assistance to the self-proclaimed republics, since Kiev's current actions violate the terms of the Minsk agreements.
      15 February 2022
The US is participating in the war on Donbass.
. Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the south of the DPR immediately after reconnaissance of an American aircraft . The units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the south of the DPR immediately after the reconnaissance of the American side.
The American military reconnaissance aircraft Boeing RC-135V was involved in the latest attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the south of the DPR. As it became known to the Aviapro news agency, the night before, fire was opened on a number of settlements in the DPR, where militia forces were moving, from various types of weapons, mainly from 120-mm mortars.
According to data obtained by the Aviapro news agency, during reconnaissance by an American military aircraft along the line of contact, close attention was paid to militia targets located near the line of contact. Later, the southern part of the DPR was subjected to heavy shelling and, as it turned out, additional DPR units could indeed be deployed in the village of Kominternovo, although this information did not receive any comments from representatives of the self-proclaimed republic. Experts note that the involvement of the American military aircraft in the attack is obvious, since the strikes were carried out only on certain areas of the line of contact and on settlements.
      February 19, 2022
UKRAINIAN ARMY CONTINUES MASSIVE SHELLING OF DONETSK AND LUHANSK
~ The Ukrainian army continuously fires 120mm mortars at the settlements of Zaitseve and Dokuchaevsk in the Donetsk region.
Thousands of shells were fired during the day, mainly at civilian infrastructure and residential areas in the districts of Gorlovka and Lugansk, currently under massive artillery fire by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Dozens have been reported only in the last hour.
A few hours ago, the car of the head of the People’s Militia of the DPR Denis Sinyakov was blown up by Ukrainian saboteurs in the center of Donetsk
At midnight on February 19, a critical element of the Luhansk People’s Republic infrastructure - the node of the Druzhba (Дружба) gas pipeline - exploded. The strong blast shook the whole of Lugansk.
Another explosion in Lugansk thundered in the Kamennobrodsky district. A gas station was blown up there.
A couple of hours before, two transformer substations in the Donetsk Republic were damaged by shelling. The Ukrainian army is deliberately destroying the infrastructure of Donetsk and Lugansk, thereby implementing the idea of the President of Ukraine of Zelensky’s “indomitable” nationality, that all residents of these regions who disagree with Ukrainian Government in Kiev should flee to Russia.
The President of Ukraine, Zelensky: “I think that if you live today in the territory of Donbass, temporarily occupied, and you think that: “Our cause is right, we are Russians, we are going to Russia, it’s a big mistake to stay in Donbass…” For the future of their children and grandchildren… it is already necessary to go and look for a place in Russia. It is right. Because there will be no civilization on this territory without Ukraine. Ukraine will grow upwards, Donbass in the occupied form will not grow anywhere. There will be no happiness for these people.”
At the same time, when there are massive shelling and terrorist attacks in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, US President Biden during a press conference accused the DPR and the LPR of violating the ceasefire and said that there is no evidence that Ukraine is preparing an attack.

From June 2015-the inevitability of WWIII because Russia stopped US backed terrorists in Syria.
“As an aggressor nation, which believes self-righteously in its superiority and views its offensive actions as defensive, the United States is deeply unhappy about the fact that Russia is bombing CIA-trained terrorists. That it armed and trained terrorists to topple a sitting government is of course not examined as problematic or as worthy to reflect on.
How will the US respond to the loss of its hegemonic control over Syria?
Commentator magazine argues that the Pentagon is now preparing a response whose details of course remain secret. It proposes placing US air jets near by Russian jets with the hope of provoking the Russian jets to shoot them down in order to provoke an international incident and a third world war. It argues that today as in the course of the first world war, US and Russian interests are that divergent that a world war seems inevitable, while advocating for it even as it claims with supposed innocence that such a war may just be something that has to take place.
It is also possible that the US will seek to provide false intelligence on a given ISIS target at a particular area while the target happens to be a densely populated school or a hospital, in order to present Russia as a mass-killer of civilians (a position of moral superiority which it desperately seeks as they deflect attention from its own crimes).
Additional scenarios may be encouraging wahabi terrorism inside the Russian Federation, orchestrating terrorist attacks in Moscow, providing Syrian rebels with missiles to bring down military jets or giving a green light to Kiev to launch a full attack on Donbass.
The ideal incident would be one in which Russia is clearly presented as an aggressor in the US public opinion and as a situation in which an argument can be made that the US must attack Russia as a matter of self-defense.
Americans can be easily deceived into believing that Russia attacked US soldiers out of the blue and therefore Russia should take extra precautions to avoid into such traps.”

Ukraine has been dealing with the issue of corruption that was inherited from Soviet times, even an idiot knows this!, This report is more or less calling the CIA stupid! He also says the US has no agreement with Ukraine...er it does, it's signed the Budapest memorandum!

    • @todorkolev7565

perhaps this is the whole idea...
From an American point of view: Ukraine's victory is insignificant (it doesn't change anything in how the US country or people carry on), while the risks that are associated with Ukraine using Western support to beat the Russians are unacceptable.
That could explain why Western support falls short of just giving the Ukrainians our LATEST stuff and ENOUGH of it.
Then, this can easily explain Reznikov's resignation: Corruption was just an excuse! The real reason is the attacks by Ukraine on Russian soil.
USA wants their pound of flesh for these attacks, which benefit Ukraine and do not benefit the USA but RISK the USA very much!
And USA wants their pound of flesh without making it too public that "Ukraine just does what the USA says".
Let's see, now without Reznikov, if Ukraine continues to attack Russia - this will tell you if the above is correct or not!

Therefore 20 days before JFK was assassinated, Diem was killed. Little did they know that General Minh was a sleeper cell of Vietcong (Vietnamese communist). The whole thing came to light after the fall of Saigon 1975. Minh’s brother (Duong Van Nhut)’s force came in Saigon and accepted the South Vietnamese government’s unconventional surrender. The complexity of politics and military has many layers and dimensions. Very difficult to understand and control of the third-world-like countries.
