I loved 2093 but i was so surprised to hear many yeat fans not liking it. It makes me feel like they pushed yeat back into making only this older style of music. I hope he continues to innovate though and there’s definitely some fantastic tracks on this but it’s not 2093 level. I still enjoyed it overall as a fun hype album.
Literally same. Loved 2093 and it was my first album I fully listened to by him and then I saw majority of fans hated it for the most part which was crazy to me.
Gotta admit he brings in a new sound you don't hear often from artists nowadays. He's not scared to switch his style and experiment new stuff, also bringing back past aspects of his older songs to his new stuff, pleasing not only new fans but changing it up as well. Definitely stapled his name in the game and i dont see him leaving anytime soon. Btw Forever Again is hands down the best vibe of the album, his cd exclusive songs are just wow dude 😂😂😂
I think the outro of Fate is meant to be a peak into the sound of his next project, A Dangerous Lyfe, which he says in the lyrics. Got me hyped asf for it
@@arikkoschak9643that’s what I’m saying, I think the last minute or so where he says “I'ma end this off on a good note, I hope you ready for A Dangerous Lyfe” is a window into that sound
I really enjoyed this album 🔥 STFU, ORCHESTRATE, BE QUIET, HEARD OF ME AND FATE (BONUS) are my favs on first 2 listens. Also, I've seen a lot of mixed opinions on Kodak's verse on BE QUIET but I thought he was fantastic on it personally🔥🔥🔥 def my fav feature on the album
A DANGEROUS LYFË Will be similar to 2093 which is good instead of copy pasting the same album and a third one soon because he said in a fan page groupchat that his working on promo for all 3
Carti is such a natural fit because he and Yeat are kings of rage (some will argue Ken Carson is in there but eh), Travis does feel like someone who could get right in this style and go off
25:09 I feel like a collaboration that hasn't happen yet that should happen at some point is between Yeat & Travis Scott. Because I feel like they both have a really futuristic/alien type of sound(if that makes any sense)to their music that it would be almost a perfect match(at least to me).
Hey CDTV. I would like to see you do a tier list of all albums that appeared on your WORST Rap Albums videos. I wanna see how you compare between Total Xanarchy and Tattletales.
I’d say this album for me feels like something to chew on while we wait for A Dangerous life, hopefully he’ll take his time with that and that’ll hit on the same, if not, higher level of 2093.
His last album genuinely surprised me, as someone who thought his whole style wasn’t interesting to me or the track list would be daunting. But nope, it was awesome!
2:00 yeats sound is primarily a really long chorus… I’ve noticed that too. There’s serval songs where the verses are only 4 bars throughout lfyestyle😂 he knows hooks his forte
It clearly feels a lot different from 2093, this album definitely shows his sound has evolved and still has some pieces from 2093 and a clear shift of sound and beats. It feels like a new, more purposeful 'era' or phase of yeat and im here for it
this actually was in production before 2093 iirc (Yeat had different versions of songs before 2093 even came out) so his sound here is more akin to his og sound than to 2093. However, I do think ADL will follow suite to 2093 with it being more experimental bc that small section at the end of Fate was really good.
yk damn well he not gon like those albums. The closest he'll probably get to liking summrs is what we didn't have or fallen raven and this is a longshot but maybe intoxicated.
As a long time yeat fan whose heard almost every unreleased song from him; not gonna lie you pretty much hit the nail on the head with all of your review. A lot of this album really isnt special quality wise for yeat and it suffers from repetition HEAVILY. The features seem very mismatched, as imo only thug can really match yeat on a track in terms of vocal versatility and uniqueness. Imo, Stfu/ On 1/flytroop/lying 5 fun/lyfestyle are nice but not special for yeat. Be quiet is below average due to kodak's verse, go2work is below average due to the mixing on summrs voice. They tell me/geek time/speedball suffers from repetitiveness due to it being one chorus repeated. my favs: heard of me, u dont know lyfe, orchestrate, the costes (although repetitive), gone 4 a min, forever again (although repetitive), eliminate, new high (although don toliver shouldve been left off) so what, god talkin shh, lyfe party, fate
25:09 So unironically, I think Drake was one of the better ones mainly due to As We Speak from 2093. That song goes hard as hell and Drake matches the vibe Yeat set for the track. I ain't even really a fan of Drake but that was a good feature. But aside from that, I think the main 2 that fit the best were Young Thug and Uzi. It helps that the 2 branch out a fair amount and their voices work pretty well over a lot of production styles. Don Toliver is close cause I really liked Geeked Up and Heavy Stunts but the track on this album is very whatever and boring.
@@afro3054 not rage bait at all I love yeat But damn he started sounding the same and I damn near fell asleep listening to the album If u like it then cool But yeat is not what made him popular anymore

I just think the majority of tracks on this album were monotonous and got boring quick. Less replay value than an album like 2093 and funnily enough 2093 had less replay value than some other insane albums he had such as 2 alive, up 2 me and Lyfe

uzi and young thug yeats best collaborators, summrs on yeats old stuff is tuff too but not released.
