@@Hyattmama 💯 Yes. Just spread it thinly on some parchment paper and let it air dry completely. It's important to not use heat to dry it, it will stay shelf stable for up to a year 🖤
Im confused do I need to keep discarding, you video says in the beginning that is your only discard. Does that mean all you do next is just feed it until it grows 4-6 after feeding.
Hi! Sorry for the confusion.... Yes, you will need to continue to discard after you've activated it, however when first rehydrating it's best to discard your discard (as in throw it in the trash or compost) rather than keeping it to use in recipes. Once it's doubling in 4-6 hours you'll still need to discard, but you can then use it in recipes rather than throw it out 💞✨ Hope that helps!

Great tutorial! Do you know if you can use other types of flour? Like almond flower?
First! I have yet to start mine. I have to pin this one to come back to.
Excited for you Jenn! It will last at least a year from when I sent it (probably longer) So no rush!
Could you dehydrate the discard and use that as another starter?

Just got your starter. I prepared it before I saw this video. I didn’t use a sterilized jar. Will that ruin it? The jar was clean.😅
@@joannnovosel6161 It will be fine 🙂
