The restoration was done by Robert Aylward, he wrote about it recently on Facebook because he was getting a lot of enquiries. It was originally a four string Eddie Freeman model conversion done badly according to Rob. He pretty much rebuilt it and says the only original features left are essentially just the back and sides..
Tim thanks for sharing those details. I assume you’re referring to the 1933 model? The 1932 looked reasonably original although it had been worked on in France. Many Thanks
@@archtopheaven9549 yes that’s correct the 1933 model. As you say the other one looks pretty good, not meaning the 1933 wouldn’t be a very nice guitar. I’ve owned a Rob Aylward Selmer type guitar in the past and it was a wonderful instrument.
