Singapore, KL and Penang at the end of Feb and Japan in October. Love your work Paddy and contrary to some other opinions, I really enjoyed Switzerland. I wasn’t a big fan of your singing in Philippines but I know tonnes of your viewers were. Have a very Merry Christmas and can’t wait to see what you do in 2024.
I got hooked on Paddy from the Budgeteers. I'm not sure why, but it got me choked up a little to hear about the update on the current status of your relationship with the other two members. Something about the passage of time is sooo sad 😭
Hey Paddy. Me and my girlfriend have been watching and enjoying your videos for a couple of years now. I wanted to give you the feedback that I think maybe the reason you like the Siem Reap video so much is because you just had fun. You were singing and enjoying and it felt really natural and we really enjoyed it too. I'd dare to say that sometimes when you try too hard (to be professional or entertaining etc) it comes at the expense that we lose a tiny bit if your personality in the process. I hope this helpful for you to hear and hope it does not come across as a criticism. Love your work man, and look forward to the adventures that follow. All the best, From Stephen and Praew in Chiang Mai.
paddy please start making videos in thailand again... it was the main reason why I started watching your channel... so travel around in thailand more often between your bigger trips so you can see miss P more often ;)
I am so sad to read so many negative comments, because he puts so much effort in all his travels and videos! And I believe someone that never vlogged, doesn’t even know how much time and effort it takes to create those videos. It’s not only filming. It’s editing, adding effects, text, graphic stuff, voiceover, coloring, searching hours for the right music, and so much more! And this takes like forever!!! Paddy your channel is amazing! We follow you since such a long time and we were happy with each and every video of yours ❤ Excited for what more is to come 😊
@paddydoyle I just wanted to say 'thanks' for producing all of your content, it played a massive part in our planning for our Thai trip in December 2023 for our first wedding anniversary and my wife's 50th birthday. After watching your vids we booked into Panvaree (which was spectacular- we saw wild elephants on the morning boat ride) saw the sea for the first time from Khaothong Hill, went to the night market at Ao Nang, got rain soaked on the 5 islands tour and then found paradise on Koh Mak. Would have been great to meet you in person and buy you a drink so have done the next best thing. Look forward to seeing more content.
my twin brother and I are Thais and we're planning to retire in Thailand soon. We regularly watch your videos when we get together at his place. When you left Thailand, we were actually worried that you hadn't seen your videos for a while. Our conversation was something like... Wonder where Paddy is.... Just want to know thank you for making your wonderful videos and letting us to be a part of your life... PS... December 24th, 2023 currently staying with a friend and his wife in Bangkok, the weather is incredibly cool at 70F
Your "ranting" in Dalat was a gift to all travellers, as everyone is going to have down days while travelling for a length of time, especially solo. Your share will help others normalize this reality. Thanks, Paddy. You're remarkable!
We're arriving Bangkok mid January for two months (our 6th trip to Thailand) but are exploring areas that we've never been before because of your videos. Can't wait to explore southern and northern Thailand. Enjoy your videos and thanks.
I used to be an avid traveler with work in a different context, so I understand the beauty and frustrations of it. My only advise would be to slow down and make sure you enjoy your moments, if you travel to much you will burn out, but in your case it's your livelihood. So I went through a phase that I eventually stopped, because of the burn out but it didn't take long for me, to realize that the pace is the critical part... so for me I take less but longer trips, to stop and smell the roses more. Balance is key, Good Luck!! and I love the content, and look forward to all of the adventures!!
Hi Paddy. Being occassionally frustrated is just part of life. I like that you make Thailand your home. I'm m considering the move myself. Thanks for the great content.
One little idea Paddy, if you need a lil refresh & home time with Miss P; many of your viewers inc my wife & I are fans of all things Thailand. How about some walking adventures around Bangkok? Walking would give us a bit more of a "zoomed in" view than biking. And I'm sure there are loads of quirky hidden gems to be found around random corners of the city (also a handy little fitness topup!)
First off, absolutely love your channel and wish you continued success and happy adventuring! If you’re still taking suggestions from the audience for 2024 😉…. I first came across your channel with your Thailand content. Maybe an idea (to keep you closer to where your heart is) would be to do some finer grain videos on Thailand and Bangkok in particular? Some off the beaten track / day in the life stuff. The videos of yours that I like the most are the most spontaneous ones. Just you walking along or out on your bike having an improvised adventure. I still appreciate the effort behind the bike planned things but your personality and knowledge really shine on those more spontaneous videos where you take us along with you. I’m a bit biased since it’s the Thailand stuff I like most anyway tho. Cheers!
So lovely to see you again Paddy!! To be completely honest, I’m a little envious of you!😱😍 age and health issues prevent me doing many things. However, you keep alive in me my interest in all things travel. Thankyou so very much, and I relish each and every video from you. Have a happy and safe Christmas from Perth Western Australia 🦘🇦🇺
Thanks for 2023 Paddy, obviously not all adventures are bangers, but I for one appreciate what you do. I try to do vlogging, but after less than two weeks away, I just want to go home to my Wife. The fact that you did that for seven months is amazing. It’s sad that Lina is no longer in contact. The Budgeteers was one of the best travel channels out there.
Thanks for many great video’s Paddy! Your Thailand series pushed me to finally buy a bike and drive around Thailand myself and I’m loving the adventures! You’ve also inspired me to dip my toe in creating for RUclips. I always tune in when you release a new video and I love following your adventures, even though I think your Thailand content was your best. With the rate you’ve been uploading and traveling to new places I can imagine that you get burned out. I can imagine doing another year of Thailand content next year gives you the opportunity to take it a bit more easy, and I believe it might also be more popular with your viewers. Maybe you don’t need to push it as hard as you’ve been doing to be able to make a living from your channel. Now that you’re well established some focus on your health, and having fun, is well deserved! Seeing that I live just down the road from you (Phra Khanong), see you around neighbor!
Life happens, it does not get any easier if success comes along the way. Just more responsibilities, lots of hard work and things will get compromised and I wish you a great journey along the way Paddy 🙏.
Have really loved every episode… new and old. I’m still trying to make sure I’ve seen the older content; including some of The Budgeteers. From couch surfing (lol) to where you are today….loving the journey!
Hi Paddy, thank you very much for inspiring me with your videos. I traveled all countries in South east Asia for 8 months and visited sooo many places from your videos which I wouldn’t be able to find without your help. The best one I must say was the Mt.Batur hike on Bali ( without a guide 🙃 ), Dragon Crest mountain viewpoint near Krabi and Bottle beach viewpoint in Koh Phangan. Keep doing great work and I am sure I will follow your footsteps on my next adventure.
Thank you for your Vietnam Series!!!!! We are here now on holiday from the USA. We are heading to Bangkok in a few days. We would love to buy you a beer to say thank you. What you say Paddy?
Love your videos. Just bought your N & S Thailand books. I first visited Chiang Mai Feb 4, 1974. I have been going back, over and over. You opened my eyes to all the other provinces that I have overlooked. Your Laos series has piqued my interest in going there. After I do my 50-year walk out from the Chiang Mai Train Station in Feb, I'm headed to Lao for 60+ days of wondering. Tim and Marisa Notier (2up and Overloaded) just spent 5 days with us here in Java Indonesia. Don't know if you have followed them but they roam like you do. Thanks for the shout-out to the Renegade sports bar in Chiang Mai. An old Navy buddy of mine, Jerry Butteris, is a part owner. Anyway, travel on and thanks for your wonderful Channel.
Well Mr Paddy Doyle thank you for another year, I first discovered your channel during covid with the travel through all the Thai provenances . I have not missed an episode yet. I'm a 60 year old Aussie guy, yes you can sometimes be a whinging pom, but you are a natural for entertaining. You are part of the RUclips comfort food like Flora and Note, Mark Wines, Ryan & Mo, now in lao, I wish you and Miss Pee a merry Christmas and look forward to the next adventures
Paddy, ageing and fewer friends, but an increase in acquaintances is I believe, quite normal. That said, both are very important to balance one’s sanity. lol. As for advice as a thought, your skill at both storytelling and capturing what most of us would have an interest in, is amazing/extremely interesting! Have you ever considered reaching out to television producers/National Geographic to enable securing both a stable/great income and suitable time structure for your “personal” priorities? BTW- Canada does have some unique and interesting parts….just a hint. All the best for a wonderful Merry Christmas and your health in the New Year!
ah thanks mate, from what I see TV giants doing... they tend to hire celebrities from music and TV to host travel shows, they don't seem to seek out the independent guys like me
excited for your south american videos! i remember I first saw your channels when you went to el salvador, because I was getting ready to meet my family for the first time there and I was nervous because there was not much travel videos there at the time and your videos where the only ones that came up. keep it up your videos are soo nice and its the reality of traveling, not everything goes instagram perfect like you say lol, but i like when you keep it real and make the most of it!!
I've watched less of your videos this year, not being interested in some of the countries you visited, but I kept following you because of... you, Paddy! Keep doing your best and the resuls will continuously be amazing. Best of luck for 2024 and a great Christmas for your "teerak" and you!
I watched all of your Asia adventures and I loved it. Even your poorest videos are better than most youtubers average videos imo. Can’t wait to follow you next year!
Maybe he is stressed because his priorities have changed. It could be that he wants to start a family and stay more in one place. Possibly shorter trips (1-2 weeks every 2-3 months), planned collabs in his travel window, pack in important parts of a shorter travel period and not feel like he has to do everything at once, cut up more videos to release when he is not traveling, etc. As we get older, stress is sometimes a sign for a change subconsciously. It might help him talking to a therapist/legit life coach to bounce ideas off them. He might also want to consult with a nutritionist/trainer. Sometimes nutrition/exercise can have a profound affect on the mind/body/mood. Maybe plan nutrition/exercise before travel so he doesnt have a crash during travel. If he is eating healthy food and exercising in Bangkok....and then he eats bad/not exercise when traveling.....that can be a bad yo-yo effect. Don't kill me in the comments lol....He asked for ideas. Just trying to help from experience in my travels. I would suggest having someone to talk to and not emotional dumping on Ms P. Men have held stuff in for so long that most women can't handle it if we dump everything bottled up for years onto them. A professional person would be better possibly so the home can be a place of comfort. Many women say they want their men to open up....but most really don't the deep stuff. Just being honest. Good luck in his journeys.
What an enjoyable insight into the 'behind the scenes Paddy'... Love your work. In Palawan / ElNido / Coron area now with my Northern Thailand GF. I am introducing your stuff to her. 😅
Jeez, I've been following you and the Budgeteers since the India series and I watch yand I was left wondering what happend to Lina tbh. It's like you said in the other answer: once you get older friendships change and the number of friends is decreasing. To me that's the worst part of getting older. I still work a normal job but I consider travelling my hobby but my life is completly different than my friends lives.and now at 35, I can't enjoy travelling as much as I did when I was younger nor do I want a family... it's so difficult being in your 30s and see everything is shifting. Happy holidays
Take a rest, recover and enjoy the things in life that mean alot, one of my subscribers and I was talking about you and your channel, always bring that great content 😊
Agree the cowboy video was the best by far have watched it about 4 times . Good old 90s -2000s music and having fun. I want to vist just to spend day riding around with cowboy. Then visit vietnam and finally koh samui
Hi Paddy Doyle I was wondering have you ever gotten Food Poisoning while Traveling to different Countries and which Countries did you get sick in??????? Looking forward to more Awesome Adventures in 2024🙂👍
Paddy take a break please look after your wellbeing mate . I wish you a wonderful festival season and a happy hogmanay best wishes from Bonnie Scotland.
Hi Paddy,I am sure I passed you on Soi 22 yesterday,we both looked at each other.I am gutted I didn’t say hello, difficult, you don’t want to feel a fool if it’s the wrong person.I am living in Park 24. All the best😊
In relation to nothing, I recently had a very brief chat with your dad, when he joined our local Facebook group! He said at the time you were on your way to Antarctica.
Hi Paddy, Really looking forward to your south America trip. I am thinking of going there and will be an avid watcher of your vlogs. Merry Christmas to you and Mrs P.
That was my question about keeping up with your mates. Thanks for the authentic answer. I'll be in Phrom Pong over Christmas. Buy you beers at Hair of the Dog?
You are great Paddy D. all Your travel experiences you shared 2023 have been just amazing !✌❤!❤👍 Thy !The World is round and there is so much more to discover as long as you have the excitement to go on.Happy Christmas days, relaxe, New Year is coming !🎉
Question: have u ever thought about being a tour guide? It would keep you closer to Miss P. I’m coming to Thialand 2024 & need help on where to go & what to see. Would love to have u show me Chiang Mia area. 🙏
cant wait for the next series of Videos, Ive got those glasses.!! never seen them B4 until now. My sister got them for me as a Birthday gift. Where did you get yours from mine are made in Denmark according to the label
Hi Paddy, I’m a new subscriber and I really enjoy your videos. I discovered you when was researching a trip to Asia. We have motorcycled thru most of Vietnam except the north. But for our next trip I’m torn between Northern Thailand, Northern Vietnam, or Loas. Which was your favourite?
Hiya Paddy. You have been a busy bee. Loved watching your adventures. Thank you for all your hard work. Been a great year. Good luck trying to find a balance. So you can be at home more. I hope your friend from the budgeteers is ok. I have the same phone. Amazing quality. For pictures and videos. Wishing you and Miss P a wonderful Christmas. Thank you for all the great videos.
On your camera equipment paddy, I have just recently purchased the dji pocket 3 , have a look at this camera, pretty awesome bit of kit and found it very usable, especially with the nd filters
Hi Paddy, I'm loving your channel, I've only discovered it recently, but I'm going through the Vietnam series now (in preparation for my upcoming trip) and I'm loving it. I'd really like to know, when you first started travelling and on RUclips, how did you make the money to be able to afford your travels? Keep up the awesome content!
Merry Christmas Paddy! Loved your recap! So.. when you coming down to the Florida Keys to drive and camp along the Overseas Highway and party in Key West!??! You got a couple of Floridians here ready to welcome you and take the amazing trip across the Keys !! Just sayin! Love you!
Paddy you are awesome. I could not do what you do. Thinking of making content is so stressful too me. You do a superb job, always. Carry on. Merry Christmas too You and Ms P.
Wow, what a year you have had! OR that we have all had by being able to watch your experience through a screen. Great Q&A, very authentic and interesting to watch. Have a great Christmas with loved ones, and we are looking forward for the videos to continue. Here is to a good 2024 🍻
Really enjoyed this behind the scenes look! My partner and I are traveling currently and coming to Bangkok soon. Any tips on where to stay, where to go etc? I really trust you as a source and someone who seems to have many of the same values as myself.
I really LOVE the Phrom Phong area, stay at the Carlton or similar, explore the malls and parks, street food, and pubs in that area (you might see me, that's my neighborhood)
Hola Paddy this is Damon and Todd. We wanted to say thank you so much for a great year of adventures and travels. We are excited to listen for your next update for 2024. We also wanted to wish you and MsP and great Christmas and prosperous New Year. We are sending you two positive vibes to work out a great balance where you both can do want you two love and still have an successful relationship. Paddy if you ever get back to Mexico please look us up! We are in San Miguel De Allende, Mexico❤👍
That's not a tripod mate, it's a light stand. A proper tripod will do the job far better, without that long unstable pole! Carbon fibre models are best, but can be pricey. Manfrotto and Gitzo are good brands from way back.
Paddy! We have loved your videos. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I hope you get to visit our area of the world - the South Pacific. We are in the Cook Islands! Hopefully we see you down in this neck of the woods sometime. Have a great Christmas and wishing you all th best for 2024!!
Hi Paddy! I've been a fan since the Budgeteers in Central and South America. Just seen you have this solo channel by searching for SE Asian vloggers. A couple of questions if i might, one more business-related, and one more personal. First, I've been vicariously traveling with volggers for some time and there seems to be two schools of thought. One is go big like you guys do with the drones and all the high tech video, etc to get that cinematic effect. Others say be basic, use the phone or go-pro and people will be more natural and spontaneous. Truthfully, i appreciate both. I would have never thought Phnom Penh had such a skyline without those shots! Do you find people react differently when you talk to them like a news crew (for lack of a better term), vs a guy with a cell phone? Secondly, how do you prioritize? I have spent a life of angst, one part craving the security of known people, places, and things, another part seeing a road and just wanting to go where it takes me. In my 20's i hitchhiked and took greyhound over 44 US states. Since then till now in my early 60's I've sat and wondered what i am missing. In that time I've accumulated a wonderful daughter, a best friend / roommate, and 5 cats i love like family. Willie Nelson said when he's home he wants to be on the road, and vice versa. What would you say to the 20 year olds who are facing these questions? respect man
Yeah the equipment has an effect on how the people in public react for sure. I find having a blend of bigger camera and phone works great! I have learnt that shorter trips work best, 10 - 20 days away, knowing you are coming 'home' makes burn out less likely
Editing Mode means not Holidays... I am on Holiday @ the moment in Hua Hin and in Bkk from 26th to 30th. NewYear willbe in Khon Kaen... Wish you a wonderful christmas -> relax
Hi Paddy love love all of your videos. Interested in doing a( Loop) with my son 29 me 60 not that experienced on scooters . On the bucket list just not sure which one would be the most suitable live to here your advice.
I enjoyed all your adventures but wondering if breaking videos in shorter segments might help to lessen the amount of travel you would have to do. For me, shorter videos is easier to watch too and still get something done at home. :)
Hi paddy nice to see you back in thailand. Just an idea why dont you travel one month the next spend with your partner.there is a family on you tube which do this
I would prefer more personal videos that show more of the behind the scenes stuff. Your videos felt overly positive this year. Like as if everything had to be perfect. Which I feel is a bit boring …
Hello Paddy!! You are back for Xmas??🎊 How long will you stay? TH miss you so bad. Ps. Antarctica series is what I’m thrilled for. My dream goal.❤🎉 Merry XMas, Paddy.😇🪽👼
How was your 2023? any big plans for 2024?
Bangkok, Thailand in July!
Travelling South East Asia for the next 9 months we hope!! Thailand in March, Vietnam now until then
finally watch and use the editing class I bought LOL and hopefully start uploading more from Japan and elsewhere
Travelling New Zealand currently and will be hopping over to Thailand (via Guangzhou) in a few days. See ya in Bangkok 😜
I'm 69 this year but when i grow up i want to be just like you. A world traveller who shares and has a huge heart. Thank you Paddy

Next year you will have to update everything in thailand, to a "Thailand after Covid" because it feels like everything has changed.

happy to hear that
Paddy I always think it was such a great move to separate from the budgeteers brand, good to see your own channel doing so well.

yeah I hope so too!

In the meantime check out Bangkok Pat's channel, he does exactly that, brilliantly.
That is such a bummer that Lina hasn't communicated much. Hopefully one more Budgeteers adventure is in the cards!
I hope she is ok WE LOVE HER
My God, I can't believe how much the channel has evolved since the covid days. Well done & congratulations.

The budgeters are the best, I miss the budgeters
Thanks for the message mate, appreciate it
Maybe do daily vlogs of of living in Bangkok for a while. You can spend more time with miss P and show us every day life. Sometimes simple is better.

Pushing this back up to the top of comments. Any chance for a connect in Bangkok?
I’ve loved your content throughout 2023! You should make more Bangkok content! Happy Christmas and New year :)
Thanks for the nice review of your 2023 travels and life update. Have a safe and happy holiday season and best wishes for 2024.

Happy for your success, keep on doing what you are doing.
I've watched less of your videos this year, not being interested in some of the countries you visited, but I kept following you because of... you, Paddy! Keep doing your best and the resuls will continuously be amazing.
Best of luck for 2024 and a great Christmas for your "teerak" and you!
Welcome back! I hope to get you watching more in 2024!
Same here, but looking forward to S America.
my wife and I love your channel paddy - my old boss, who settled in Koh Samui, put me on to you over a year ago
Stopping in Siem Reap for 3 nights on our way to Thailand next year. Already booked Cowboy for 2 days because of your video. Thank You!
Sounds great!
Cowboy was your future life partner, we all saw that. Be who you are and true to yourself, don’t lose it. Happy Christmas…
Had me at the worst meal of the year answer ahah

Hi Paddy, Really looking forward to your south America trip. I am thinking of going there and will be an avid watcher of your vlogs. Merry Christmas to you and Mrs P.

Thanks Nicky for ALL the messages of love and support ALL YEAR
@@PaddyDoyle.
Thanks a lot for all the nice content this year. My favorite was the Dolomites.
On your camera equipment paddy, I have just recently purchased the dji pocket 3 , have a look at this camera, pretty awesome bit of kit and found it very usable, especially with the nd filters
And just for the record, I thought your Switzerland and Dolomites videos were awesome pal 👍
@@Solohikeruk he has the pocket 2 and used it for his Phuket old town vlog. Haven’t seen him using it since that one vlog.
Been to Thailand yet?
Not yet no@@AmericanInThailand
That Ha giang loop is amazing, we just did it in October. Best trip ever😃
happy that you are back in thailand
I loved the video of you and Cowboy and your Switzerland trip. Excited to see what's to come 🌎
More to come!
Merry Christmas Paddy!
Loved your recap!
So.. when you coming down to the Florida Keys to drive and camp along the Overseas Highway and party in Key West!??!
You got a couple of Floridians here ready to welcome you and take the amazing trip across the Keys !! Just sayin! Love you!
Always a joy to watch, Paddy! And an inspiration/motivation for us 📽️ So thanks! 👍🏻
Thanks 👍
Good luck in 2024 Paddy! We love you 😘
Paddy you are awesome. I could not do what you do. Thinking of making content is so stressful too me. You do a superb job, always. Carry on. Merry Christmas too You and Ms P.
Thanks mate
Wow, what a year you have had! OR that we have all had by being able to watch your experience through a screen.
Great Q&A, very authentic and interesting to watch. Have a great Christmas with loved ones, and we are looking forward for the videos to continue. Here is to a good 2024 🍻
Hi Paddy thank you for sharing all beautiful videos. We are always love your channel, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 🥳.
We are in San Miguel De Allende, Mexico❤👍
ah thanks guys! Miss ya and Merry Christmas to you too!
That's not a tripod mate, it's a light stand. A proper tripod will do the job far better, without that long unstable pole! Carbon fibre models are best, but can be pricey. Manfrotto and Gitzo are good brands from way back.
When are you going to brazil? would love seeing u travel through brazil
Paddy! We have loved your videos. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I hope you get to visit our area of the world - the South Pacific. We are in the Cook Islands! Hopefully we see you down in this neck of the woods sometime. Have a great Christmas and wishing you all th best for 2024!!
Maybe one day! Merry Christmas!
I looked for cowboy in Sien Riep, and I couldn't find him. That video in Angkor Wat was really spontaneous.
Damn i love this channel.
Can't have it all.
Happy new year 🎊
👍Thank you for picking Sri Lanka as number 1.
Just an idea why dont you travel one month the next spend with your partner.there is a family on you tube which do this
If you plan on coming to the United States, let me know! There are so many unique locations here that can be done on a budget!
You should do a video of your home town back in the UK!
Antartica ... can't wait for these videos
I would prefer more personal videos that show more of the behind the scenes stuff. Your videos felt overly positive this year. Like as if everything had to be perfect. Which I feel is a bit boring …
I really did love your video with Cowboy. So original.
On the intro kept waiting for you to say "Chimwag . . ." 😺😺😺
Nice Elton glasses, free Miss P…
I also thought your video with Cowboy in Siem Riep was the most enjoyable.
Hello Paddy!! You are back for Xmas??🎊 How long will you stay? TH miss you so bad.
Ps. Antarctica series is what I’m thrilled for. My dream goal.❤🎉
Merry XMas, Paddy.😇🪽👼
Love love your videos! Take care Mate
I like to hear stories from thailand and people you meet leaving there...
I mean living btw
