Hello. I’m a Bahamian🇧🇸 who actually worked at Atlantis for over 5 years, and I just wanted to say that the water park rates are based on the season. Around this time of year, is considered high season, and so the rates would be at its highest. Also because the park accommodates all of Atlantis guests, along with Comfort suites and the cruise ship guest bookings (which can sometimes be up to 7 ships within a day) the rates for walk up are inflated a lot of times as guise to dissuade you from going. This helps the park from being jammed pack. Sorry you weren’t able to enjoy this time around!

Comfort inn Suites is a great buy. 5 minute walk from the entrance to Atlantis. You get full access to the Atlantis Resort and you can make charges at Atlantis to your room at Comfort Inn Suites. Price is great, usually you can get a room for under $200 a night with all your guests having access to Atlantis. Food is very expensive at Atlantis. .Comfort Inn Suites has a free breakfast buffet with eggs and bacon/sausage along with everything else. Also, there is a strip mall right across the street with a restaurant, and small grocery store. Rooms are a good size with a couch and sitting area in addition to the bed(s) and a half size fridge.
You are not cheap, you have common sense! Been going to Atlantis on cruise ship visits for many years. Do a little casino, go down to the yacht area get a slice of expensive but great pizza and a beer. Sit and enjoy thinking I am hanging around my yacht LOL. Take little walk over get coffee in the outside walk around area by yachts, then bak to ships. Walk around town, shop, back to ship for snack. George in NY
YES!!! I have been waiting on your opinion about Atlantis. We are debating on what to do in Nassau when we go and Atlantis looks nice but it's so pricey!!
It's $250 right now because it's easter. It's typically $130, and before the pandemic (2019), I went for $30-$50 because they had a sale. The high price is to deter large crowds (though the waterpark is inclusive with staying at the resort), as we are still in Covid times.
Jay, my best friend and I stayed at the Atlantis when they first first opened. There was only one hotel, not the 3 or 4 wings they have now, no water park, 2 restaurants. Still expensive but nothing like it is today!
I've been to Bahamas Atlantis and you're right it's beautiful but extremely expensive. Also the short time you get to spend at a port of call is prohibitive. Ship to shore excursions are very expensive too. If you want an experience and you have limited time expect to pay and pay dearly.
On our recent trip to The Bahamas (Jan 22) we noticed a lot of the shops had not reopened yet, and the ones that had were raising their prices to catch up. But there is a big difference in needing to raise prices and gouging. Thanks for the honest insight. Enjoying your channel as always!
Jay, right on. I would never pay that kind of money for a few hours either. We paid $59/person to go to Margaritaville Beach Resort, which you also had a video on. We just walked there from the ship.
I have done Atlantis and you are absolutely right. It is a beautiful waterpark but incredibly overpriced! I loved the river with waves and rapids but outside of that just an average park with a great view. Maybe around $150 for a full day I would be ok with. I personally think Volcano Bay is a way better water park.
Hi I didn't know you was going there , my family is from the Bahamas, could tell where to shop, eat, and buy where the locals shop. When I go over I call family members, hang out with them, the tourist thing is over priced!
I agree - we thought about going there on our cruise, but it was too expensive. They charge you the same price as a hotel room, and as you note RC only stays at the port for a minute
Wow, don't blame you brother. That's outrageous!!!! When you go back get a recommendation to hang with a local. They can show you places to go that are reasonably priced and entertaining and cultural. ( I'm from the Bahamas 🇧🇸) Back in the day there was a program called People to People where you could experience the real Nassau/Paradise island with a local, it was really nice and my Grandmother did it for years!!!! No overpriced touristy crap!!!
I think that Atlantis now charges to look at their fish aquarium. That used to be free. We took pictures on the throne and hung out in casino for a bit. Then we caught a boat taxi back to the ship.
My last cruise was in 2018 on Carnival. We couldn't dock in Turks and Caicos so we went to Nassau instead. I was so hyped to go. My paid dad paid for my husband and I to do an excursion at Atlantis. He knew I always wanted to go there. The excursion was nice. We had access to their aquarium and the beach but what spoiled the experience a bit was the basic ass food we were served that costed $75. Sliders, a bag of Lay's plain ass chips and a pop...for $75. I still get pissed when I think about it.
Atlantis charges base on the season hopefully if you get to come back In September you'll be able to get cheaper price and you always have Bahamar water park as well
Appreciate your honest assessments. We’ve been to Nassau a few times. Like you, not my favorite island. This time we stayed on the ship and enjoyed the lack of hustle and bustle. Appreciate the spa discounts.
The last time I went to Atlantis was in 2014, and we were on a Royal Caribbean shore excursion and I took my whole family (eight of us) for less that $250.00! The drinks and food we purchased exceeded the 250.00 though 😁.
I see you point with Atlantis especially being on a short excursion. 250$ is crazy!!!! I personally would rather stay there to enjoy everything and get mymoneys worth.
You are NOT cheap and neither is Atlantis! They are not Disneyworld. I sure don't blame you for passing on the Water Park. I can't imagine what they have inside for that price. I guess it's for people who have more Dollars than Sense. I might go to the Casino and explore, if they don't charge admission. The Restaurant Row you visited looks good. That's where I would spend my money. Good tip about the Water taxi, I will always go for that vs land. Great Video, and tips. Thanks

George in NY
we did a nice day at junkanoo beach. $5 taxi ride pp. We recommend the Blue Zone for massages.
Saying this though - Atlantis is just a very costly resort. (I'm Bahamian by the way)
I remember my kids going there about 10 years ago. They paid $110 each to get in. I was shocked.
Ok J....best video ever! Over here lol watching you hopping a motorcycle ride with a local! The SMILE on your face!😂
Hands down you are the best!
I like your honesty regarding prices.
I agree with you, J. Too expensive! Ooooo, I'm the first to comment! Thanks for your video! 💜
I agree with you! That’s a bit much for a few hours of fun
You should have checked how much was the cheapest room that gives access to the park and aquarium. It might had been about the same.
That's a crazy price!!! Fun is free that $5 taxi to a beach with a food hut....and done
I can't justify spending that either!!!!
Hi I didn't know you was going there , my family is from the Bahamas, could tell where to shop, eat, and buy where the locals shop.
When I go over I call family members, hang out with them, the tourist thing is over priced!
There is another water park that’s less talked about in Nassau and that is a lot less expensive too
It is no match to Atlantis
I knew Paradise Island (Atlantis) was expensive, but that is just crazy
Bahamas overall is very expensive. I feel like holidaying there is nottttttt people counting their coins.
Looks like a fun-filled day, J. Enjoy, my friend 👍🏻
Totally agree! Too expensive! Appreciate that you share your cruises with us, love to cruise!!
Feed the positive, starve the negative .Its your channel you can do what you want :)
Thank you for your honest content, I appreciate it. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I just went to Atlantis in March. Breakfast was $70. for 2 people. When you purchased water (a no named brand) they add tax and tip !
Sounds like Wynn in Vegas
I think that Atlantis now charges to look at their fish aquarium. That used to be free. We took pictures on the throne and hung out in casino for a bit. Then we caught a boat taxi back to the ship.
WOW!! 😵 $250??? Ummmm....you can call me cheap or whatever! That is way too much. No...
And BTW...Thanks for being honest & transparent! 👍🏾
Great vlog! Very entertaining!!
Ballers paradise my bwoyy🇧🇸🔥
It is expensive, Welcome to life in The Bahamas.

Went to Bahamian Club a few years ago. dinner for 2. Spiny Lobster, Steak, Lamb, Sausage, perfectly carmalized onions. $120. Best meal of my life.
Atlantis charges base on the season hopefully if you get to come back In September you'll be able to get cheaper price and you always have Bahamar water park as well
Thanks for the info of the Atlantis. It did sound pricey. Especially with the overcast. I can’t wait to see your dance video.
My friends and I are going on the Freedom of the Seas in July. Can't wait. Where was the fish fry?
It's a bunch of restaurants on the street. They are collectively called Fish Fry. The food is decent.
Omg conch fritters and grouper, I'm so jealous
That's my cuz at the Daiquiri stand.
Yea. I went last year. It was $150pp online. I loved the water park. AMAZING!!! However if price went up that much...crazy. You dont even get lockers.
#10 bus will take you anywhere you want to go
Great review! Thank you for sharing. Love transparency and honesty.
Okayyyyy looking good in the all black ❤
This was a very entertaining video thanks for sharing! I agree with you about the Bahamas and Atlantis as well. Cheers.
That’s not cheap you are right
I'm with you it's not being cheap. They're changing Nassau for Bimini....I definitely will go for the food and drinks 🍸
Appreciate your honest assessments. We’ve been to Nassau a few times. Like you, not my favorite island. This time we stayed on the ship and enjoyed the lack of hustle and bustle. Appreciate the spa discounts.
I’ve been to Atlantis twice (2011 and 2014), and had a great time. I spent the $$ because I wanted to enjoy myself but it is quite pricey
This was a great and honest review. Going to the Bahamas (Atlantis) on Thursday so I appreciate this! Thank you!!
Thanks
