It appears that they are using the image and fandom of K-pop to earn money. Based on their introduction, it seems that they attend Korean K-pop events and present themselves as a K-pop cover group to gain popularity and attract subscribers. Initially, they only focused on K-pop, but then they started incorporating J-pop as well. This way, they can attract Japanese subscribers who are skeptical of K-pop or gain additional financial benefits. Such behavior is entirely in line with XG's marketing tactics. They shamelessly promote themselves as X-POP to the Korean public, claiming to be on par with Korea's 4th generation K-POP groups in interviews with foreign media and artists. They even introduce themselves differently to their Japanese fans, calling themselves J-POP and appealing to a sense of patriotism as a J-POP group that has entered the Korean K-POP market. It's like a Korean restaurant advertising itself as serving only Korean food but then mixing in Japanese dishes, which is a deceptive practice. Thankfully, thanks to XG, these types of RUclipsrs are being exposed, which is a relief. They attempt to justify their actions by claiming they're for "diversity and enjoyment," but can you imagine a Korean restaurant offering Japanese food to customers who expected Korean cuisine and expecting that excuse to be accepted? If you want to attract people interested in K-pop to your RUclips channel, respect and politeness are essential. Remember that this includes not just K-pop artists but also K-pop fans.
