oh jeez i was making a playlist as you commented this dghjSFHks i'll recommend just a couple then; Smoke Sprite by Soyoon & RM Instinct by OnlyOneOf Call Me Baby by EXO happy listening to all 700+ songs because we are all insane

I wish he and the members would talk more about MJ, especially in Dynamite you see the MJ-ness is real! And their butter breakdance too. I wish they could speak about their inspiration.
@@pinkcherry9695 Of course ! It's just a coincidence that I started getting interested in SVT right when they had that comeback. (I really love their older songs btw, I was singing Adore U a few minutes before seeing your comment ^^)
@@sallyfield2895 God I second you, I followed them since debut and this makes me feel old af even though I was in high school back when it came out lmao. (I was a massive Exo-L and BABY right before Bulletproof came out). Although their rookie years/before getting super mainstrream are my favourite (I'd say up to TMBMIL pt2), apparently people think their first singles were cringe TuT
NO FR W STANDING NEXT TO YOU i literally showed my family and friends that song and was like "this is bringing back good radio music, not just kpop but pop as a whole" it felt so good to hear music like that again
yeah tbh, Standing Next To You isn't really kpop, it's just pop, pop that's done really well. Jungkook's whole album "Golden" is amazing pop. If you haven't already, you should check out Seven and 3D as well. Also check out his Times Square concert, he did an amazing job
kpop is so diverse that almost everyone is bound to find something they vibe with, whatever their taste or genre of choice is, at some point too, you'll start to enjoy others who aren't always your cup of tea
@@MariaChuiyes but 2:50 they said turbulence is what really sent them down the rabbit hole and made ateez their ult im not denying jk’s standing next to you performance OR svt rock with you which they also said made them think “oh shit kpop sounds like This???”
@@asimplestrawberry yeah ik she/he likes ateez i love them too who wouldnt i just saying that according to the video the first and the one who opened that door to kpop was jungkook performance thats all
Jungkook been turning haters into fan for years! Especially after dreamers and his performance at the World Cup… so many soccer fans! Then with seven…. And of course standing next to you…. Absolutely iconic!!!!!
THE STANDING NEXT TO YOU to KPOP STAN PIPELINE NEEDS TO BE STUDIED BY SCIENTISTS BECAUSE SAME. I'M LITERALLY TWO MONTHS IN AND HAD ALMOST THE EXACT SAME JOURNEY
Jungkook was my gateway to kpop as well. I stumbled upon a kdrama edit with 'still with you' as bgm and I was like "smn tell me what this song is?!" It still remains my fav song and JK my ult bias
6:30 This is the point where Atiny fell in love with the red haired back up dancer! Stay have Umbrella Holding Man, Army have The Bodyguard, Engene got The Manager so Atiny joined the club with The Red Haired Back Up Dancer. How we looked away from San I can't fathom but I blame Hongjoong saying 'no other oppas' and failing to clarify he included the BB Trippin crew, the staff and other KQ artists. We love a good loophole and theoretical discussions because they taught us to by giving us their lore to debate. I get the Guerrilla thing. In one of the cities that they played, I want to say Madrid but I am not 100% sure on that, they set off enough shouting and stomping for it to register on the seismology equipment and put emergency services on standby. I read it on one of the reputable kpop news sites and laughed so hard because it just makes sense that of any kpop song it'd be Guerrilla. Even non Atiny at various kcon events go mad and scream the dance break at the end.
oh gosh, ateez are my ults too but the first group I ever picked as ults were dreamcatcher!! they’re a girl group with a very metal/rock inspired sound so you might like that, I recommend chase me, boca, scream, you and I, and ootd!!!
Been a Kpop fan for almost 10 years now so I’ve heard a lot but ateez literally changed my life and my perspective on Kpop… they became my ults so quick. Love them fr.
Same bro, same... I'm a multistan but once i got to know ateez, I'm still stuck with for years...like their music, choreography, comeback concept and everything really catch my attention plus they also make the best latino vibes ever!
Jungkook getting people into k-pop since he was 15 ICON!! U should check out his full album "golden" song "stilk with you" "euphoria" "dreamers" !! Also listen to Gidle "tomboy" "queencard" "nxde" "eyes roll" "superlady" "allergy"
lol that was fun. I am an old atiny and also old kpop fan, I suggest you to check Block b but listen to their albuns, like Ateez they have wonderful b sides. Bastarz Zero for conduct, you gonna love. BAP, Beast, Monsta X. Girl Groups 4 minute, 2ne1 and FX those are iconic. I never listened to a lot of girl groups but those are my faves from older kpop times. Ateez gives me all I need in music honestly, they discography has a bit of all, I can just leave playing on random and will be awesome. I like songs from other groups too, there are tons of great groups but I am taken lol Still listen and support others streaming, but yea atiny is deep rooted now. If you have a chance when they announce their tour dates after coachella, please go, you wont regret. Is gonna be a bloodbath fight for the tikets but I am a metal fan, went to tons of concerts, Iron Maiden included but Ateez concert is honestly on my top.
Oh wow hearing ateez up w topping iron maiden is wilddd... was already planning to buy tickets loll terrified about the pricing tho ahhh thanks for the recs!!
@@inthevents19 Before I get jumped by any metal head lol I grew up with heavy metal and I went to tons of concerts when I was a teen in the 90's and I saw many of them in their prime. When I say is their level is cause the energy is insane, the crowd response is amazing so the ambience leave nothing behind to a top metal concert that is super fun ( for people who love it of course) and the singing quality is really high. They are theather boys, is really a great concert and you can see they enjoy being on stage. So the comparing is like that lol You wont regret. In my country we sang all songs along even if it was wrong lol and was really awesome. The stadium actually shaked. In wonderland I really got affraid we were gonna crash cause people were just too hyped.
@@inthevents19 Seconding the "metalhead here who is also a long-time fan of kpop, huge ATINY, and puts ATEEZ live about Iron Maiden" comments lol I have everything good to say about ATEEZ! EXO also, another band with loads of appear for metalheads, SHINee also of course the kings. For me personal I'm also deeply into Super Junior, NCT, Seventeen, A.C.E, ONEUS, and OnlyOneOf
If you like band stuff, there are some great bands in kpop. For example Day6, The Rose, Lucy, Xdinary Heroes. I'd think you'd like Sweet Chaos by Day6, definitely hard hitting but I might be a bit biased there haha. Back to you by The Rose is also great. LUCY has a very distinguished sound, with there being a violin incomporated into the band. And Xdinary Heroes is a newer generation of band (4th gen), but I think you'll like them. OH and I think you'd really like the soloist WOODZ as well, definitely recommend Drowning and Amnesia for a more rock like sound. OH pt.2 since you like some seventeen songs, definitely recommend Run to You.
i love seeing the amount of ateez on here YESSSS they're one of the few groups that has stuck with their concept instead of trend chasing and i am HERE for it!! their songs are always so full and full of emotion
I never became an active fan of any other group other than BTS since 2017, but so many groups have almost caught me lol, with their songs, choreo, talent, and personality/group energy. It's honestly just my laziness and COVID depression (before my previous depression lol) that made it hard to commit to others :P So much props to so many of these groups, Ateez is def a great group to love. But I have to say, Seventeen has so much respect from me and I keep seeing amazing things from them, not just in talent and music, but they're so hilarious and unique on stage, even on award shows. Such an amazing group with so many GREAT songs and the CHOREOOO from them...! Check out their debut song Adore U if you haven't already, it shocked me the first time I learned it was their DEBUT song, it's so timeless and makes me dance and sing every time, and I love that they still perform it with energy, it's a song that can't get old to perform. Honestly wish I could join the CARAT fandom and be back in my energetic fan era like I was with BTS (I went through all of BTS past broadcasts, shows, songs, EVERYTHING, coz a website had all the links listed, I saw it all in less than a week,I was so taken lol) Sorry to ramble about Seventeen, their music has gotten me in a good mood recently haha. Honorable mention, the QUEENS of kpop (although some might differ) Mamamoo! Amazing vocals and songs. And as a woman, I respect a group that's so.. womanly, they're not overly shy and not made to fit a certain image like other girl groups, it's refreshing watching their confident performances, even their fresh debut ones. As for BTS, my committed group. I was introduced to K-pop because of them. I saw a 'Mob Psycho 100' animation of the anime characters dancing to the BTS Save Me MV, I liked the song and checked out the original and loved it and was interested since then. Considering you maybe like songs that makes you go a bit crazy, I could recommend Dionysus? When it first came out I bopped heavily to it, especially live at a concert, even if it's not really fully my taste (it's good! But to my ears it got old a bit, 8/10). As for a personal favourite of mine that maybe you'd like (guitar ig lol), 'Tomorrow'... it's from one of their oldest albums and it's just... so good, when someone asks me what my favourite BTS song is, instead of trying to go through the entire discography in my head I just say "Tomorrow" XD Tbh, it's hard not to name a bunch of songs of BTS that are so good, without being overwhelming lol. And also don't really want to name "obvious" ones that others might say, like "Boy With Luv is so good!" When personally it's not a good first song to give as an example of BTS's music in my opinion XD I'll throw some random ones in that tickle my eardrums as I scroll through their Spotify... :v (Wont rec many title songs, just some album beauties) (EDIT: "Some" turned into a lie, I got hooked ok?) Tomorrow, Autumn Leaves(love this one personally), Rain, Lost, 21st Century Girl (fun performance), Hold Me Tight, Ma City (SO FUN *bops head*), House of Cards, Rain, Dope (Such a hype song live! Especially a certain one where a show ended the entire event and didn't let BTS go on stage, but even with the stage lights off and left over confetti from a previous performance, they still went on stage to perform that shit!!! All the loyal fans who stayed and waited for them ATE that song, mix of hype and anger haha), Could You Turn Of Your Cell Phone, Let Me Know, Am I Wrong, Pied Piper, 134340, 00:00 Zero O'Clock (I don't vibe so much with the chorus but the rest has a grip on me), line!, HOME, it's been a while since I listened to it and I'm vibing so hard rn, I love the rap parts. Speaking of rap, not sure if it's your thing, but I love the rap-line's songs: UGH!, Interlude : Shadow (MV!), Outro: Ego (MV!), Outro: Tear, BTS Cypher 4 (if it's one wish I have, it's to see them perform this live again, with me there PLS!!!) I tried to scroll through quick and find some songs with guitars with you in mind lol but it's a bit to hard to do in a rush (I NEED TO SLEEP-), and they might not have a lot tbh. I'm sorry for the long ass comment, your video just made me remember my early Kpop discovery days and fresh energy and in turn it made me also want to check out some BTS songs I haven't heard in so long (COVID ruined me...), but would also totally love for newer folks to know about IF they're curious. Please have a good night/day!
I cannot recommend SHINee enough, they can literally do whatever genre and style, and they will nail it. Fun fact: it was thanks to them deciding to record their dance practice for "Lucifer" that it became a thing for every idol group to film and release on yt their dance practice videos ❤
Jungkook literally riding high in the main stream charts now and breaking the big western artists records. He is the definition of being able to ignite the GPs interest in kpop
If you like ATEEZ, def check out NCT, especially NCT 127. I feel like Ay-Yo, Kick It, and Cherry Bomb are probs good places to start. And EXO like Obsession and Monster, and their b-side The Eve is one of my fave songs ever. Also second what someone else said about Dreamcatcher, and obvi Taemin. Just...everything he does is amazing, but if you haven't heard Move you NEED to get on that. Loved the vid!!
Definitely EXO!!! I enjoyed all the groups you featured in this video (you introduced me to some I had not heard before), but EXO is the only group so far that I have deep dived into. Check out Obsession and Tempo for starters; Love Shot, The Eve, El Dorado (in Japan), and so many others. ❤
I wanted to scream in joy when I saw turbulence on here because I am a HUGEEE advocate for turbulence and I’ve been an atiny since 2019 and ateez was the reason I truly got into kpop and Ateez has been my #1 ult since
STFU. IM SUCH AN ADVOCATE FOR THE TURBULENCE AGENDA and I’ve finally met another lmaooo. I can’t understate that turbulence was literally the turning point for me. Like if I didn’t hear turbulence I would not been here rn
@@inthevents19 I rarely every cry to songs and before turbulence, I think I'd only cried to maybe one song in my entire life, and then turbulence was like "well.. let's see what we can do about that" and I literally cried to the song like 8 or so times in the span of two days lmfao
@@kaitlyns9756 ohmygodd no it's such a beautiful song. to be so fr- i was so struggling whether or not to put the ending as the snippet for the video orrr the part where mingi and hongjoong go back and forth on i think the second verse. that's exactly the part of the song that made me turn my head lol
You'd probably like G-Idle, Dreamcatcher. I don't stan a lot of girl groups but those two are my go to. As for SHINee, Tae Min's music is my favorite, so anything from him is HIGHLY recommended, IDEA, ADVICE, CRIMINAL, its all good. Next would be Got7, they are more on the rnb, pop side, so I'd recommend POISON, IF YOU DO, LAST PIECE & AURA. Got7 memebers have solos as well, so you can pick which is your fave. Mine are Jackson's, Jaybs (he also goes by Def- check out ABANDONED LOVE ALBUM) n Jinyoungs Solos. Underrated Groups would be Monsta X (their ENTIRE ENGLISH ALBUM is a banger) I highly recommend beautiful liar, mercy live stage, shoot out, love killer. CIX, is amazing, so give their songs a peep too, JUNGLE performance is a much watch, CINEMA is such a banger. Lastly, i would recommend NOMAD- they are a newly debuted group, but i love their songs so far, NO PRESSURE, EYE TO EYE are so good. So give their newly released songs a chance when u can.
But Standing Next To You really got a large no of POP stans into KPOP & boy JK has built his own huge solo fandom with SNTY. His solo debut was bestest thing to happen in 2023 honestly.
Also if you haven't gone down the Wanteez rabbit hole, do it yesterday. (nothing is better than drunken Ateez singing Turbulence BEAUTIFULLY) (Im a huge Ateez/Stray Kids stan but honestly, I love all kpop if its got a good beat and/or choreo. If you want playlists, I can hook you up XD

Key - Bad love. The instruments get me everytime 🤌🏽🤌🏽 As an atiny since Ateez debut, I'm so proud. Especially since I LOVE turbulence and cannot believe how SLEPT on it is. Also, I think some of Everglows songs like "First" might (?) be up your alley. Hoshi - spider the whole choreo and song just do it for me! (Especially the dance break!!)
This was very entertaining. Love your taste! Recommendations: BTS - Dionysus Jhope - More Agust D - Daechwita & Haeguem & Amygdala Woodz - Feel Like Pentagon - Basquiat & Daisy & Spring Snow Onewe - Trauma (Aquarium) TXT - 0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You) & LO$ER=LO♡ER Key - Bad Love
YES! If this person loves rock, TXT's 0X1=LOVESONG & LO$ER=LOVER are right up there and speak to my heavy metal loving soul. Also, I'm sure they've delved into ATEEZ's catalog, but Wonderland is so good. Stray Kids God's Menu and Miroh. OMG. ARGH. I could go on and on and on.
My sister used to talk to much junk about kpop until i played her SKZ and Guerilla by ATEEZ enough and she actually gave it a chance now she recommends songs to me... she had a complete turn around lol
Kpop hit me in the head like a brick five years ago. As a ex-dancer, the details in the choreography are holding me hostage. I started out with Rain, then GOT7. I was heartbroken when they parted ways. BTS yes, for a while but Monsta X, OMG!!! Their aggressive and mature/sensual music does it for me. The same with Ateez. As of now, I am a Monbebe and an Atiny. I have a large pool of groups that I like. But, Rain sits on a throne above everyone else then Monsta X and Ateez on his left and right side. In my pool, Seventeen, The Rose, Mamamoo, Onesu, EXO, etc., the list goes on. My friends do not like Kpop so I attend their concerts solo but I meet a lot of nice people there with the same purpose in mind to enjoy the groups music and have fun!
im loving this. bibi is an amazing soloist and her duality is actually insane. you have animal farm and last month she released bam yang gang like she really is amazing. her videos are so interesting and ugh i love her
First off, this was great! Definitely added that Viviz song to my playlist, bc I think I'd only heard the opening to that song and now I can't wait for it to come up on shuffle! It sounds like we've had a similar journey from growing up with rock/metal/punk to accidently falling down a kpop rabbit hole lol. Longtime metalhead here, but after my work situation changed I kinda stopped listening to music altogether bc podcasts and tv shows just worked better as background noise for me while I worked an incredibly tedious job. But at some point I stumbled upon 0x1 Lovesong by TXT via a reaction channel I liked, and was blown away at a kpop group evoking that pop-punk sound from my youth that I was already feeling nostalgic for. From there it was a slippery slope to SKZ and Ateez and now like a dozen other groups. It's so fun to discover new music via a new culture, and even the inner sociology/psychology nerd in me is fascinated by the whole kpop phenomenon with all the trappings that come with idols that we simply don't have in any equivalent for here in the west. For recs, apologies in advance if you've already heard any of these, but here are my latest ear worms that specifically made me want to listen to more from that artist or group: Ten, Nighwalker - it's creepy and queer coded and fucking fantastic. Haven't found a track from his group WayV that really hits for me yet, but this one is so good that I wanna keep trying. Kim Sejong, Top or Cliff - if you liked Bibi, you'll love this. Blitzers, Macarena - the mv is hilarious, and the song is the most fun you'll have all week, I promise. DPR IAN, Don't Go Insane - some will tell you he's not kpop, but I really don't care bc he's fucking brilliant. He writes about his bipolar and DID diagnoses, and is a multi-hypenate artist who has full creative control of his work which is suuuch a rare thing in korean music at all, much less kpop. Dreamcatcher, Scream - it's like a perfect marriage of kpop and metal, like if Nightwish trained with one of the big 3. Jessi, Coldblooded - tbh the rap/hiphop side of kpop and khiphop are still not usually my thing, but I just love Jessi's whole vibe and I wanna be her when I grow up. Just B, Medusa - yet another song that 14 yo me would have blasted while dreaming of having enough $ to shop at hot topic. Oneus, Luna - I looove how this incorporates traditional korean instruments and historical influences. OnlyOneOf, Chromehearts - Let me introduce you to the gayest damn kpop group (after this go listen to Libido and the entire Be series immediately). This song is a personal fav bc of all the industrial sounds, like it would have fit right in on the Underworld or Queen Of The Damned soundtracks. &Team, Under The Skin, Firework - This is the japanese counterpart to Enhypen. I cheated and picked 2 bc they're both amazing, the mvs are so cinematic and definitely also check out their dance practices bc they are synchronized af. Woodz, Drowning - another tough pick bc this entire album is fanfuckingtastic, but this is still my fav. The grit and passion in his voice is what I was missing in most kpop vocals. Xikers, Koong - Imma assume if you're into Ateez you've at least heard of their little brothers Xikers, but just in case go listen to this and then go about your day randomly growling "koooooong". Zerobaseone, Crush - What can I say, I love it when they be cookin so gimme all the pots and pans. Also, more recently kpop has been a gateway into krock so I'm simultaneously rediscovering my heavy roots and broadening my kpop tastes. I won't clog up the comments with a whole separate list of krock recs, but if you're interested let me know and here are just a few bands you can start digging into yourself if you want: Xdinary Heroes, Lucy, Rolling Quartz, Kardi, The Rose, Onewe, Day6, Touched, Loren, FT Island, CN Blue, Gukkasten, Hyukoh.
Ohmygod thank u for all this!! I do know Medusa lol aaand have heard of xdinary heroes and the rose. If u have individual songs for the latter two I’d love to hear em. I’ll admit it’s tricky when an artist is recommended and there’s no song bc these kpop artists release a shit ton of stuff and i never know where to start lmaooo … and similarly I’m also an anthropology person so i share that similar curiosity of the whole kpop world hah :)
@@inthevents19 Don't worry, I gotchu ;) Ok, for The Rose, I honestly haven't done a deep dive into their discography and am only really familiar w/ their more recent stuff. But of that, I have these on my krock playlist: Back To Me - iirc this was their first title track after they'd all finished their military service, so it has this very triumphant feel that makes you wanna blast it in the car. Alive - a song with an audio plot twist? Yes! Sour - has kind of a bittersweet vibe that I really love As for Xdinary Heroes, it's sooo hard to pick bc I personally feel that they have the only no-skip discography of all the Korean groups I've found so far. My main recommendation would be to just go thru the title tracks first and then listen to each album, bc they only have 4 minis so it actually doesn't take all that long to catch up. Buuut, if you really do want a sample platter to get a feel for their range of sound, I supposed you can start w/ these: Strawberry Cake - the chorus. That is all. Wego Wego - this is actually a single they released as an OST for a webtoon, and it just plain slaps. Zzzzz - ok, this is a weird one, but I just wanted to show that they're not afraid to experiment. Also, it's catchy as hell. Bicycle - it makes me wanna climb a wall and punch something in victory every time I hear it. Break The Break - their heaviest track so far, and ballsy as hell to make it a title track. Good Enough and Dear H - their first softer songs, and Good Enough is their first all english song. These kids have hardly seen any life yet but they manage to make these songs feel like they've been thru 17 divorces and 82 family tragedies w/ all the emotion they pack into them. Pluto - skip the mv and performance video and go straight for the performance the did for NPOP of this song. Trust me and thank me later. Again? Again! - sooo much damn fun and yet another that you just wanna blast in the car while cruising with friends.
@@inthevents19 More krock song recs, this time w/ no context bc a little surprise is good for the soul lol: Kardi - WatchOut Hyukoh - Wanli Lucy - Boogie Man Cnema - Get Out Loren - Panic Onewe - Aurora Rolling Quartz - Fearless Touched - Night View
Im really in the exact same position as you. I used to think K-pop was for crazy people almost 2 yrs ago, so I guess I’m a crazy person now. Ateez and Stray Kids are so good, agreed. Actually 7:43 Stray Kids did an amazing cover of this song at a concert like a month ago and it’s totally worth checking out, I’d highly recommend.
For me BTS and Shinee turned me into a kpop fan. I became a K-pop fan in 2019 and the reason I listened to BTS and Shinee is bc my close friend was a K-pop fan and the K-pop groups I heard her mention before was BTS and Shinee. She never annoyed me about it or told me to get into it, but as a friend, I wanted to learn a little more about K-pop so that if she ever wants to talk about K-pop I know what she’s talking about. I didn’t think I’d like it, I was just gonna learn a few songs maybe the members names so that if she wants to talk about it with me I can understand and relate. Turns out I loved it and became obsessed and went down the rabbit whole of BTS and Shinee first and about BTS story line etc. Then I learned about other K-pop groups and now we are still both huge K-pop fans lmao. My favorite Kpop groups now are, BTS, Ateez, New Jeans and Twice. I still love Shinee but I just became more connected and fans of other groups a little more.
I know ATEEZ is quality kpop from the start, but this video is convincing me to be a stan after this powerpoint. Thank you, I’ve been a long time K-pop fan for years and transitioned to metal music recently. I’ve been getting back to K-pop but I’ll definitely keep an eye out on ATEEZ and Young Posse
I deep dove into BTS in 2020 during quarantine, and they have some bangers, then I went on to Stray Kidz, and they are awesome but did not keep me for too long... and then I found Ateez. And they got me in a chokehold. I have been a rock and metalhead since I was a kid and they scratch those itches so very well... Holy crow. They are my comfort place. Hope I can see them live next year ❤
My ult is BTS however I'm an old school kpop listener and for me there's usually at least 1 or 2 songs from most groups that I'll like even if Im not into the rest of a specific groups discography I love both stray kids and ateez but if you really wanna hear rock influenced kpop groups I'd suggest "day6" and "the rose"
@@flovonnejohnson707 Yeees! The Rose is on my list for when I have sone time and am good for new music! I heard some of then and they are awesome. Day6 is now added to that list too
Opposite for me , i like ateez and im obsessed with their recent comeback but i just can't move from causual listener to stan meanwhile stray kids are my comfort group
the kpop hater to ulting ateez journey is so real that's where i'm at LMAOO, ateez are the only kpop group i keep up with, but i listen to a lot of others
another rec of an older kpop group that hasnt missed is VIXX, also they had this period where they had these dark concepts which was legendary. chained up is for the baddies. hyde is one of my faves altho warning the MV can have nasty shots if you get disgusted easily. on&on got me into them at the time. shangri-la and fantasy recommended as well
I appreciate you putting the song titles at the bottom of the video! As a current kpop fan, I found some new songs that will be added to my main playlist!! :D
I am also a rocker, my favorite groups before I discovered kpop were/are Avenged Sevenfold and Chevelle. But a guy named Jungkook caught my attention and I fell down the BTS rabbit hole....just so you know, they have many other great songs you might like. I would recommend Danger (since you like Boy in Luv), Dope, Fire, Run BTS, UGH, and JHope's solo More, which really rocks out. You would probably like Jungkook's album Golden as well. Hot is the song that got me into Seventeen, it remains my favorite of theirs and tbh wish there were more like it....but others I like are Fear, 24 Hours (Japanese but still rocks and the choreo is amazing) Fast Pace, Left & Right to name a few. Dreamcatcher is my favorite girl group, they are the girl rockers in kpop, I recommend Scream, Boca & Odd Eye (but there are many others....Trap is more unknown song of theirs that rocks out). I became a big Ateez fan when I saw them perform Cyberpunk....favorites include Crazy Form, Bouncy, Inception & Answer. Also since you featured one of Treasure's songs, I really like Move from them. From one rocker to another, enjoy !
im throwing this rec into the ring just to see if it sparks anythin but roar - the boyz !! tbz also have a lot of variety in their bsides and discography as a whole ! i could also recommend right here, reveal, no air for titles and scar, salty, honey ++ so many more for bsides!!!
It seems that a lot of the same songs got us both into Kpop! I have a rock heart too, but BTS, Ateez, Stray Kids, Shinee, Block B and many others certainly give me the edge I crave and bring me joy 😁
I was so shocked that I literally left out a tear when SHINee showed up because I just love them THAT MUCH! Tbh their discography is full of everything you could imagine, based on the songs showed here I would recommend Why So Serious and Don't Call Me Also not sure if you have hear Woodz yet, but I think you will really enjoy his music as well, honestly anything that you find typing his name on youtube but some of my faves are Drowning and Feel Like. And other recomendation would be DPR Ian, specially the first album MITO, Nerves and So Beautiful are my absolute favourites! And as for girlgroups you NEED to listen to Dreamcatcher whom many might consider the female version of ATEEZ, and went under a whole rebranding, going from bubblegum pop (under the name MINX) that you could probably imagine when first hearing the word K-POP, to this dark, mature, alluring and powerfull image, re-debuting with Chase Me and becoming what we know today. And you would also probably enjoy the whole genre of K-rock, including more idol-like bands such as Day6, The Rose, ONEWE and Xdinary Heroes, maybe some oldies like FT ISLAND (Pray is that song for me) and some more indie (whom honestly I don´t know alot about) like SURL or Hey Men, like I said I myself am not an expert on this side of the industry but I know you cand find incredible bands while watching Great Seoul Invasion, or Superband Anyways, welcome to this rabbit hole, hope you continue enjoying your kpop journey and finding amazing new artists to support and recommend!
I'm a rock fan too and every song you put in this video I have on my playlist too lol (Also I actually can't get enough of Ateez) But for some some recs, I would say: I Hate You by Woodz (I love how enegetic the song is and I have a love for the guitar in it) No Diggity and Bring It On by Oneus I Know I Love You by TXT (It's soooo good) Full Moon by Oneus (The vocals in this song are incredible and I feel like I'm flying when I listen to them)
These are the most iconic songs I enjoyed as an Atiny, and I believe every Atiny would: MonstaX - Gambler, Hero, Fantasia Chungha - Bicycle BlockB - Nillili Mambo Twice - Perfect World ( so goood!) Dreamcatcher - Scream ( all of their songs tbh) Oneus - No Diggity (hype, goes hard) Enhypen - Drunk-Dazed (a BOP!) Kard - Bomb Bomb Gugudan - Not That Type (summer bop) Everglow - every damn song but: Adios, Ladida, First Kang Daniel - Paranoia (not hearing it is a crime) SF9 - Summer Breeze Victon - What I said +Aespa - Hold on Tight There is a ton more, but I didn't want this to be longer.
Kang daniel Who you are, Kard Oh Nana, red moon, rumor and Block B Nalina are so good too. Oneus has a lot too, like A song written easily, Same scent, Lit, To be or not to be and Luna
BONA BONA MENTIONED 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 AND YOU DEFINITELY NEED TO LISTEN NOT OKAY, PARADIGM BY ATEEZ, BIBORA BY SF9 AND TIC TAC BY 8TURN (not sure if I write the last one lmao)
I love how BTS draws music lovers in and welcomes them into a whole new industry of music of different genres and styles. Glad you're loving kpop as much as the rest of us now! I think people should know that you don't have to love every single song to enjoy kpop. I'm personally very picky with the songs I put in my playlist, but I still love being part of this different side of music.
Proud of u for doing ur homework!! There is so much earlier gen kpop music that's so good 🔥 as a stay I'd recommend LALALALA (which has a rock version!), WOLFGANG, and ITEM for more hype songs 🎵
Bruh, how do you not have Agust D or Xdinary Heroes in your list already? Who is slacking on the recommendations??? But also slightly 'lesser' known recs would be "Wanli" by Hyukoh, "Burn it up" by FTIsland, "Basquiat" by Pentagon, and "No Diggity" by Oneus, just to name a few lol
Just about anything from Stray Kids is amazing. I love that they write their own music and lyrics and produce their own songs - they are so talented! Their voices and choreo/dancing are amazing, but even better than that is getting to know their beautiful personalities and their brotherhood with each other. I love the Korean acceptance of male skinship/ showing affection. They are truly family. So, Stray Kids got me into K-pop and now I’m also a fan of ATEEZ (esp Wooyoung and San), Enhyphen (esp Ni-Ki) and Taemin. 😊
This video always came up on my feed but I never clicked on it thinking, it will be just another Kpop compilation video but girll this gave me a roller coaster of emotions from pure nostalgia to head banging adrenaline rush. This was great. 💜

KQ CEO just joined the ranks 😂
My sister never listens to Kpop...that is until I showed her JK's golden album. She sings it randomly all the time now.

lol that was fun.
SEVENTEEN HAVE GOT ME SLIPPING INTO THE DIAMOND LIFE
If you like band stuff, there are some great bands in kpop.
I'd recommend Demian a soloist like Woodz too!
The fact that I love every single artist/song you just mentioned!!!!!! Awesome taste man!
Frrrr (btw you taste is 🤌🤌🤌)
I also really like 9001 & Surl, but I like everybody you listed too😅
Taste 🔥🔥
Day6 and The Rose are my top bands recently and Xdinary are pretty decent. Gotta check out Lucy!
i love seeing the amount of ateez on here YESSSS they're one of the few groups that has stuck with their concept instead of trend chasing and i am HERE for it!! their songs are always so full and full of emotion
I never became an active fan of any other group other than BTS since 2017, but so many groups have almost caught me lol, with their songs, choreo, talent, and personality/group energy. It's honestly just my laziness and COVID depression (before my previous depression lol) that made it hard to commit to others :P
So much props to so many of these groups, Ateez is def a great group to love.
Honestly wish I could join the CARAT fandom and be back in my energetic fan era like I was with BTS (I went through all of BTS past broadcasts, shows, songs, EVERYTHING, coz a website had all the links listed, I saw it all in less than a week,I was so taken lol)
Sorry to ramble about Seventeen, their music has gotten me in a good mood recently haha.
As for a personal favourite of mine that maybe you'd like (guitar ig lol), 'Tomorrow'... it's from one of their oldest albums and it's just... so good, when someone asks me what my favourite BTS song is, instead of trying to go through the entire discography in my head I just say "Tomorrow" XD
Tbh, it's hard not to name a bunch of songs of BTS that are so good, without being overwhelming lol. And also don't really want to name "obvious" ones that others might say, like "Boy With Luv is so good!" When personally it's not a good first song to give as an example of BTS's music in my opinion XD
I'll throw some random ones in that tickle my eardrums as I scroll through their Spotify... :v (Wont rec many title songs, just some album beauties) (EDIT: "Some" turned into a lie, I got hooked ok?)
Tomorrow, Autumn Leaves(love this one personally), Rain, Lost, 21st Century Girl (fun performance), Hold Me Tight, Ma City (SO FUN *bops head*), House of Cards, Rain, Dope (Such a hype song live! Speaking of rap, not sure if it's your thing, but I love the rap-line's songs: UGH!, Interlude : Shadow (MV!), Outro: Ego (MV!), Outro: Tear, BTS Cypher 4 (if it's one wish I have, it's to see them perform this live again, with me there PLS!!!)
I tried to scroll through quick and find some songs with guitars with you in mind lol but it's a bit to hard to do in a rush (I NEED TO SLEEP-), and they might not have a lot tbh.
Aww I really appreciate all this!! Im glad u could reminisce :) now go to sleep lol
I cannot recommend SHINee enough, they can literally do whatever genre and style, and they will nail it. Fun fact: it was thanks to them deciding to record their dance practice for "Lucifer" that it became a thing for every idol group to film and release on yt their dance practice videos ❤

My friends do not like Kpop so I attend their concerts solo but I meet a lot of nice people there with the same purpose in mind to enjoy the groups music and have fun!
hey got7 did not part ways they are still got7 but in different companies for their solos , currently 2 of them in military
im loving this. bibi is an amazing soloist and her duality is actually insane. you have animal farm and last month she released bam yang gang like she really is amazing. her videos are so interesting and ugh i love her
First off, this was great!
For recs, apologies in advance if you've already heard any of these, but here are my latest ear worms that specifically made me want to listen to more from that artist or group:
Ten, Nighwalker - it's creepy and queer coded and fucking fantastic.
@@inthevents19 Don't worry, I gotchu ;)
Ok, for The Rose, I honestly haven't done a deep dive into their discography and am only really familiar w/ their more recent stuff. But of that, I have these on my krock playlist:
Back To Me - iirc this was their first title track after they'd all finished their military service, so it has this very triumphant feel that makes you wanna blast it in the car.
Alive - a song with an audio plot twist? Yes!
Sour - has kind of a bittersweet vibe that I really love
As for Xdinary Heroes, it's sooo hard to pick bc I personally feel that they have the only no-skip discography of all the Korean groups I've found so far. My main recommendation would be to just go thru the title tracks first and then listen to each album, bc they only have 4 minis so it actually doesn't take all that long to catch up. Buuut, if you really do want a sample platter to get a feel for their range of sound, I supposed you can start w/ these:
Strawberry Cake - the chorus.
@@inthevents19 More krock song recs, this time w/ no context bc a little surprise is good for the soul lol:
Kardi - WatchOut
Hyukoh - Wanli
Lucy - Boogie Man
Cnema - Get Out
Loren - Panic
Onewe - Aurora
Rolling Quartz - Fearless
Touched - Night View
BIG UPS FOR MACARENA BY BLITZERS
it would be worth it for the music video alone but the song is also so much fun
1:38 Hoshi here has everyone on a chokehold
Leez and Ollounder atracting all the rock fans into kpop😂
Hope I can see them live next year ❤
My ult is BTS however I'm an old school kpop listener and for me there's usually at least 1 or 2 songs from most groups that I'll like even if Im not into the rest of a specific groups discography
I love both stray kids and ateez but if you really wanna hear rock influenced kpop groups I'd suggest "day6" and "the rose"
@@flovonnejohnson707 Yeees! The Rose is on my list for when I have sone time and am good for new music! I heard some of then and they are awesome. Day6 is now added to that list too
@@dreamer_of_hiraeth you might like "crackberry" as well
Opposite for me , i like ateez and im obsessed with their recent comeback but i just can't move from causual listener to stan meanwhile stray kids are my comfort group
If you like rock I suggest Xdinary Heroes
the kpop hater to ulting ateez journey is so real that's where i'm at LMAOO, ateez are the only kpop group i keep up with, but i listen to a lot of others
0:38 that ain’t Kpop no more. Just a Korean singing pop 😭
You literally have the exact same music taste as me because all of these are literally my favourite...not even kidding😭
another rec of an older kpop group that hasnt missed is VIXX, also they had this period where they had these dark concepts which was legendary. chained up is for the baddies. hyde is one of my faves altho warning the MV can have nasty shots if you get disgusted easily. on&on got me into them at the time. shangri-la and fantasy recommended as well
Hyde is a W! There were ahead of their time 🔥
Nu'est are also similiar, but a more chill vibe.
VVVVIIIIIIIIIXXXXXXXXXX!!!!!!!!!! The first group I ever stanned😁🤩
I appreciate you putting the song titles at the bottom of the video! As a current kpop fan, I found some new songs that will be added to my main playlist!! :D
BTS and Jungkook has been turning haters into Kpop Stans for the 8th years btw😭
BIBI videos, now that's a glorious and bloody rabbit hole to go down.
I love that Jongho's belting in turbulence is what really did it for you. Jongho's got some great beltin vocals.
I recomend The Boyz, Got7, P1Harmony and A.C.E. All of these groups have songs from various styles so you can choose what you like.
I legit cheered when Shinee came out! I am a fellow metal head 😂
im throwing this rec into the ring just to see if it sparks anythin but roar - the boyz !! tbz also have a lot of variety in their bsides and discography as a whole ! i could also recommend right here, reveal, no air for titles and scar, salty, honey ++ so many more for bsides!!!
Ateez alone are paving their own way, making two title tracks, experimenting with different genres, they have a very bright future
Tbh their discography is full of everything you could imagine, based on the songs showed here I would recommend Why So Serious and Don't Call Me
Also not sure if you have hear Woodz yet, but I think you will really enjoy his music as well, honestly anything that you find typing his name on youtube but some of my faves are Drowning and Feel Like.
And you would also probably enjoy the whole genre of K-rock, including more idol-like bands such as Day6, The Rose, ONEWE and Xdinary Heroes, maybe some oldies like FT ISLAND (Pray is that song for me) and some more indie (whom honestly I don´t know alot about) like SURL or Hey Men, like I said I myself am not an expert on this side of the industry but I know you cand find incredible bands while watching Great Seoul Invasion, or Superband
Anyways, welcome to this rabbit hole, hope you continue enjoying your kpop journey and finding amazing new artists to support and recommend!
ATEEZ literally changed my life. My daughter showed me Guerilla and it was over. I'm obsessed. I'm a Staytiny and I've never been happier ❤
I'm a rock fan too and every song you put in this video I have on my playlist too lol (Also I actually can't get enough of Ateez)
But for some some recs, I would say:
I Hate You by Woodz (I love how enegetic the song is and I have a love for the guitar in it)
No Diggity and Bring It On by Oneus
I Know I Love You by TXT (It's soooo good)
Full Moon by Oneus (The vocals in this song are incredible and I feel like I'm flying when I listen to them)
These are the most iconic songs I enjoyed as an Atiny, and I believe every Atiny would:
MonstaX - Gambler, Hero, Fantasia
Chungha - Bicycle
BlockB - Nillili Mambo
Twice - Perfect World ( so goood!)
Dreamcatcher - Scream ( all of their songs tbh)
Oneus - No Diggity (hype, goes hard)
Enhypen - Drunk-Dazed (a BOP!)
Kard - Bomb Bomb
Gugudan - Not That Type (summer bop)
Everglow - every damn song but: Adios, Ladida, First
Kang Daniel - Paranoia (not hearing it is a crime)
SF9 - Summer Breeze
Victon - What I said
+Aespa - Hold on Tight
There is a ton more, but I didn't want this to be longer.
big ups for Paranoia. I'm a very casual Kang Daniel enjoyer but that song...
Kang daniel Who you are, Kard Oh Nana, red moon, rumor and Block B Nalina are so good too.
Oneus has a lot too, like A song written easily, Same scent, Lit, To be or not to be and Luna
Yesssss! Love SF9. I don’t recognize a few of these so now I have new bands to look up TYFR❤
@@hazelmint6671 Yes, I love those Oneus songs a lot, they are gold
@@joygerdes3837 Let's go😉
BONA BONA MENTIONED 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 AND YOU DEFINITELY NEED TO LISTEN NOT OKAY, PARADIGM BY ATEEZ, BIBORA BY SF9 AND TIC TAC BY 8TURN (not sure if I write the last one lmao)
New kpoppies finding SHINee and the absolute peak of 2nd gen makes me so happy 😭
GUERILLAAAAAAAAAAAAA OH MY GOD ATEEZ i dont know what to do
I need to make a playlist with all these songs exclusively... they go hard!!!!❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
9:10 Untie base sound like the one from back door by sky in the beginning
Sherlock literally rocked my world
I know that Standing Next To You is a song but after he puts that microphone down my brain glitches and I have no idea what happens.
Rock with you is one of my fave seventeen songs❤
This video always came up on my feed but I never clicked on it thinking, it will be just another Kpop compilation video but girll this gave me a roller coaster of emotions from pure nostalgia to head banging adrenaline rush. This was great. 💜
I think you should give Seventeen's Fearless a try though, since the guitar work in the chorus is just🥵🔥🔥
