I’m not really like other object show fans bc I never really have a favourite character, I just like seeing the story of the show and where it goes. If Cary and Michael want to make a weird ending for their show, then so be it. It’s not my show so I can’t control what happens in the episodes (well except for voting, that is)

I really hated the reason on why Firey didn’t let Leafy’s into Dream Island, specifically because like, no one besides him would’ve liked being on a Ferris wheel that pours lava down on you, it made me feel that Coiny was right, Firey is dumb, especially if he was hurt about Leafy not liking his ride, then why did he take until he won to tell this to her, he had an entire *month* to do that, like what was he doing during that time, touching his fireballs. This is why I was happy when in BFB 24, Firey had somewhat learned from the mistake he made 8 years ago, by making a new Ferris wheel that while yeah still pours out lava, now also pours out water so that someone like Leafy won’t be incinerated.
it felt VERY out of character for Firey here he let COINY onto Dream Island, a person he's had beef with for the entire season, going back to the very first episode... but he didn't let Leafy in because she insulted a ferris wheel that literally killed her?

I heard this theory from somewhere (idk where), but it adds up very well: The twins wanted Bubble to win. In the past couple of episodes Firey got less development compared to Leafy and Bubble, Flower was practically written to be out from Day 1 and Spongy was a rejoiner. They expected Firey to get the least votes due to not being seen as much, Leafy still get 2nd and have Bubble win. Bubble would let most people in, but deny Leafy due to the arguments, with a much clearer ending. The plan backfired, as Firey won so the twins had to brainstorm something TL;DR - Twins expected Bubble to win finale and had it all planned, Firey won instead so their plans were ruined
I still think this finale was good imo. Not the best as BFB's, but I can see why they didn't get the dream island they wanted it. After all, Dream Island looked cheap anyways compared to Two's hotel and Yoyle City.
I mean at the same time can we really blame the two, they make bfdi episodes every month so you can't be perfect all the time (also the whole not letting leafy in was a joke.....a joke that flew across everyones heads because it didn't hit)
Personally, BFDI 25 is a guilty pleasure of mine. That makes it by no means good. It’s a pretty terrible episode and finale overall. Say what you like about BFB 30 (which I love unironically), but you have to admit, it’s *definitely* an improvement over *this* finale.
It was a very nonsensical episode, Firey doesnt let leafy onto the island for a childish reason, Leafy buys the island which announcer said it would cost "not a penny" and instead of getting mad at announcer they chase LEAFY! What the HECK?!
This will always be my least favourite episode. It’s unsatisfying. Also one of the many reasons I hate firey. This was an out of character act of pettiness and idiocy from him that really messed his character up. Only good thing is it caused the rest of BFDI.
Now that I think about it, Return of the Hang Glider was a pretty weak finale. It's not surprising that people tried to rewrite it so they DO win Dream Island However, sadly, it's likely season 2+ wouldn't have happened without this episode - the series would've ended after just one season. So I guess this was the better outcome - I'll take a weak finale over the rest of the series not happening.

they couldnt really bring up the firey and leafy arc too much in bfb because writers usually dont have anytime until the viewers would most likely vote one of them out :(( they have to rush it or else one of the characters gonna be eliminated before they can finish their arcs
Can you really blame them? I mean they were very young while making this episode and had school and stuff so they probably had little time to think about the plot
