You remind me of the fable of the man who was constantly complaining that the world was filthy until he discovered his own glasses were the ones that were dirty.
Hi Carrie! I agree with what you said, despite the great variety of Tarot cards the meaning is all the same. It's also true that some decks have colour combinations that hurt the eyes. Blessed be! :-)
I guess I see the contemporary split more as approaches to Tarot. Marseilles or older European decks are read more with techniques of classic cartomancy, Thoth and others like the Hermetic Tarot or Haindl Tarot work with plenty of esoteric associations to astrology, kabbalah and more. And RWS or newer decks that are based on its imagery, or decks that just have scenic minors even if the scenes are not particularly related to RWS that have been made with the intent of communicating meaning through scenes without heavy esoteric associations. They can work together, but schools of how to read them are the main difference in my opinion. Hope I could explain what I think.
My favorite is Marseille. I liked that images are quite standardized (cause it is a playing cards deck at origine) I find Rider-Waite-Smith uglier. Thoth is prettier, but too much complicated for me. The more simple the better ♥
You would be more accessible if you emphasized that what you believe is your opinion. Because many of us see these decks in our own way with our own preferences. Really offensive at times!

I love that you start of strong and end so abruptly

The meanings of the Thoth and the RWS are the same lol I don’t get the fuss about something so simple 😬 People are going to hare me hahaha

7:15 ok but this is still a RWS deck.. lol
Can you please link the nice Thoth version?
What deck do you like the most? Which deck is not ugly to you?? And yes reider waite is ugly
I like Piatnik Ecletic
I think the "prettier" a deck looks the less inspiring it is. Over produced decks look cheesy to me.

They ARE NOT THE SAME NUMBER CHECK & STRENGTH JUSTICE NUMBERS
The shade in this video! 💀 😂
I also think these three decks, while they are the OG, are very ugly!! 👌
My favs are Piatnik Marseille and Piatnik Eclectic
