Superb effort. Very impressive. Very polished. I'm miles behind - beginner; still struggling with the paradiddle combo in the basic version. Tucking left elbow in helps a good bit. Inspiring.
I went to see Tommy Igoe at Birdland in NYC back in November. I brought my Lifetime Warmup Chart and he signed the Advanced side across the top. Got to meet Sonny Igoe too. Was a great night. : )
Agreed. How many times have we been in lessons and our teacher says: "Ok, play paradiddies" Or, "play a ratamacue" What I like about the lifetime is you learn to play rudiments in tempo, not just open to closed. You aren't going to play fills open to close...you play them in time. I think this teaches you how to apply rudiments in a musical setting. Have you tried playing this on the kit? It's fun to play a samba bass and play it...really increases your flexibility on the kit.
I play this daily. It was THE WAY I got my traditional grip back in shape! Though, I imagine Alan Dawson's Rudimental Ritual would do the same for your hands.
May I ask and I'm not being a dick. Can u play thus on a snare drum?? So many drummers I c can play this on the bouncy bouncy pad and not so good on a drum.
I have Tommy's video but this was a fantastic concentrate! I was truly amazed by the flawless and easy performance! Thanks from Sweden!
