Hey thanks! There are a few things I work on aside from the Igoe warmups. I've been practicing through the Joe Morello books and the Jojo Mayer dvd as well. I might do something eventually, thanks for the interest. If you have other questions, feel free to ask.
And btw, I did a clip called the Full Stroke where I explain that particular stroke which helped me get more relaxed. It's mainly a thing where you let the rebound happen. Very natural. Check it out.
Thanks Jonathan! Those rolls are pretty hard to pull off but after having practiced the routine a lot, it gets easier. Just keep going and eventually you'll be able to pull it off.
Hey thanks! Yes, I did check out the Dave Weckl dvd, which I really enjoyed. I'm not exactly sure if I do the technique he describes though. You might be right. And yes, it could be a good idea to alternate on those rolls. But to make it even more fun, what I do is I play the whole routine right-handed (I'm a lefty).
Thanks. I do tap usually but I think I didn't do it in the video because I didn't want that tap sound. Its good to have your feet working while working your hands though.
awesome job man! great hands. from the looks of your long roll technique, it looks like you use the Dave Weckl technique that he described in natural evolution. btw, you should try alternating some of the rudiments like the 7 and 11 stroke rolls to vary it up sometimes. makes it a little more fun :)
I saw tommy at a clinic yesterday, and he played this lifetime warmup a bit faster, while speaking to us, but FOR LIKE 20 MINS, adding even more rudiments, and almost every stroke of his was borderline perfect. Really good job here my friend :)
Tommy does explain it and he does it good. I think that if you want to take a close look at traditional grip, Jojo Mayer's dvd is a good choice. He really goes deep down into the mechanics of it. Joe Morello's A Natural Approach To Technique (which is on youtube) is very good also.
also, great job on those triplet rolls! i struggle with those and end up tensing up to try and squeeze out the notes but the get crushed. so i just do triplet buzz rolls to stay relaxed :P
magnifique. On voit bien je trouve dans ta video comment tu gères le rebond des "single strokes" par paquet de 4 dans l'étape "single & doubles". trop cool.
Yes, i do :) I'm trying to learn traditional grip, does tommy igoe explain it from scratch and break down his technique? And thank YOU for using your quality of playing to peak my interest haha :P
ur fluidity is insane dude, maybe a lil late for comments but had to. best lifetime warmup advanced I have heard so far.
Thanks a lot!!
Other than by Tommy Igoe this is the best I've seen this routine played to date
Thank you very much. Tommy has amazing hands though!! :)

Thanks a lot!! I would have been curious to see Tommy play that. He has crazy good hands. I saw him play the Montreal Drum Fest. It was amazing!!
Great job man! I'm up to 75% speed with an app to slow the track down on this and I'm loving it.

I hope I'll be able to play this at the end of this year :)

@dneckels Thank you!! I still work through the intermediate from time to time.
Allways step your foot like tommy said. but great work, it flows.
Is there a way you could make a tutorial on your hands, how you get such speeds so relaxed? on your left and right hands?
amazing technique

Hey this is awesome! Where did you get the audio track? I’ve been using RUclips vids to guide me through the warmup but it’s harder to hear the click.
rojokelev you could always buy it? Tommy doesn’t work for free.
