My Mom, God rest her, took me to the Cowboys game that year when I was 9 years old. Don’t let the sunshine in the highlights fool you, it was cold and windy as hell in that stadium and in the shade it was colder still. Getting to see Roger Staubach was a blast, but being able to say that I was there for Tommy Nobis’ final NFL interception was something else. It’s criminal that he’s not in the Hall of Fame. And John Facenda over the Sam Spence Orchestra score? Always epic. The NFL in the ‘70s (or at least NFL Films) is old skool ball at its best.
Billy Pritchett is buried near my son in Dallas. Came across his beautiful headstone and started to research him to assist my grief. 4:43 is his only touchdown recorded in his career. I Hope he rode that high his whole life.

That game was the first of many that I attended!

20:56 Spectacular total demolition of a Rams sweep by Tommy Nobis. Incredible !!! Highlight material for the ages.
Nobis never got the notoriety that he deserved.
I absolutely love this channel especially seeing old Falcons highlights
Dallas was 9-1-0 and tied with the Raiders (9-1-0) for the best record in the NFL when Atlanta upset the Cowboys.
Even the great teams can have a bad game for Dallas this was one of their 3 in 1976
i dont why i watching this team for.
16:17 Is like the Dan Orlovsky play with the Lions versus Vikings when he ran out of back of end zone.
Dan was looking down field, not knowing where he was stepping. Bobby Douglass was trying to save his life with Claude Humphrey trying to end it
@@howardcosell2022 Dan was running for Jared Allen. Neither QB had any idea they they were out of bounds at first.
@@dougmaclennan8654 Dan was looking downfield to throw the ball. Bobby was running for his life. Big difference
20:43 ... Tommy Nobis
New Subscriber
17:55 ... Lion lands awkwardly on his head
That was Butch Johnson of the Cowboys
The original 59-0 game
Then came the Titans at the Patriots in 2009in the snow
16:05
Boring. Like watching paint dry
