Yes thank the Lord she don't have that as another problem to add to her list. With a clear mind, this one has the best chance of any girl I've seen on here. She is clearly smart , bc she knows better then to pick up them hard drugs that these girls are selling there bodies for!!!!

Those addictions have her hooked, but she seems to have clarity about them. Crystal meth induces delusions, often scary ones, and fentanyl is Russian roulette. I think she has avoided the worst.

My mother worked in prostitution and she decided not to care for me. I grew up as a ward of state. She died when I was 9 and I spent my early adult life trying to know about her and her life. It led me into prostitution myself. It took a lot to get out but I did. I had children and the cycle was broken. That’s the challenge. I truly wish your girls know you … You can break the cycle. You are amazing. I reckon you can do anything you put your mind to because you have a goos heart, you are smart and you have two beautiful girls that I’m sure are as amazing as you. If you stay in prostitution focus and buy the land. But the best investment you can make is in you and your girls. Start a business. Become the leader you were born to be.

Many, perhaps even most of us sell our souls to square jobs. There is more danger but also more freedom in doing what she does than in having a square job. I am not condoning her business but if she stays in it then she needs to learn how to budget because much of what she spends her money on are totally unnecessary expenses.

You don't need a PhD to know that we are shaped by our childhood, our parents, our environment. It's sad that some people can't escape this viscous cycle of wrong doings. I honestly think the best solution is creating a community where people can help and look out for one another. Kinda like skit row but on the positive spectrum.

When you do the normal things like work, dont take drugs, and dont get arrested, the state funds poor kids, or even raises them, theres motherhood clinics, kids go to school where they are educated and guided, theres funds for baby sitting, child care, theres church groups that help, theres welfare workers for single mothers to get public housing, there is a lot of support for women with kids,
@@tubester4567. I went through so many hoops and didn’t get half of those things. It’s not a welcoming society for people who don’t have the support of a family, very often. These agencies make it clear that they think you’re gonna get too comfortable and take advantage, if they really give you what you need, so you’re busy trying to prove that you and your kids deserve to eat and be housed all the time. There used to be more support for single mothers, but you can’t get childcare and funding to participate in education or vocational training programs of more than 3 months, where I live, and my friends in the South get very little financial assistance at all, if any. When you’re taking care of kids, you are doing a job. I hear a lot about people choosing to abandon or neglect their kids, but not enough about the low priority this society places on parenting. Sweden gives either parent a real decent living stipend for the first 18 months of their child’s life, whether they’re rich or poor, so they can bond with their child, without worrying about how they’re going to get diapers.

There are a lot of indigenous people in central and Northern California. Their towns can be found around the casinos in California, unfortunately that community has some issues and it would be great to hear why they are going through certain ones. I've been wondering why people don't seem to care about indigenous people in the US anymore. It's like a non subject in any civil rights or equality conversation. So sad.

When someone starts off saying “I’ve always been a mistake” or “I’ve never felt loved”, that’s an inner circle problem. As for positivity down on skid row, they do offer programs, classes, internships, etc. It starts from the beginning and the person wanting to get better for themselves. We all face adversities and work hard for what we have. Every day is a challenge. I’m tired of ppl saying how they can’t come out of their situations blah blah. Choices is a start!
I am wondering if anyone else has noticed this trend. When the interviewee is attractive. They get fr better more sympathetic the responses and feedback. I think they all deserve sympathy and grace not just the beautiful ones.

You owe it to them to be with them for their first eighteen years of life. Then go do whatever you want with the rest of your life . To say "they are safe with their daddy" is an excuse to feed your own selfish desires. Unless you are dead, in jail or in the hospital there is no acceptable reason to not be in the lives of your children every day & night. Don't steal their childhood like yours was stolen from you. Thank you for sharing your personal experience. Every child deserves an opportunity at greatness. She’s so stuck on herself. Spent the entire interview talking about how much she makes and what she endures, etc, but 1 minute on her two girls she abandoned. You’re right, how must they feel on Mother’s Day, parent conference day, performances etc without her in the audience watching. This really sucks.

@@aprilMichelleXJRL that’s very kind to say. Actually I did discover that my mother had worked in prostitution and that’s what opened it up for me. That as well as having no family and being without money. But it was more than that. I wanted to know my mother. I wanted to understand her life. I thought I’d only do it for a while but I didn’t realise I would get trapped. It was so hard to get out. I did work with organisations for a while trying to help women leave but I wanted to be free of it when my children were young. The women who are trapped there they will always be in my heart. That’s why I love Soft Underbelly … They were my family. They still are. I just want every one of them to know they have a choice and that choice really, really matters.

I imagine you saw a lot of drug addiction, I know so many that cant seem to break loose. When women or girls have daddy and parent issues this happens in a lot of cases. I'm not looking down on her but it hurts to see the devil destroy people's lives like this.
I have recently learned the same with drug addiction, that the root of it really is self hatred/no self respect. I’m proud of Sensation for not getting involved with drugs yet, I hope she is able to stay away. Its so true that its the devil who seeks to destroy lives.
@alexandram1838 absolutely. Thats how I learned this. I hated myself and was addicted to drugs for 15 years. She and everyone involved in any kind of lifestyle on here are was more precious that the life they choose. I pray they can break loose before it's too late.

I recently left LA but I’m still struggling and I know its because of my choices with no one to blame. Addiction/drugs are truly the devil. One of my granddaughter s is about to be 20 and in her second year st a Cal State University and is enjoying her fist real boyfriends. I watch her and her boyfriend enjoying each other and I think about Sensational and how she had to grow up so fast. On the flip side I think of how sheltered my granddaughter was. She had a good upbringing and her high school years were spent being a straight A student and a cheerleader all four years. Sensation never got to experience that. However Sensation can read people and has a good head on her shoulders and can take care of herself. I'd love to see her follow up.🎉🎉

I listen and watch this young lady and can’t help thinking if she had the kind of parents and exposure I had and how far she would be. I’m praying for her.
She has so much potential. I wish we could help her. I think with a little help to get a trade she could become whatever she wants to be. She just needs someone to believe in her and help her a little bit. Nobody has ever really supported her. Everyone needs a support system. She’s one of the strongest I’ve seen on here. She has so much discipline already. She’s not on drugs or anything.

I agree. She needs some kind of guidance or support system -- and I don't mean just throwing money at her. But hooking her up with counseling or someone to help her organize herself and feel some support. She has had zero support from day one. Yet she managed to get out of a bad pimp relationship and also has kept herself off drugs
This is so sad. I'm one of the few that finally got out of this lifestyle. After 5 years, I escaped and never thought I'd make it home alive. Then I turned around and did it again to myself, which is still hard to come to grips with. I can tell you 1st hand it takes a strong person to escape this lifestyle and even then, you never can escape the past. I wish someone could come up with a successful formula to help people that will carry these traumas for the rest of their lives...

Most people don't understand how different their lives are in ways that take years to change, and vice versa, the interviewees don't understand how different other people's lives are either. The surface differences are just an iceburg tip.
It's always sad to hear "in a year (or two) you'll see" because it doesn't happen, and this is why - they really don't know how different it is. They're adults in the streets, but children in ability to navigate the 'square' world (as are 'squares' children when it comes to the streets) and they simply don't know and can't know how different it is without seeing it a lot more. And that means they're underestimating the work and obstacles they need to overcome.
Getting out of the street into the 'square' world for them would be like starting over at ten years old. She needs to go to school, learn how to socialize with people outside the street game, develop knowledge and skills for living as a broke square, find a career, etc. It's not easy! It would take her five, maybe even ten years to figure out how to start making it at a square life.
Who is going to give up that much of their time to switch to the life of your average or even above average lower class income?
She would benefit of course, but only long term. Namely it would be the only way to give her children a proper start and role model, for her to pass on the knowledge she learned so they could immediately start in the 'square' world and not have to start out living like she does now.
But we know she doesn't care that much about her kids. It's not a lifestyle or culture that values self sacrifice.
