She has style too. She makes her own stage clothes, and does her own makeup and hair. She also makes artwork and sells it at their shows.

Kudos to the early pioneers, a handful through the 80’s, a few more awesome ladies through the 90’s who paved the way. Who would have thought back then that ladies would take on and rule Metal. ❤

A good next one is Perennial from the same show. You can't really go wrong with any of their official and even some of their unofficial stuff. If you want to see something featuring just her you could look at Judgement and Punishment One Take Vocal Performance.

This song is 8 years old - they just released a few live songs from a show last year 2023 that you should hear. Jiner - Call Me A Symbol (Official Live in LA) - if there is anything left of your face after Pisces, this will remove the rest guaranteed!
Great reaction guys, keep it up! 🤘

in this song Tati had problems with her in ear headphones, which is why she sounds a bit atonal in some parts of the song....
listen to other Jinjer songs, you'll be amazed, one of the best bands I've heard in the last decades, regardless of musical genre.
i myself have been a musician for over 40 years and have been listening to a lot of jinjer for 7 years, these musicians are simply world class....
by the way, nightwish and jinjer are very often mentioned together, which I have never understood!!!!!!!!!!
IMO Jinjer makes a completely different kind of music, for me a much more interesting one...........
thanx for your interest and your reaction!

I love Jinjer. Although this isn't my fave from them, you can tell how good they are at song writing. They used at least 3 different time signatures (7/8, 6/8, 4/4) and you barely notice. So smooth!

Yep, she's got a beast inside of her. She has epic vocals but her band is also incredible. They came up the hard way. There really isn't much of an industry in Ukraine for this type of band. There is a video "Jinjer-From Nothing" that gives you an idea of how this band got where it is and gives you a taste of some other songs as well. Vortex was the first one.

Welcome to Jinjer. Tatiana is a vocal goddess and the band is amazing. This, however, is not the best version of this song. They were plagued with technical problems throughout their set. It wasn't until the last song they figured out the engineering bugs. I strongly recommend reacting to that song. "Perennial" live at Wacken 2019 really showcases the talent of this band. Good reaction (Subbed)

Tell me that Eugene on bass does not look like Tyrion Lannister!? The studio "live" version is really good too. (The band "Ignea" is from Ukraine too, say hi to Helle for me! - ruclips.net/video/NnV9vpEit6E/видео.html ) Ms. Tatiana Shmaylyuk of Jinjer was a teacher - imagine being the class clown? Not for long!... before she got "hooked on music" (pun intended!) She is Pisces!

Lol Jinjer is ukrainian proggy djent groove metal with complex time-signature maze, polyrhythms and multi-genre blending. They are one of the most talented 4-pieces ever. Tati is one of the best overall metal vocalists and lyricists in the business.

OK - I have never heard this live version of Pisces. It is rather good and it is nice to hear that she can pull it off live.
Now, there is one other version I find two notches better, at least. And that is the live session version. It is so beautiful.
Of course, that is easier to do and it has lots of post production, even layering of her voice.
But you hear everything crisp and clear and her screams are even better.
One information - I go to the live session version quite often just to listen to it. I will not do the same with this live version.
That is how good the live session version is.
Generally I think Jinjer is better in studio than live. Their music is intricate and complex with subtle parts and Tatianas growl can be suitable enhanced. In a live video 80% of that is lost due to noise and not good enough audio. Sure, it is always nice to hear your favorite band live, but some bands have a bit more finess that is best recorded in studio.

BTW, I should have listened further before commenting. She is singing out of tune at 5:00. Searched the comments and someone claims that her in-ear was malfunctioning. Not fun for an artist. It might be hard to hear oneself on a noisy scene. One more reason to listen to the live session version.

🔥Welcome to Jinjer Jimmy & the Gringa! I just found your channel, saw your Jinjer reaction and subbed, great reaction! Thank you for bringing the fantastic genre twisting music of Jinjer to more people! I love their energy, how tight they are, how down to earth they are, the heaviness mixed with complexity and groove, beautiful singing and growling and especially Tatiana's lyrics!
The first time I heard Pisces in 2019, I hadn't liked any metal with growling and it took me a few listens to start liking it, but now Tatiana is my favorite vocalist and Jinjer my favorite band (Pisces has been my wake up alarm for a few years and I still love it more every time I hear it, snooze is a thing of the past).
TLDR: skip to the last paragraph 😂
Sorry for the long comment, I just love Jinjer too much and love seeing people discover (and usually fall in love with) them and each of their songs!
My three favorite comments about Jinjer that I've seen, "terrifying levels of talent", "I hate it when a Jinjer song ends", and a mother quoting her four year old wanting to see the "lion lady" 🤣
All four current members of Jinjer have essentially no formal musical training except Vlad the drummer who studied classical piano. For most of their songs, the three guys write most of the instrument music, then Tatiana writes most of the lyrics and melodies (she gets tons of well deserved credit for her vocal and stage performance abilities, but maybe not quite enough for her lyrical and musical composition abilities). Roman the guitarist has written a lot of the instrument music in the past, so he's a huge part of the beautiful sound of Jinjer, but Vlad the drummer (who also plays guitar and classical piano, but so far not in most Jinjer songs - I think he played piano in lainnereP) has been writing more of it and wrote nine of the eleven songs for the latest album Wallflowers. Eugene composes some - he wrote the instrument music for one song on Wallflowers and a few songs on other albums, and I know that apart from his amazing work on the bass, he adds riffs and has written lyrics for a few Jinjer songs.
Jinjer has been a tour-heavy band, touring almost nonstop from 2013 to 2020 and much of the time since then (with interruptions by covid and the US backed coup/proxy war), hard work that has made them fantastic live performers. The band (all members have been Ukrainian, with Russian their first language) started in eastern Ukraine (Donetsk) in 2008 as a group of three (then five) with none of the current members (they consider the official start of the band when Tatiana replaced the male vocalist and Roman joined as lead guitar 2009/2010), Vlad is the fifth drummer (joined in 2016) and it's been a group of four since 2015 (though they consider their road sound engineer Sasha to be a fifth member). I think they're still friends with all the former members and you can see their former guitarist turned actor, Dmitry Oksen, in older videos on guitar and a more recent video (Disclosure) playing an interrogator.
One of the things I love most about Jinjer is the messages in Tatiana's lyrics and the way she combines growling and beautiful singing with Jinjer's fantastic instrumentals to be so powerful for expressing the anger and pain in those messages: the anti-war message in Home Back, the anti-greed in On The Top, Mediator and No Hoard Of Value (also the horror of the coal mining industry in their home Ukraine), the protest song Who Is Gonna Be The One, the anti-fascism of Sit Stay Roll Over, the anger at people being narrow minded in Teacher Teacher and Judgment & Punishment, the struggles with mental health in Pit Of Consciousness, Vortex, Wallflower and Perennial, the giving voice to mother nature angry at humanity for letting capitalism destroy her in a bunch of songs like Ape, The Prophecy, Cloud Factory, Noah, Outlander and Bad Water. Other favorites are I Speak Astronomy, Retrospection, Words of Wisdom, Just Another, Captain Clock, Scissors, Exposed As A Liar, I Want It I'll Get It, A Plus Or A Minus, Dip A Sail, When Two Empires Collide, lainnereP, Prologue and Beggar's Dance (those last two are short album bookends that could do well together in one reaction if you're so inclined).
I haven't found a Jinjer song I don't love, so I think you can't go wrong if you choose any of them, but a few good choices might be Perennial (official and/or live at Wacken 2019, both are must-see), Teacher Teacher (official is the studio audio with some great footage from several shows), Judgement & Punishment (official and/or Tatiana's one take performance, again both must-see), Pit of Consciousness (official and/or live in Kiev/Kyiv, a third where both are absolutely must-see) or the heartwrenching plea against war in Home Back (official video).
Thank you both! I hope you'll keep trying out more Jinjer songs and enjoy! ❤🖤🤘
