It's interesting really. Think about it...some people will spend money on in-app purchases for games on mobile and console because it helps them progress in the game they enjoy playing. The same thing can be said for this. I think anyone who subscribes to this shit has to know it's fake but yet go on to spend their money on it means that it has to be doing something for them, enjoyment, satisfaction, sense of being heard, etc. But it is similar to most things that we spend money on that might be inanimate and don't do anything beneficial for us besides the satisfaction and enjoyment we derive from them. I couldn't even begin to imagine myself subscribing to something like this but clearly, there are many men out there who will. Men that will go on to spend THOUSANDS on this shit. Honestly, I see this coming full circle. This technology within a few years will spread as open source, or nearly free. Anyone will be able to create whoever they want, probably in VR soon enough. This is a huge emerging problem. One of the best ways to snap romance scam victims out of their delusion is to show the images of the person they were chatting with are stolen. Now with AI generated photos, and soon video, it will be impossible to convince some people. It will be so easy for scammers to generate a slightly new face and a fake voice to go with it.

Yes, this technology can be abused (similar to all technologies) but this seems like a more efficient way for AI engineers and OnlyFans models to leverage their time and effort. Which will happen and the tech will be so convincing at some point the naked eye won't be able to tell the difference. But just like in the movie "Her" where a man falls in love with an operating system he was fully aware of what he was getting into and was absolutely consenting to what was happening (although completely fictional example).
Plus women follow these same accounts. They may have different motives like fashion tips or other items and may buy the same items being promoted by AI models. Is that a scam? People have been influence by artificially made items for as long as they've been around. They even have several conventions dedicated to the craft where fans can convene, dress like their most adored character and spend tons money; one is called Comic Con. The four day event has a regional economic impact of more than $160 million. Someone should tell them that those comic book characters aren't real and they are all being scammed!
