I really disagree with Javed Sahab here. In 2007 a movie came out about dislexia with no famous stars but Amir khan as a director and doing a cameo.. that movie which dealt with such complex topic is one of the hindi cinemas most successful and appreciated movie.. other examples are Padman, Shubh Mangal Savdhan, Tannu weds Mannu, so I don't think it would be right to blame the society for it. The problem is that our big mainstream actors who have the capability to bring people to cinemas are making movies which they think the public would like. Instead they should make meaningful movies with some heart touching elements, and yes there would be some limitations, they can't experiment up to the level of an off beat film, yet we should not undermine the intelligence of the people.
