The red hand symbol is the word of blake icon. The next chapter in 'mech history is based on the blakist insurrection, and would have been the subject of MW 5 if it wasn't for the xbox and its arcade style mech games based in the dark age.
Steiner and Rogue Endings: "Little did we know that a storm was rising on Terra that would sweep all before it. A storm terrible in its passing..." Davion Ending: "It was a pretty cushy job until the winds of discontent came blowing in from Terra. Of course, that's another story altogether." Why do I get the feeling, from the narration unique to this particular ending, that the Davion ending *would* have been canon within the context of the games? Then again, in the BattleTech Canon, Peter Steiner-Davion took over as Archon of the Federated Commonwealth. The Civil War was ultimately a House Davion victory.
According to the cannon, the Prince Peter Steiner-Davion takes the throne of the FedCom after Kathrina Steiner, then he is overthrown by Adam Steiner (The guy from Battletech series) then Peter Steiner-Davion returns to the throne and dies... then Adam again takes the command... until he dies
@@Kuraimizu9152 False. Peter was brought out of self-imposed exile by Morgan Kell, an ally of Victor's. Peter defeats Nondi who was regent to the throne for the Lyran half. Peter is allied with Victor who defeats Katrina's forces on New Avalon. Peter get's the Lyran throne and Yvonne (their sister) gets the FedSuns throne. Victor remains with Comstar. During the Jihad Peter GIVES Archonship to Adam because he is surrounded by the WoB. Adam then rescues Peter and gives the Archonship back. Then Peter is killed by an assassin. Adam doesn't die until almost the Dark Ages.
Yep, Spectre was talking about the Word of Blake Jihad. If he was referring to the new Archon as Peter Steiner (since Peter was in charge of the Steiner and his sister Yvonne on the Davion side) , then he was probably in Tharkad when the WoB WarShip nuked it's underground Nuke Reactor. Ahhh, I can't wait for the remake! :D
That was the only one. And the Aerotech pilot was highly expense for what it was worth. Sometimes in MW4, you get help from Aerotech pilots, but they are not in your command. They should make a MW5, and make it mandatory to have an Aerotech pilot for some missions.
if any of you are interested there is MWLL. a total conversion mod for crysis wars on PC.... Its epic....!!!!! there are plenty of vids on utube.... enjoy..!
'The winds of change from Terra' oblique reference to the Jihad. And yes it was planned. The authors had the Jihad idea in the early days of the FedCom Civil War.
Yes. Herb Beas, the former Battletech Line Developer, confirmed that the symbol was connected to the Manei Domini (Hands of the Master in Latin) who are the elite soldiers of the Word of Blake. Specifically, the Red Hand symbol was created for this game and the writers decided to develop some lore for that symbol.
There was a MW5 being proposed, but appears to be shelved for the time being. Probably focusing more on developing Xbox titles. uk(dot)pc(dot)ign(dot)com/articles/390/390490p1(dot)html
The Manei Domini, hand of the master, the elite warriors of the Word of Blake.
Oh wow. I did not expect that MD hand at the end. DX
Damn Blakists.

It morphed into MW online. At this rate we'll never see the Jihad. Or what happened on Planet Deshler, for that matter.

@BerwickonTweed No but the game itself is now free for download and still under the process of improvement by a bunch of volunteer coders.
He really sounds nothing like Spectre...
... unless it's him as an old man telling the story.
dark age is a table top game from wizkids using their unique clix(i think that's what it called) system
Yeah that was cool. Especially with my lance. 2 Mad Cats, a hauptmann, Fafnir, Templar, a a daishi, Sunder and a Thor. That lance ruled big time
the word of blake most likely appeared at the end
all this new technology, taking controllll of meee. this game is reminicent of one i played back in the day. starsiege. good game.

@BurningBlaze95 Heh a MW game set in the Wobblies' Jihad would be a blast, literally, especially with how nuke happy the WoB is xD
Ether way, they will suffer by blood! By the name of Kerenskey...

Its a pitty they never made a PC game about the Jihad, however with the new reboot who knows this may get covered this time.
@JoshuatheKodiak Mechassault is a descrace to the fans.
@spookler game has been revived as an MMO (pc only)
>MechWarrior: started in 1989 >implying new technology.

Even then it sounds as if he had surgery to his vocal cords :/
Whats the name of the soundtrack in this ending?
Does anyone know what the RED HAND at the end of the video represents? Is it the WORD OF BLAKE?

Correction, Mechassault is a disgrace to Purists.
