I'm being patient but getting nervous because I have a trip planned in July. I ended up putting in a rental order (again) to make sure I'm covered if the backorder doesn't get fulfilled in time.

      Lovely video very relaxing. I’m sure you’ll love 150-600 - I do.
I’m intrigued by the 18-120 lens but have been put off by the negative reviews.
You can buy tick proof socks and trousers which reduce the risk of being bitten.

@stuartblink I would not recommend the 18-120 for anything but landscapes because the lens is not the sharpest until f7.1 or so. It has been a great video lens for me after latest firmware updates. Fairly small, lightweight, constant f/4, zoom range is fantastic. It’s a pretty unique lens.
Re: ticks, I do take precautions and have the specialized clothing but 15 years ago it was not like this.

@@jessejayphotography thanks for the info on the 18-120. I’ll stick with my current lenses. I could have imagined using it on an upcoming safari as my wide to tele on a second camera body. But I’ll stick to my 16-55 f2.8
