Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this ToyLok Retractable 15 foot Cable Lock with the padlock. Now, whether you're at a campsite or on a job site, this ToyLok Cable Lock will help keep your bikes, lawn chairs, generators, power tools, or small ETVs or UTVs and more safely locked. It is a cable and padlock system that'll secure the gear to help prevent theft. You can see it's all in a nice nylon case, and it installs on your RV chassis, your trailer frame, or other permanent structure. It is durable nylon, so it won't dent, scratch, or rust, and it is a bolt-on installation, comes with the tamper-resistant hardware all included.
You can see the two holes right here, so the two bolts will go through there, and then you tighten them down, and the nuts are a breakaway nut, so once you tighten them down, it'll provide protection against theft of this. Now, it does also offer available mounting kits for every application, we do sell those separately on our website. You can get a mounting bracket for a truck stake pocket, bolt this to an RV bumper, a toolbox, and at many other ones. Basically, it use these three threaded holes on the back, and they're made to attach your mounting bracket to that. And again, we usually list them on this product page as a related product.
Now, this is a retractable cable, it'll thread through the wheels, the handle bars, or any other open space. It is a braided steel construction, it's virtually impossible to cut through, it does have a nice PVC coating on it to reduce abrasion and rub marks. And on the inside of this, it has a nice, smooth acting clutch for easy cable operation, so as you see there, I can pull out the length I need, and it'll hold it at the length that you need, and then what you can do is when you pull it out again, it'll release it and pull it back in, so it prevents also cable snap back while it's retracting. Now, when you do install this, it'll give you two locking options, and you can use the included padlock. Basically, you can run this cable all the way around your items, and then put it back through here in this receptacle, and then run your padlock through there and lock it into place, or you can basically run this just like that through your items, and then let's go ahead, it gives you two keys for your lock.
Go ahead and open our lock, and you can actually put your padlock around this and lock it that way just like that. So two ways of either putting it through here and locking it or running it around the cord and locking it that way. And then again, just to unlock it, put your key in there, unlock it, take it out. And does even have a nice tethered cover under to protect the block cylinder. And then again, to retract this, just pull this out, and let it retract into place.
Few specs on this, again, the cable length inside here is 15 feet, and the cable brake strength is 8,000 pounds. But that should do it for the review on this ToyLok Retractable 15 foot Cable Lock with the padlock..
