Hearing the lyrics and seeing the old arts I can see a bit of a deeper meaning being interpreted. Japanese Flag + the "I did this to me" phrase going towards WW2 which they were involved with and kinda at fault for, for how it turned out on them. But honestly? Derpy Derp Yeah, it is sad that people had to complain about something that wasn’t mean to be and had another meaning, but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t just because they wanted to be rude, I think. As of right now, this is one of the only place where you can experience the old story. Although this image gives you a feeling of loneliness from the song and fits with the lyrics a lot more better than the new one, the new image can give you another way of interpreting the song and story as an aftermath of a never ending war with no way out. @@David-bz7pi I used to think of it as a WW2 reference but even if my ancestors were tortured by the Japanese I took no offence to it, but I think the way we made the connection was the "My imaginary children, great-great grandchildren//Singing for my one hundredth birthday cake//Saying they are proud//Saying they are proud//Of what I accomplished in my life" because Japanese supposedly "twisted" the WW2 story to make them seem like the heroes and the younger generation get so shocked when they go to the other countries and realise the contrary. I don't know, I saw the connection but wasn't upset at all. I don't know what the uproar was about-

Pixeliz3d Oh, well that’s a little sad. To be honest, why do people have to ruin it for others and make it what it’s not. I really love this cover art, since it just feel like the music. This cover art goes very well with this song. Please don’t delete this video, of course unless the original poster asks you to, but otherwise, I really like this video because the art piece and music. Sometime I love to just sit here, listen to the music and stare at the piece, just imagining what the story could be about. I really like music that has the original story, but can be interpreted into other stories and such.

Yeah, it is sad that people had to complain about something that wasn’t mean to be and had another meaning, but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t just because they wanted to be rude, I think. As of right now, this is one of the only place where you can experience the old story. Although this image gives you a feeling of loneliness from the song and fits with the lyrics a lot more better than the new one, the new image can give you another way of interpreting the song and story as an aftermath of a never ending war with no way out. I know the last part I said was kind of irrelevant to the first part, but either way, people will experience a different story from others as you said, and that may be thanks to the people who complained about this old image. It may seem like a reach, but it is a possibility.

I appreciate your kindness for considering reuploading this video, but since Mili clearly expresses how unpleasant it feels to have their work interpreted the wrong way and want no further confusion, could you please take this video down as they wish? I understand that you mean no harm. Nonetheless, it is rather disrespectful to reupload somebody's work without their permission, when they've already stated their own reasons for taking it down even. Or at least, for the time being, could you please put a warning as striking as possible in the description that this video does not deal with any political matters - especially its illustration - so that further misunderstanding shall be prevented?

Indeed, I don't have permission to upload this video, Mili can leave a report through ContentID. If the video would be deleted on RUclips, there is a Peertube. If the video would be deleted there, I’ll upload it to IPFS/ZeroNet/etc. I hate it when the memory of something just disappears. You can’t upload such a cool song with a cool cover art and then just delete it.
Although no one asked me, I consider it important to say this. Mili deleted the video in vain. The fact that some idiots saw something that is not there - is not enough reason to indulge them. Mili is becoming more popular and it is a fact. In the future, they will probably have even more such situations. If they don't show balls now - they will have to indulge idiots all the time. I don’t think that the group has a lot of chances for survival if they always delete their songs when someone imagines something.
First of all, thank you so much for the warning. Like I said, though, there is no denying that you have good intention behind this. Regardless, the video - the vocal, the music, the song, the illustration - all of it are Mili's property and therefore I believe they have the right to distribute it or delete it as they please, and this right should be theirs alone since they themselves create the video, not you or any of us. Then again, maybe I'm overthinking things. If Mili don't report your reupload, that must mean they're cool with this; but if they do, I hope that you can take it as them truly not comfortable with it being reuploaded and stop altogether. For the time being though, you're free to keep this video on YT as long as Mili doesn't make any move to take it down.
On the other hand, I must say I strongly disagree with you all the whole "indulging idiots" thing. For a start, people are at liberty to analyse works of art that are public to the community, and should not be criticised or regarded as "idiots" for having different interpretations. The picture does bare some resemblance to the Japan flag with a red circle in the middle of a white background, so their speculations are not particularly nonsense. Not fo mention Mili's songs have always been pretty vague in meaning, leaving the viewers to imagine the stories their own ways. They've never done anything similar to this before, so it must have been because political is such a sensitive, controversial issue that may cause themtrouble that they wanted to take down the video. If anything, the comments' fault lies in that they keep on mentioning politics even though Momo's already explained that that's not the case on her Twitter; but again, not every viewers know her account, so unless Mili had put a warning in the description (which I'm not sure about since I'd never re-read it), I would say that nobody is to blame here. Secondly, I don't think deleting the video was anything close to "indulge". Obviously, Mili did it because they were greatly uncomfortable with all the theories that kept coming despite having explained the song on Twitter; but instead of turning off the comment and thus preventing further discussion, they made a decision to take a new approach that'll still let everyone express their views while not causing them any discomfort either. It may not have been the most professional resolution, but I truly appreciate how they take their fans into account as well and try to ensure everyone can enjoy their songs freely.

Idiots are not those who otherwise understood everything, but those who are offended by their own interpretation. I should have clarified this in my short answers to other commentators, but I didn’t do it just because they should have been short answers. I already wrote above that only an idiot could be offended by his own interpretation, when no one stated the "official" position (before all this force majeure with the removal of the video). Also, those who were offended and demanded the removal of the video - they actually do not care about other listeners and Mili. Why indulge such people at all? I actually don’t even know if anyone demanded the removal of the video. If no one demanded this, then why harm your fans so much?
About the reupload. If the video would be removed by report, then someone will still upload it again and it’s not necessarily me. I think at least a few people have already realized that this video may stay for a short while. As for the reupload, well, I guess that in the end I don't have any right to speak on Mili's behalf, so I'll leave it to them to decide whether they want to delete this or not and stop pestering you; nor will I discuss anything about Mili's action since we obviously we have different point of views with our own reasons on this, and I must admit I'm not exactly good at debating. 1. this isn't the problem of 'being butthurt'. it should go down if it resembles such topics. would you be okay if the illustration in any way resemble the holocaust, the terrorism of 9.11 or such similar sensitive topics? mili did a great job listening to other's feedback.
2. mili literally said they didn't want their song to be interpreted as such so they took it down. they don't want this version to be around. you're disregarding the original creator's choices.
3. obviously this is against copyright? this song belongs to mili. you have no right to redistribute it. you've committed a crime whether you realize it or not. take it down. what you're doing is hurting mili. if you're really their fan, take it down.
also people, don't listen to birthday kid through this. every time you view this video, that's one less view for mili, the actual creator of the music. you guys are hurting mili just because "you like the original illust".

@@김-z3u6z Yes, I violate copyright because many people like this version more. Some things are more important than the law. Mili has the opportunity to leave a report through ContentID or contact directly. They haven't done it yet, so I think they aren't against it.
There should be a right to be called an author (I did not violate this), but the whole idea of copyright is crap. Copyleft is better.
