looks challenging but SO SO much fun to play, can’t wait to learn this
JT really loves his octaves. Great playing.
Thanks for listening
Motown and Bernard Edward’s was his influence..
Took me about a week to learn this song, playing it about 5 min a day. At first it felt a bit overwhelming but now... Its not bad at all.
How long have you been playing for? I'm looking at getting a bass and seeing if I have the time in my life to practice :)
@@tytomic9839 Please do it brother, it will be the best decision of your life. Even 30 minutes per day will be good, but it will increase, since you will love it.
@@AlexandarShmex I ended up getting that bass 9 months ago actually, and you're right because I have been loving it! About 30 mins to an hour usually, and it got me into the local high-school rock band :) Cheers for the comment.
@@tytomic9839 Bro, I'm glad to hear that! It's such a beautiful, rewarding hobby, or even a profession down the line!
@@tytomic9839 still playing i hope, you must know this song my now lol
The transition from the plucked hammer ons back to the A string is a real sticking point for me. Can’t wait til I’m able to play this song at full speed.
I play it with my thumb, makes it well easier
Thanks for exposing the real greatness of John Taylor!! Kinda wish I coulda heard his Bass a bit louder in the albums!!
I love John Taylor’s bass lines, especially this one. ✌️😙
Crazy to think that JT had only been playing bass for maybe a couple of months when he wrote and recorded this line. I generally don't believe in natural talent (hard work prevails) but maybe in this case it is true.
immensely impressive!! great job, this is gonna be one that’d gonna take me a loooooong time to learn!!
Thank you!
Same here!
I was just thinking about learning this song last night. Cool!
excellent! i'm just learning the bass and really like john's style of playing - your toot is well done - appreciate the camera angle/lighting that shows your fingering
Brilliant piece of bass playing.. attack is spot on !
🙌👏👍 more Duran Duran's songs
such a great bassline
Awesome bass cover again, Florain! 🕺🕺 great sound, time and feel. Keep on grooving 🏄🏻♂️
Thanks a lot!
So clean!!! Perfect!
Thank you!!
That was fantastic!
nice one. i might have to learn this now...
Great!!!
Absolutely amazing, but I must admit I hate you for how easy you make it look, that is one hard bass line. Incredible!!
Brilliant video. Superb tone. More Duran Duran
Thanks a lot!
Insanely fun to play! Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Im in love
Wow! Very well done!
Thank you very much!
Top!
Perfectamente bien explicado
So cool.. thank you so much🙏🙏🙏
You are so welcome
simple but effective
Love it. Maybe do either Born in the U.S.A (Bruce Springsteen) or Love Walks In (Van Halen)
True Rhythm section
yeah nvm🧍🏽
Bass on film
Awesome cover! Would love to hear view to a kill
Daamn das some good playing. Also make sure not to rest your right forearm on your bass, it'll cut off bloodflow and you could get carpel tunnel.
(just a quick time stamp!)

Any chance you could do Duran's The Reflex?
im strugfling so bad omg
What helped me get it is playing by ear, and not looking at the tab. Tabs just confuse me. Especially because you don’t need to do the fingering he does for it to sound good.
Nicely done - any tips on string muting this bassline? It's driving me nuts...
Left hand techique is key here. Try to rest your fingers flat on the strings and only fret what you need. Playing empty stings might seem a bit trickier, but it's just a matter of opening your left hand just enough to play the string and then quickly rest it on the strings again to mute it. Reducing hand movement to a minimum also helps with the speed.
When playing ghost notes in between the fretted notes, just lift your finger up until you no longer feel the string pushing against your finger, but still have it rested on the string.

See why I prefer DD to DM? Cause DD have 🔥🔥🔥🔥and lots of energy in their funky bass lines, I do like DM but the bass isn't memorable, in some ways they sounds cold to me. Obviously imho & with all due respect
Cine te-a supărat?😁

@@florainbass Era cazul 😊
I think the bass sound does not blend well in the song. Somewhat too low.
