For anyone rebuilding the Raptor 660 rear shock, you should know the seal head has two c-clips, one above and one below the head. The one below is why you can't push the head down, which is how most shocks work. So, you have remove the top c-clip (either by drilling a shallow hole underneath it or grinding the retaining edge away) and push out the head with air or oil pressure from the back. Then you will see the lower clip.
@@BroMoNtheExpress Yeah, the shock piston won't pass the lower c-clip, so you can't pull it apart. You have to use air or oil pressure to force the seal head out, remove the lower clip, and then you can remove the shock shaft.

Excellent Tip!
Thank you! I was struggling with this.
Thank you for posting this! It can be so frustrating some times when you diy things and run into road blocks. It’s nice to see if not the only one lol
Right, even a suspension shop could not do it and gave it back to me.
I'm in the same situation. So, you got the c-clip out of the shock body and it still wouldn't come out?
That is correct, I finally got the c-clip out and still no joy. I couldn't pull it apart with two vehicles.
