A few episode later she becomes an attending, and she tells richard when someone wants the best ortho they call her. So i don't think it's a problem for an board certified 5+ years resident to be alone in an OR
McMomma might be fierce and funny but with Lexie, IMHO, she stepped over the line. I know, I know; this is GA and often shy Lexie we are talking about - but IRL? Had McMomma all of a sudden grabbed hold of some young woman's face, a woman who doesn't know her, and started demanding info about her sexual partners and criminal record, best she would have gotten would be, "None of your business ands off me, ma'am or I'm calling security!"
Meredith's, Alex's,George's, Izzie's, Christina's, Derek's, Burke's(Preston: I just realized I named everyone except him by their first name), Owen's, Callie's, Lexie's and even Bailey's parents were brought into the story to build their charachters. But for Mark this was it. He had real parent troubles.
I always felt like Mama Shepard wanted to know if she was anything like Addison a cheater, if she was a good person had flaws but not a cheater type. Someone willing to keep Mark on his toes. Which Lexie was, Mark only ever loved Lexie he never cheated on her just sadly sleep with others when they broke up. Mama Shepard did say to Mark afterwards that Lexie was a good person for him(so basically not to f it up lol).
I actually think he was perfect, and this woman understood where this man was coming from. No one could realize it, but Lexie had the capacity to cut that man by the balls and drag him to a fire and he wouldn't know how to handle himself. Derek's mother knew that because she raised him and he is her son in many ways so she could see how much he'd fallen for her before even he realized it. Iny opinion that was a mother's unconditional love, it didn't matter what he was, she was hers and she felt the need to protect him.

I have a shorter brother.. trust me .. everyone cares. That procedure? You can be damn sure he would do it, if he could have . I am not my brother so I would never assume to fully understand that pain. But trust me when I say.. being a short man like that is a serious type of disability in a world where most women like to wear 3 to 5 inch heels to begin with. Hell . It’s absurd enough that even people like Tom cruise with his nearly 5 ‘7 wear height shoes wherever they go so people won’t refer to them as midgets.
Those girls r shallow. Idk how old your brother is but if he’s a good guy the right girl will not care. And trust me not wearing heels is an added benefit to the shortness. We wear heels because they make us look taller r butt better and guys love them. We can not wait to take off the heels when we get home heck an hr into wearing them!!

It’s her boyfriend’s sort of surrogate mom and her brother-in-law’s actual mom. So that wasn’t a stranger lol it was being inspected by the in-laws moment 😂
Unpopular opinions : 1) Mark is one of the worst characters on this show. He slept with Derek's wife and shows little to no remorse about it since he tries to sleep with her again. When she leaves to work in la he pretends that he was always there to get Derek back into his life. He also slept with all of Derek's sisters which is just wrong. No matter how good friends you are you don't do that to a friend. If he had at least told Derek about this before going after his sisters that would have been different. 2) Derek's mother loves Mark more than Derek. She is not angry that mark slept with Derek's wife at all. In this clip she even encourages him to go after Lexi who is way younger than him after Derek clearly told him not to.
Soumil Singh I don’t think she loves him more I just think since she raised him she understands what low expectations he has of himself and the fact his parents didn’t Carr for him she felt she had to give him a bit more attention just so he would know what love was

Actions do not have consequences apparently. I understand if Mark slept with Derek's wife and then moved to Seattle to apologize to Derek. He would forgive mark in time if he wasn't actively trying to sleep with her again but I doubt he would become best friends with him again which is exactly what happened on the show. Lexi hitting on mark and mark not sleeping with her would have actually shown significant character development. Him going from being a womanizing pig that slept with HIS BEST FREIND'S WIFE AND SISTERS and half the hospital staff to being a responsible adult man who understand the need for mature relationship with a woman his age would have definitely made him one of the best characters on the show.
