#FLUKE #25 #27 #8025B #8025A
I really like the 27 series. I bought a number of years back a 27/FM from an antique store. It came with the hard shell case and leads and a 6KV probe! Nice score! And it's been a champ of service for close to 10 years now. I recently had it calibrated back in mid 2021 and I doubt they even adjusted it. But at least I know it's right on or so within spec. I believe the FM was RMS for AC voltages. I never had a problem with the meter and use it often. It lives in my toolbox as a handy meter for lugging around. Though I do not use it as often anymore as I have had a Fluke 189 for a few years now. It's also a great meter! The 27/FM is something that you can beat up and it just keeps going! In fact I just changed the orings on the screws as they were looking a bit less O and more like a frisbee lol.
Yes indeed very nice, and unbreakable in normal use. The misconception with calibration services is, that they mostly verify only if it is still in specs adjustments are not done , mostly this is only done by the brand itself. and i love the 189
I hadn’t heard of these multimeters until I saw this review. I found one in essentially new condition (fluke 27 yellow/black model) and received it today and have been having a tinker. Such a high quality item! Notably, using a fluke i400e current clamp on millivolt setting it measures accurately down to 0.1 millivolt/0.1 amps. My fluke 117 won’t measure below 2.4 millivolt/2.4 amps in comparison. Thank you for bringing these and other quality items to my attention. Cheers from Australia.
Great! yes Fluke made lots lots of stuff and with some great quality too even in those years.
'Lifetime warranty/guarantee' refers the lifetime of the meter and it's legally meaningless since if it does fail and you claim under the lifetime warranty, they will just say that the meter has reached the end of it's lifetime, basically it died of natural causes and they are not obliged to do anything about it.
LOL... yes noo warranty becouse its death :))
Where to buy the box sir?

There is also a 27 (not FM) in full yellow (no gray) that is MSHA spec. It is not TRMS like the mil FM version. Ebay was saturated with these great meters (mostly military surplus) a few years ago at bargain prices and even included the 12kv HV probe.
*errata corrected: 6kv HV probe. Oops.
i missed those.. pitty, nice to have those HV probes too
I bought 3 Flukes 27FM 10 years ago.
Amazing multimeter.
Thank you Tony for another Fluke Friday! I own a Fluke 8025A from 1982 and have used it for many, many years. As you said, built like a brick but also reliable and accurate. I check it against my Fluke 5100A calibrator and have never had to adjust it. Have you looked at the AC output of your little calibration tester with an oscilloscope just to verify its output? It appears all of your multimeters read around 5.5 volts - can they all be wrong? I ask because the 27 looked spot on at 50 Hz when connected to the 5100B. Regards, David
Hi David... yes build like a brick.. amazing. the little calibrator does a square wave.. on average that is more then a sine wave thats why it shows more... new multimeters have a smart chip that corrects that.. its called true rms. older multimeres doe not have that..
Excellent video and teardown for comparison of holding calibration and comparing internal construction.
Thank you so much!
Hi Tony, a true FLUKE FLEET, a premium line of instruments, Quality, Precision and Robust, should re-manufacture this line of instruments for industrial use... 👍👍👏👏
Thanks!.. yes good quality
Hello my friend? Do you have the electronic schematic for the Fluke 233?
Hi, no, i did not found it.
Been enjoying your videos thank you, I've got the fluke bug too 😅,
Thank you! having the fluke bug, you are never bored they have so many types.. only thing is you run out of money :)
thanks for watching!
thank you very much for the video!
You are welcome!
Nice episode again! I’ve got the yellow and yellow/grey version of the 27 and they both have a slightly different display. One has a straight font and the other is italic, just as the 70 series.
Thanks Marnix... so many versions in this one series 25.27..
27 FM refacciones en EEUU correo electrónico.estimado tonny..
Thank you
OMG! the LPL reckons flukes were bad!!!!
Hi private... what is The LPL ?
What a fascinating episode Tony. Considering there age and the fact that the calibration is carried out by adjusted by adjusting potentiometers, I was amazed with their accuracy . Nice to see the Fluke Calibrator being used too and as I said before I love how easy that is do drive. Yes you cannot get away from calibration stickers even today however you seem to clean them off well. As always I was impressed by your process calibrators and especially the DMMcheck. I see in the list of related items you have listed a SDG1032X. Is that something you have recently purchased or is it on loan from your friends at eleshop ?
Thank you so much Ian!. lot of work, but nice to have it on video for future.. this must have been a very proffesional serie.. so many adjustments indeed. You are correct on the calibrator... i never have read the manual.. it just makes sense... i will read some when the FF reaches that number.. and try some more advanced options. The DMMcheckplus is great in accuracy 6.5 but limited to 5 volts only and 1 mA AC and DC.. the LB02A is good for 4.5 digits..and it more flexible.. but have their purpose. The SDG1032X is new my SDG1010 was not good anymore.. yes from Eleshop.. i used it in a Fluke video before to show TrueRMS or AVG for AC on the older meters. Thanks for your nice comments
Excelente 👌
Thank you!
Hi Tony
Could you recommend a usb stick for oscilloscopes as the ones I have don't work for firmware updates. Liking the videos keep it up and many thanks.
Hi Mark, i use SanDisk 8Gb and formatted FAT32 some scopes can not handle more then 8 Gb.
You missed the Fluke 16
Correct, i did not have it at that time, but i do have now, while the series goes, i am still collecting too.
i am missing much more... the 12 has also many more versions
@@TonyAlbus The Fluke 16 is a very nice compact meter. I like the turn switch more than the Fluke 12 button panel.
@@lancelink88 Yes agree, the 12B and 12E+ also have a turn switch :)
Stay tuned.. i will do much more fluke friday and am still collecting more and more types.
👍👍
Thanks!
Seri fluke 25..baguskah?
It is an older series, but very strong, it was even used in the army
@@TonyAlbus i just bought it from a colletor the flike 25 is still in good condition&the box & tesleads are otiginal
@@junaidinajun9818 Very nice!
