Haha, maybe because many of your viewers already have 703s? You made a good comparison. The 2C23T seems less wobbly, more functional construction and a more developed waveform generator. The 703s is more efficient and has stronger oscilloscope with X-Y mode, which I believe is more important. Both are good, and I hope both can learn from each other and improve in the future. Thank you

As a technician I have always wanted a portable oscilloscope available in a multimeter format. From your description the Zoyi-703S seems to be the far superior option. The accuracy and ease of use is better than the other unit. XY mode and fast capture will be of more use than the temperature capability Thank you Tim for your review, it has helped me choose the better one. I want the Zoyi-703S !!🤞😊
Thanks for the video, it helped me to realize Zoyi is the option that best suits my needs. Actually it was in good timing as I did already placed the order for the Fnirsi tester, which obviously cancelled just in time after watching this video. Two main dealbreakers: X-Y mode and higher bandwith
Either is attractive, but I prefer the ZOYI ZT-703s, because better bandwidth and XY mode. It was easy to decide because your review is very concise and you showed exactly what I needed to know. Now if they performed the same, I would prefer the smaller flatter form factor of the FNIRSI.
I bought a FNIRST and it was bad from the start. They (FNIRST) would only message via their support webpage/window, basically they told me send pictures (I did), they said it was working fine (I told them I did not want it). They stopped responding and I have to eat the lose (throw it away). After many email and the insults I just gave up. SO "their support" is very bad. Going to get the 703S after this video. Thanks sir. FYI: BSEE since 1979, I have 4 other scopes (2 analog scopes). Yea, pretty sure it was NOT me. Never bought from them again and I always direct people to the "OTHER option" if there is one.
UPDATE. With the new 1.4.2. firmware update we now have a third trace available in the form of "FFT" (FAST FOURIER TRANSFORM) availability in glorious RED colour. It replaces the FORMAT position in the fourth menu which was used to delete the stored screen shots. It changes the "X" axis from time to frequency and as such changes the display to that of a a spectrum analyser. Frequency is plotted along the x-axis and amplitude is plotted along the y-axis. FFTs often look like a series of mountain peaks. The horizontal location of peaks indicates which frequencies are strongly present in the W/F. The valleys show which frequencies are absent. I tried this with the built in calibration sig gen on all the available W/Fs and it shows the strongest frequency is the prime 1 KHz followed in the case of square waves by diminishing amplitude peaks at each successive square wave. Quite useful when checking audio problems etc. The second change in the menu is in the 2nd row, what used to be the trigger position, is now "SAMPLE" with two choices, HD & PEAK, peak.
I have tried both of these instruments and my final choice was the 703S. I wanted to resolve an analogue video wave form and the 703s was better at that. The sig gen was less of an incentive as I already have a very capable one and the scope was the most important element to me. Its unfortunate that the sig gen cannot be used at the same time as the scope, you need to connect another scope to the side connectors to view it and you have to press the mode button to clear the sig gen set up screen and this enables the scope again, but the output changes to the 1KHz probe set up sig gen, its not the same as the main one. Other than that with the latest firmware V1.4.2. its a very competent tool.

I got ZOYI S3, and I gotta say, after using it for a month, it has A LOT of bugs. Sometimes something as simple as wrong voltage reading, it has trouble if the DC voltage is variable. Voltmeter doesn't understand what's going on and even shows negative values and I have to turn it on and off for it to read properly, while osciollocope sometimes shows 50v when I have 5v going from power supply. There are many other bugs, but didn't expect bugs with reading values and even formatting.
It still has a lot of bugs. The Zoyi measures the signal poorly, so sometimes I have to use the cursor. What you wrote that you measured the 5V power supply as 50V looks like user error to me.
