Yoongi isn't killing off Agust D he's saying that Suga, Agust D and even Yoongi are essencially the same being and there is no need to differentiate them anymore. He's healed enough to know that they are all part of who he is and there is no longer any need for the seperation from now on.
So he can still be known as all 3 names.

The amygdala is a part of the brain that detects threats and activates fear response. “Fight or flight” response. It also helps retain memory of certain events such as trauma.

This song talks about his past, his pains when he worked as a delivery man, his shoulder hurt when he went to bts and people's criticism, his own family problems, his parents' illness
August d, whom we thought was the king we loved, is the dark side of Yongi, caused by pain, torture and mental disorder
He tries to overcome and destroy his dark side, which is thinking about the past and bad things, so he kills Yoongi from the previous song HAEGEUM and Daechwita a agust d

@@saiyongdawn7756 bc scars (scar is making pain by himself and depression) of Yoongi born AGUST D in Yoongi, his alter ego. Also he(AGUST D) say to himself(Min Yoongi) "i dont know your name", and Yoongi also say to AGUST D " i dont know your name", i think, because AGUST D is Yoongi with scars, and Yoongi is AGUST D, but without scars

@@saiyongdawn7756 Yes, he had an accident while working as a delivery man and when he left BTS hid the accident for fear of being fired by the company
In 2020, he underwent surgery on a shoulder injury that kept him out of training for a long time
I don't know 100 percent why he hurts his eyes, but Yoongi has tried to commit suicide several times and was mentally upset because of his problems
But if I'm not mistaken, the wound in his eye means how bad he is thinking and can't control it, so the door wasn't opened because he can't get rid of that part of his brain
He couldn't get rid of bad thoughts, but if you notice, the wound is very deep here, and in the song HAEGEUM it is not very deep
That means that the past has affected him less and he is happy and free of that mental state. Yoongi really deserves to be happy
I hope I was able to answer your question because my English is not very good

Still not over for this very raw and honest MV. It takes a lot of courage and bravery for him to be able to share his vulnerable and painful past to us..
In this MV, it's not scripted at all. All scenes are part of his life and truly happened. The scar in his right eye represents his trauma and tragic past. He's been through a lot. I wish him nothing but happiness and love.

Can we all appreciate how good actor Yoongi is if he decides to one day take it up he'll be wildly successful.
No one notices but the door has eviction notices taped to it on the outside, is Suga trying to evict Agust D, while Yoongi is trying to open the door and help him get out.
This video has so many small details that are overlooked, I wonder if anyone but me notice these things?

Yoongi has shared his mental health issues with us since the beginning, and he stated how some of his roughest times were in the early days, like from 2014 to 2016, how he developed social anxiety at age 18, he was dealing with depression, anxiety, and OCD. BTS had hate coming at them from all angles, and it took a toll on them in the early years. So hearing all the other things he was dealing with as well, just puts things into perspective. He's such a strong person. In the making video, he said the scars we create are of our own making. So the best way for him to represent that was the way that he did with the scar on his face. And the medicine he took was for his condition. He talked about how he saw a psychiatrist and his parents went with him, and they said they didn't know who he was anymore. This was in "The Last" from his first mixtape Agust D.
He said how could anyone know him when he doesn't know himself, so that phrase "I don't know your name" made sense to me. Looking back at repressed memories. Thankfully he got through all of it, and now is healed to a certain degree. I see the rain as a shift., He also talked about "What doesn't kill you make you stronger", and he is now blooming like a lotus flower. The lotus flower is very resilient, and can grow in mud and water, like on a lake or pond. So I see the rain as cleansing, and healing.
He also said in the behind the scenes on Daechwita, that the mad King was the Agust D from his first Mixtape in 2016, and the peasant was from his 2020 mixtape D-2. You can see the scar is very raw in that video on both of them, maybe slightly less for the 2020 Agust D. In Haegeum, i interpret it as Agust D from 2020 is the Police detective/corrupt Boss, with the partially healed scar, and the Agust D that kills, and steals the money with no scar is D-Day Agust D. The one that is mostly healed and is talking about freedom. (Do we ever completely heal from our scars?) In an interview with IU, and in the D-Day film, he talks about how he was very angry and now he has forgiven the haters and is living in the present. So his music moving forward may not have the angry vibe that we have seen in the past. But he is definitely not done yet

This song is heartbreaking and shows the trauma that he went through and because of his depression and emotional problems created the persona AgustD to replace the feeling to self harm.
Because of his family struggles he hid his injuries from his accident and struggled for years because it never was treated ( he actually just got corrective surgery just a few years ago).
The fact that he opened up and exposed this much of his inner struggles is amazing and inspiring.
The video is a look inside his mind . And just a side note... at the end of the video he says lets go back and erase the bad memories then the video shows him get up after the accident and run to try to open the door to which he fails. The point of this is that as much as we try we can not erase our traumatic memories we just have to pray we can learn to cope with them hence the title of the song.

Suicides happen way too often in the k-pop industry! Because of this, the industry pressures idols to keep quiet about this huge issue. For Suga to talk about his suicidal attempt is hugely brave! So he is helping everyone else in k-pop who are afraid to speak up, who are being manipulated by companies with guilt and accusations of "you have to shut up because it's a shame"! For me, Suga is "man of the year" because people in the west have no idea how much pressure there is on him on social media from the trolls of different companies after the song came out! He was grossly insulted and even reached the moral bottom of the insults with comments like "you are looking for attention", "you are making up this story to become famous"! It's true that the fandom has known about the suicidal attempt for years because Suga and the boys have talked about it over the years. But many of the new fans had no idea and now the company and all the real culprits of what happened are trying to manipulate them with the explanation "this is a made up story"! I'm glad you understood what the video was about and didn't deny it like many bloggers who get paid by k pop companies!

Or the drugs he took in huge quantities? And the ambulance? Or the light at the tunnel? Dude, he was even in clinical death! And fans have known it for years, since he talks about it in many of his songs! And you, if you like show due respect to Suga's courage to speak openly about this issue! Because many people need to hear it! And don't you be aware, the ban on talking about suicide is a trigger for anyone who wants to make such an attempt! No wonder there is a hotline for like-minded people!

@@KatieGeorgieva struggling with suicidal ideation and thoughts is NOT the same as an attempt. He never once said anything about attempting. He's certainly said he has had thoughts. His first mixtape showed that. And being in and out of therapy. Don't attack someone for calling you out on claiming something that has not been confirmed or told to us.
Editing to add that self harm/mutilation and doing wreckless things is also not an attempt. An attempt is something that is super serious, thought out, and strategically planned.

It's not only high in the K-pop industry but also in the rest of South Korea in general. In almost every field people stay silent about their mental issues because this could prevent you from getting a job. And if you work the limit of a work week is at 52 which is alot, this doesn't help much with your mental health either

So...the thing with the dream and all that:
The accident depicted in the mv actually happened to him. Many people who go through traumatic situations will dream those situations again and again for a very long time, and the only way to escape it is to wake yourself up or go through the long process of processing what happened and working out its affects on yourself. (Similar to how veterans are often very dangerous and aggressive if woken up from sleep from being touched, so nurses will try to wake them up by voice alone or toss something small at their toes.)
Rewatch it ditching the which persona is what thing and it might make more sense.

This is all his real life truma's the accident was far worse than depicted in the MV for example and he lied about it because of Fear, fear that if the company knew he was working part time while a trainee he'd be in trouble. Also that if they knew he was in a lot of pain he'd not be able to Debut with BTS. So he hid it cause him physical pain and also mental pain. In the end because he didn't get the correct treatment at the time it just got worse and worse to the extend he had to have corrective surgery for it. He now has his BTS friendship tattoo next to the operations scar on his shoulder. (All 7 members have the same friendship tattoo a number 7).
He's asking his Amygdala to kick in and save him. He says now he's ok and he finally went through the door with a smile on his face on the last day of his last solo concert and show that he's finally in a different place (at Peace).

His mom’s heart surgery the month he was born, that is not a memory, it’s something else, a feeling of guilt maybe? Somewhere Suga said it is not exactly the story of his past, I guess he skipped his mental problems, like when his thoughts got corrupted and his parents took him to a psychiatrist (lyrics of The last).
