Bro, those are both real. Ike doesn't always use the same factory to build their shoes. And the factories get in all sorts of different samples of leather. Nike also contracts different printers for its boxes so they don't all come out the same.
I also the differences in sizes could accounts for the difference in the quality of materials being used.

No 2 shoe is exact. Manufacturers make the same shoe over and over. That leads to wear on equipment and human error flaws.

Ik this is late but I think the reason the shoes are a little off is because jordan brand didn't put these through QC and in result the flawed shoes came to retailers.

The red on the side has to line up straight down the middle of the shoe use a pencil and the red sides the reptile texture can't be popping out so much it's a smooth it's like both shoes has there flaws cause you can tell fake ones by the scale texture and the sticking in the back of shoe
I copped two pair one from Footaction and one from Hibbets and they are the same way one kinda different from the other. I think it's a factory flaw now that I see yours are the same way.

On mine I got from finishline the left shoe has the reptile print and on the right its flat

check the insoles i got a pair size 10 from champs and the bottom of my insole was blue every other pair i have it's grayish black
The heel tabs fine the make the loop bigger with size 12 so bigger people can fit their finger through
got gym reds from footaction saturday and toe box is off, the wrap around leather doesnt line up with the little line coming from the sole, both shoes off. now everybody gunna think they fake but its the only pair i got and i picked them up myself from footaction, i may send them back, jb becoming junk, they hard as a rock too. im afraid if i drop them they gunna break
the overlay on the right shoe looks like the texture on a bball, rather than the "reptile"

I went through the exact same situation. I copped two pairs of the flues from a raffle.Both pairs from DTLR different stores hear in Virginia. One pair the print was bold on both sides and the other pair just like your footaction pair the print was very dull towards the toe but more pronounced when you go towards the rear. I just took it as jordan quality hasn't been good since 06 through maybe 09 my 09 cherry 12 were ok the leather was stiff as shit but they stayed crispy though. Honestly im almost done with jays now I've seen some UA authentics and honestly in most cases its the same shoe. Might be some flaws but the retail pairs have flaws too.Now I've seen some bad UAs too,but the whole process of running around for raffles and may not get a pair its just exhausting .

I see the flaws but when I got mine from finish line a small chunk of leather was missing like someone took a knife and cut the top layer of the tumbled leather, I just think that there was a mass production in the shoe and a rush to get these out.... Quality was prob a lil poor on some but hey we wanted Quantity guess that's what u get

Based on what I hear and the ones I received from Finish Line, the texture is supposed to be flat. I purchased some for my son on Nike.com and they are also flat. Nike is just very inconsistent regarding quality. Ultimately their shoes are made in China, probably in the same factories as the UA.

I think they're both real the factories hand make them so of course not every shoe is going to be exact exactly identical but I can see the differences in the reptile skin ones poppin and the other is smooth.

I know I’m getting to the video about 4 years to late, but from all the research I’ve done recently, this both look legit. One of the tells is that transparent piece on the top of the heal rubber. Fake ones are solid red right there. The form of the shoe is the same. I’ve seen enough 12s to know that the jumpman tab on the side is sometimes a little off, but on the fakes that tab is way bigger. Just quality control issues.

I copped a pair a week before release from eBay and they looked legit but when I really looked at them they had similar flaws to what you pointed out. Ultimately, on the heel tab where it should say "Quality inspired by the greatest ever." Mine said "Quality inspred by the greatest player ever." I could accept all the other flaws but that....even with the box being smaller than my Masters and French Blues. I sent them back for a refund...so good video. Keep it up, brotha

I thnk the size 10s are a UA PAIR! Have a look on the T' on the two on the toungue..If the T is skinny and thin thn its a replica or if u screw up the toungue it should shape back up but it doesnt thn u already knw!

bro line up the front of the shoe its supposed to be centerted from the rubber to the leather. then lift the sole if its black and white stiching its a ua pair. but trust me its hard to tell besides those details.

Hey guys, I just have a question. I brought my Flu Games from a reseller at SneakerCon this past weekend and got them authenticated at their Authentication Pit. The only part that got me thinking was the fact that it didn't have the retail sticker on the edge of the lid of the box. I think it makes sense because I brought them deadstock, but I just want to make sure. The sticker on the tongue of the kicks has "LN3," the color code label on the box has the numbers "130690 002," etc. Like I said, I got them authenticated at the event, but I just want to make sure that they're not supposed to include the retail sticker. Thank you all.
Also, they didn't come with the Retro Card, but I think that's how the 12s are in general. Can someone confirm this for me as well?

I work at a plant that make seats for a hyundai. These seats are mass produced and you are rushed to hit targets. Flaws will come in anything mass production company I know this for a fact. Even the material come from another company will have flaws. Each part of the shoe probably come from another company that let a flaw material get by. But I think they are from a legit source just got a flawed pair

My one is retail, and I m telling you, the reptile skin part of my pair looks flat as well....
Minor flaws, I know a chick who worked directly for the great Nike folk... She told me go to outlets a week after any Js or whatever drop about 15-20% are labeled as "b-grade" or flawed after construction they pass through a computer eye and it scans em, the flawed ones end up in outlets... Got a pair of Bel-Air 5s in the outlet for $150 back when they dropped... A machine scuff and miss lined inner lining in the insole...

Foot Action doesnt sell fakes. That's either a factory defect or one of the employees switched them out with chinese replicas.
they're both authentic it's just each pair of shoes that are made are not gonna be exactly identical... the difference you see in each pair are just a factory flaw but they are authentic... if you end up getting a pair that's fake it will be obvious cause you will be able to tell that something is off but if your just seeing little flaws in it then you're pair is fine especially if you got it from Nike or any legit shoe store
