the theme they are playing around 44:00 is without any doubt "la mela di odessa " by the italian prog group "Area". you really need to check that piece! the singer of "area" , Demetrio Stratos, was really a great artist and singer, he could do things with his voice, like playing multi sounds with his voice, the so called "diplofonie" and "flautofonie"

I live in Florence, Italy, so I had the pleasure to meet Ares Tavolazzi (their bass player) and play a jam with him a few years back. What can I say, to me it was like jamming with Hendrix. Finding an AREA sample means I'm going to like and subscribe at the speed of light. Peace!
